๐ Hobbies ๐
I feel as tho I don't have much time to do things besides school, work, some chores, and survive right now, but I've been thinking about some hobbies I enjoy and would like to incorporate into my life when I decide to make the time without burning out!
Reading - I used to be big on reading just about any books I could get my hands on. Then I was really focused on reading self help, and now that I haven't been reading at all, I've been thinking about getting back into reading. Always looking for book recommendations, and I do have my eye on some books I'd like to purchase.
Gardening - if I had the time and space, I'd love to have a flower garden or a vegetable garden. It always makes me happy when the fruits of my efforts come to life, so tending to plants and gardening sounds super fun and relaxing.
Video Games - I used to play video games on and off, but I wouldn't mind owning a PS4 or a Switch and spending some time playing video games whenever I'd want time to wind down.
Cooking/Baking - I love learning things, and the sense of pride I've gotten in the past when receiving praise for things I've cooked or baked has really driven me to want to increase my skill. I've only baked something from scratch once in my life, but I'd really like to expand my skills in making desserts.
Exercise - I'm talking all forms of it! Dancing, martial arts/kickboxing type activities, yoga, pilates, running, swimming, spin/cycling, weight lifting (again), calisthenics, all of it! I don't currently look like the exercise type but I find various forms of movement to be so fun! If I had more time, I'd be trying new things all the time!
Volunteer work - This is something I used to do all the time, and it's a hobby that I enjoyed that kept me humble. Not only that, but I thoroughly enjoy showing kindness and compassion to others. Making a difference in anuwau brings me so much joy, and I love meeting new people and learning their stories. I also would love to volunteer with animals, because they deserve so much love and affection too!
Drawing/Art - I used to draw for fun but when I started college, I didn't have the time to devote to continuously increasing my art skills. I still own a sketch kit, coloring materials, and several sketchbooks so it really is a matter of having time.
Crochet - The thought of making things that I can gift to others seriously makes me so excited!! Crochet seems like such a fun, crafty, relaxing activity and the added fun of gifting those crafts to others would make it so fun!!
Scrapbooking - I don't know if I'd ever do this one, but I do Ike the idea of keeping my memories in a physical space, and not just in like pictures on my phone.
Learning - if school wasn't crazy busy, I'd spend all my time learning languages (ASL, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Italian, etc), computer coding skills, how to make and do certain things, just anything I can do to keep my mind enriched.
Upcycling/Altering Clothes - I would love to upcycle or alter articles of clothes into more personalized pieces for myself. The thought of having a personalized, hand made closet full of clothes makes me really want to buy a sewing machine and learn how to use it to my advantage!
That's all I can think of for now that I'd like to someday incorporate into my life. Having hobbies is always so fun, but I've been so busy and tired that I don't mess with any of the hobbies I'd want to do. If anyone has any tips for time management, or resources for beginning new hobbies, please let me know!!

Saturday was good but bad. Good because work went well, and I realized I'm understanding Korean hangul a bit better now. Bad because I spent more money then I should've and ended up binging on food I bought due to lots of anxiety. Good, but bad.

Day 1 - 20 Day Challenge
so I had to push the start date of the challenge to Wednesday the 29th. I was sick as of Monday and Tuesday, and even on Wednesday night, I got really ill, which I'm still not sure of what caused it, but it was not a good time. There's a couple things I didn't do, but I'd say I'm off to a good start!

did not wake up at my normal time, accidentally slept in til 8am but was asleep by 1030pm
only had 2 cups of coffee, both before noon. this was hard to do, because I'm so used to having coffee around 3pm, and having 4 cups in a day
drank ~50oz of water if I had to guesstimate. need to do better about that
I didn't get in as many steps as I wanted. it's too hot to go outside, I wasn't feeling well near the end of the day and and I also woke up at 8 am when my goal was 5am, so I ended up skipping the workout. I'm not sure if I would count those as valid reasons or excuses, but those are what happened. I told myself I was going to be honest with this challenge. But it was still a pretty good start!

