"bro i hate maomao shes such an awful protagonist and so annoying"
ur just a hater because if i had a face card so lethal i had to nerf my appearance everyday, a long lost father who is always trying to get closer to me, an adoptive father who i mean the world to, 3 big adoptive big sisters in a brothel (one of them being a mother figure to her), a grandmother figure who runs that brothel, the most beautiful person in the country down bad for me, all 4 concubines of the emperor love me, my coworkers love me, AND the emperor loves me and everyone regards me as an extremely talented and respectable person within my first year of working somewhere i never wanted to be in in the first place? yeah, i'd be annoying about it. jussayin

People have written a lot of touchy-feely pieces on this subject but I thought Iβd get right to the heart of the matter
Mori is not a child predator nor is he an intentional abuser; narratively, he's the representation of the way Ability users are dehumanized and the justification behind it. He prioritizes the 'optimal solution'; that means that Ability users, capable of so much more than the average person, must be pushed to their brink for the good of everyone else. Mori was not lying when he told Yosano that, ordinarily, he would never be able to resist the request of a little girl; as seen in Beast, he does seem to genuinely care for children specifically. The issue, however, is that he did not see Yosano as a child due to her Ability; she could not be a person, but an instrument of a greater good. This is the same way he treats Dazai, Chuuya, and arguably himself; as Ability users they must be organs of a greater good instead of people, not afforded the same right to childhood and protection or desires.

OMD YOU'RE INTO THE DISABLED TYRANT'S BELOVED PET PALM FISH TOO!! YAYAYAY
Not yet... A friend of mine and I decided to read this novel because it sounds just so incredibly silly ("dainty concubine" in the blurb is what actually sold it to her) and we have planned to read it this May. However, I just cannot help looking forward to the reading experience so I'm currently indulging in microspoilers (mainly art) as a way to have at least some interactions with the novel. I just cannot wait!!
It seems I keep stumbling on your blog and procrastinating asking you how you are. Here I am again. :D Today, I give you a book recommendation. Pachinko by Min Jin Lee
I'm... okayish, haha. What about you? Has anything interesting happened lately?
Also, thank you for the book rec! I'll try to read it this year. It sounds interesting and, as I just learned, is an international bestseller (I had not heard of it before for some reason). The book's description on Goodreads reminds me just so slightly of The Setting Sun by Osamu Dazai. Yet, I'm sure it is quite different (probably better) .
i hope im a positive influence on somebodyβs life
So, I bought myself some Chinese supplies. Inks and brushes, mainly. I wanted to try them out and, well, this happened. I'm extremely shabby, so this is actually a piece of the paper they put in the packages to protect the wares, therefore the creases.
I actually bought some xuan paper, too, I'm not only using garbage to paint *all* the time (although the pic of the previous post was drawn on the packaging of some yoghurt) so this also happened because it's like I'm always drawing Xie Lian and I don't think he's sold separatedly, so here's Hua Cheng. It's like they are looking for each other or something. I'm still terrible at this style, but I'll keep on working until I'm not.
imagining liu qingge hopelessly watching shen yuan go away with luo binghe after spending five years fighting tirelessly for his corpse is destroying me so bad right now. like ohhhmy god. can not recall the last time i was into a guy who pined this hard and tragically
"Li Yu was a little hesitant, but Prince Jing was smilling as he walked up to him. He patted Li Yu on the head, pulled out a white jade hairpin shaped like a fish, and carefully put it in Li Yu's hair."

The beautiful thing about The Disabled Tyrant's Beloved Pet Fish is that no matter how much I try to joke, it's impossible to beat the absolutely canon thing that happen in it.

My running theory for why itβs taking so long to get updates on the next tgcf donghua seasons is that theyβre desperately trying to figure out how to adapt the fetus spirit and Black Water arcs in a not-gay way but itβs not working bc Hualianβs go-to strategy for solving their problems is just by making out repeatedly for two books straight
