I write BG3 fanfic about having a bad time and learning to carry on anyway! It's good fun! And also devastating!

Big fan of characters realizing they don't get to die. They have to live. And grow. And be a person. And deal with shit they thought they'd never have to. And be fucked up about it. I would like more of this. Enough dying for honor or as redemption. It ain't. You're just a corpse. There is no moral value in dirt time.
the shimp got too much attention and now there are transphobes in my notes, this is a transgender blog run by a transgender dyke. fuckers.
talking about your feelings is SO important I won’t do it but u guys definitely should
hey i saw you across the room at the devil's sacrament and loved your vibe
characters have to be a little bit awful in ways that you cant defend. its good for the ecosystem. your honor he did do that. He did in fact do that
Just when you thought you were safe, here I come to hit you with the old one-two!
As in, TWO CHAPTERS- though you probably will want to read the one in Wings Outstretched first - but they might work the other way round now I think on it. Up to you, I guess.
And we’re off! Next story is up on AO3, and updates should come at least once every ten days as with previous (I just realised I’m working off a tenday-based schedule, this was not intentional), and I will try to post here in case of a delay.
I'm curious--how do you guys go about creating your OCs?
You know when
Yeah sorry I’ll never be normal about characters who only see themselves as having value in what they can do for others. Yeah it’s terminal. Sorry.
Going to be a delay on the next chapter - probably longer than a day, unfortunately. I'm going to tentatively say 5 days - but if it's done before then I'll post it asap, and if it takes longer, I'll let you know on the day.
[about my own oc, who i created] in theory its possible she would say that, but we just dont know for sure
“what’s your writing process” i put a pathetic guy in a blender and blend blend blend
Me while writing: oh hell yes this is such a good sentence I'm the master of poetic imagery
The writing when I go back to edit:
The true good ending.
Music from here (I wasn't planning to use it but then it fit really well (and this was the only link I could find))
lovely character. i need him to finally break down sobbing clutching his chest like it'll stop the pain crumpling to the floor begging God to either help him or let him die
the self-indulgent fanfiction will continue until morale improves
Things that work in fiction but not real life
torture getting reliable information out of people
knocking someone out to harmlessly incapacitate them for like an hour
jumping into water from staggering heights and surviving the fall completely intact
calling the police to deescalate a situation
rafting your way off a desert island
correctly profiling total strangers based on vibes
effectively operating every computer by typing and nothing else
ripping an IV out of your arm without consequences
heterosexual cowboy
Do not name a character after a common food ingredient. They will haunt you... they will be on menus...
hey bro why does your speech bubble become heart shaped when we talk ? bro why did the tail on your speech bubble curl around and make a little heart shape
Not having a traditional job or plans to get an education will have people asking you things like so what is the purpose of you staying alive?
john carpenter’s the thing is a movie about how the hyperindividualism and lack of emotional intimacy between men (specifically men in the united states military) immediately crystallizes into distrust and alienation in crisis. how kurt russel with an absurd callsign name and the goofiest hugest cowboy hat imaginable is the Man, running the whole show and managing the crisis until he fails because when faced with having to truly understand and connect with his last remaining ally he can’t, because all he knows how to do is sit in the snow and die next to him. It is a movie about losing control over your own body in the most horrific way possible. It is a movie about cold war paranoia and fear of bloodborne pathogens. It is a movie about how dread is an incredible force and even so sometimes what you CAN see is worse than what you can imagine. It is a movie about how the scariest thing men can conceive of is something that looks exactly like a man and acts exactly like a man but yet on some fundamental level…isn’t. It is a movie, as one of my eleventh graders pointed out this week, about “playing among us in real life.” but most importantly, john carpenter’s the thing is a movie about a dogy who is my friend and wants to become me :)
Chapter 12 - Bad People! (I did consider naming it Good People to fit the apparent running theme of hilariously optimistic chapter titles I've had recently but no)
One day late, I forgot to say yesterday - whoops - but, fun fact, today is the one year anniversary of me posting the first chapter of More Graves to Dig, how wild is that? Feels crazy to think it's been that long already.
And we’re off! Next story is up on AO3, and updates should come at least once every ten days as with previous (I just realised I’m working off a tenday-based schedule, this was not intentional), and I will try to post here in case of a delay.
I've been sick AF for days and my brain is barely functional. I saw the Goose Mother MTG card posted on D&D beyond and I immediately brain-rotted it into Goostarion...
anyone else hate asking for help and would rather set themselves on fire than do it or is that just me