today was a decent day up until the end, when I got upset and emotional over some things and ended up crying again. I swear, I've cried the last 6 out of 7 nights, and I'm so tired of it. here's to hoping things finally get better soon because this emotional stuff is seriously affecting my productivity, motivation, and discipline.

studied chapter 6 of Latin American Spanish on Busuu
listened to 3 podcast episodes in Spanish
completed and submitted my lab report and pre lab quiz, also did my pre lab notebook prep
went to my last chem lab for the semester
went to chem lecture
had a meeting with the Dietetic director to map out some classes for the upcoming semesters
washed dishes
attempted a phone call with my boyfriend for the first time in a week (relationship issues + long distance ร love รท dating for 2 years = an emotional rollercoaster, and lots of frustration)
washed laundry, did not put away yet
scheduled a therapy session for tomorrow morning
completed a 7 minute pilates abs workout from Madeliene Abeid
completed the 11 minute wake up yoga from Yoga with Adriene
started to do the 5 min daily stretch from Pamela Reif but my dad called me so I didn't finish it
downloaded a pdf of a Spanish textbook
rescheduled my italki lesson because I need to study for chem
scheduled 2 study rooms to study for chem with my chem lab partner
completed the pre class assignment for chemistry
walked ~8k steps

saw my dad this morning, who then took me to the campus library a bit early (I love getting to see my dad, I don't get to see him too often since he lives on the opposite side of town)
passed my lab report and pre class assignment
finished my chem lab super fast
had pizza rolls for dinner (I needed something quick and simple cause I've been tired)
got more practice with the chemistry lecture content
woke up esrly enough to do my morning routine
did a complete night routine, including skincare (-didn't read tho, couldn't decide on a book )
more good things happened, I just honestly can't remember them right now. but today was not a bad day.

Today was such a good day despite the little bit of anxiety I felt before I zoomed my boyfriend. I was productive today, more than I've been in a while, and I'm feeling good!

Life Update After a Few Days: October 18th, 2023 ๐
Iโve been a little busy with school, work, resting, and starting my workout routine back up, so hereโs a little update!
Iโm getting a tattoo soon! I know the aesthetic of my blog is pink and girly and coquette and I love everything that comes with the aesthetic and the lifestyle but I have an affinity for gothic style/spooky tattoos, so Iโm getting a decent sized spider tattoo on my right thigh and Iโm super excited! This is the first big ish sized tattoo besides the two small ones I have, and itโs the first tattoo appointment Iโve ever made so Iโm really excited. A little anxious, especially for the shading portion of it, but Iโm looking forward to how good itโs going to look when itโs finished and how much more confident itโs going to make me!
Iโve started working out at the gym again! My current schedule is three days of weightlifting (pull day, leg day, push day), and two days of just cardio. It feels so nice both mentally and physically to be taking care of myself like this again. I even bought some new workout shorts and gym clothes and Iโm feeling better than ever! Iโm focusing on improving my mental health right now and working out is doing wonders for me!
Iโm working so much right now, but itโs worth it because I need the money for rent, tattoos, gym stuff, groceries, and whatever other necessities and wants pop up. Iโm pulling doubles most Saturdays and itโs a little tiresome and energy draining but Iโm managing pretty well. I wonโt pull doubles every Saturday tho because that drives me straight into burnout and Iโm trying to avoid that.
I hit 31 days on Duolingo and Iโm at 28 days on Busuu, super proud of myself for keeping up with those two goals for now! Iโm still working through the first two lessons of Genki and Iโm still using the Kanji app but my studying has been a little bit more spread out because of my busy schedule. Iโm trying to learn how to better balance multiple things without hyperfixating on just one and forgetting about everything else. Iโve noticed I tend to do that and thatโs not the most productive thing for me.
I think I mentioned in a previous post that I spent a lot of money on stuff from Amazon (and Ulta) and most of it is here already besides the last couple Amazon items coming in today! I love the workout clothes I bought and the fitness/health tracker planner I bought is really interesting. I also got my language tracking bullet journal stuff in the mail so I am super looking forward to starting that up soon. Again, I noticed I tend to hyperfixate on one thing at a time but right now Iโm trying to balance all my interests and things I need to do. My current โbalance breakupโ is: fitness/nutrition, Japanese language study, school/classes and academic success, work/making money, self care (sleep, skincare, reading, journaling, etc), boyfriend time, appointments, and chores/cleaning/housework. Sounds like a lot but thereโs 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week. Not everything has to be done in one day and as long as I manage my time efficiently, then Iโll be successful. I also try to take into account my energy levels, daily tasks, possible โcurveballsโ, and my current physical and mental/emotional well being. Flexibility is a must in my life but I do like having routines and things to stick to, plan and schedule wise.
Iโve been working on some posts ideas for this blog so itโs not just daily updates and stuff, but actual tips, advice, and my current routines and schedules too, to maybe help motivate and inspire you guys! I have some things in mind currently, so hopefully I can find the time to type them up and post them!
Thank you guys for 850+ followers! I never thought my blog could grow like this and Iโm super happy it has! This community has given me such a safe and comforting place where I can just be myself without worry. I appreciate all of you so much!! I hope all of you have amazing days, amazing sleep, amazing skin, amazing grades, and that life is going great for all of you!

I have added and removed some daily goals and habits from my first posted list, so I thought Iโd post an updated list of my goals and habits!
Workout 20+ Minutes Daily

The two languages I am currently focusing on studying are Spanish and Japanese, the two languages I love the most. Once I get more comfortable with Japanese, I do plan on picking up Korean, as that is my third favorite. I used to self study Japanese for two years and even took a university Japanese class but had to stop and havenโt picked it up. Spanish is useful for where I live and I also think it is a beautiful language, and Iโve taken university classes for Spanish but due to my personal situations at the time, I wasnโt successful in those classes. I do currently have my Japanese textbook from my previous class as well as two Spanish textbooks from my previous classes.
Some hobbies I am trying to get back into is drawing and reading, and I am looking into starting some other hobbies such as crochet, cooking, scrapbooking/bullet journaling, painting, photography, learning sign language, and as I mentioned, language learning,
If anyone has any language learning (self study) tips or resources, tips and resources for any of the mentioned hobbies, or any general motivation or encouragement you want to share, please feel free! It would be greatly appreciated!
I know realistically I will not accomplish everything I listed every single day but the goal ultimately is to make an honest effort and keep my priorities in line with my daily actions. I am going to consistently work on myself and guide my daily routines towards progress and productivity while still giving myself the rest and recovery I need.

Day 21 - 90 Day Challenge ๐
Yesterday (Tuesday) was also a pretty decent day, despite some small neighborhood stray dogs trying to attack me. Animal control snever showed up, so unfortunately, I have to call them again because I have some trauma with stray dogs and can't handle almost being attacked like that.

Daily Check-in: October 5th, 2023 + Life Update ๐
I swear I always disappear for a few days, lurk around the tumblr app, and then decide to give a random update. I really need to work on my consistency lol.
Anywho, life has been soooo busy. I've ben packing and preparing for my trip out to see my boyfriend tomorrow, trying to catch up on homework so I'm not super busy while I am with him this weekend, working like crazy because money is a necessity, and just keeping up with the day to day grind.
So, here's a mini update from yesterday, and yes I am still going to try to update while I'm with my man as I will still be doing homework and studying Japanese and what not.

Worked on the draft for a research paper literature review thing I have to write for my psychology class (finishing it today!)

completed my pre lab and lab report for tomorrow's anatomy lab
completed quiz chapter 6 for my psychology class

I've been pretty busy with school work. I catch up on a weekly basis, but of course, then more homework is released, and I feel like I get thrown back to square one. College life, yay!

I've had 2 panic attacks, extreme exhaustion, and worked 3 doubles at my job since I last spoke to her. However, I am planning on working on some of her stuff this weekend while I'll have the time, so hopefully she isn't upset and can understand my position? She seems really nice so fingers crossed.
