Thanks for the tag! I usually don't respond to tags because I'm always busy, but I'm actually doing nothing for once!! (also, I chose pink hair because my actual hair has three colors in it right now and pink is one of them!)
A fact about me that is relevant to this week? Hmmmm.... I guess i have a couple? I've recently continued watching season 3 of Bungou Stray Dogs which is in my top 3 favorite anime, I've hit a 14 day streak on duolingo and a 7 day streak on Busuu (studying Japanese for the 3rd time in my life), and my two go to foods this week have been noodles (pasta, Ramen, macaroni) and boiled frozen chicken potstickers! (it's been a rough week to say the least 😅)
I have no idea who to tag so anyone who sees this is welcome to join in and add on to it!
staring a tag game!! use this picrew and post a fact about yourself that has been relevant in the past week.
i really like playing volleyball! and started playing on the club team again :) yes Haikyuu is a solid series. this is unrelated.

Daily Check-in: April 5, 2024 🎀
Friday was a decently good day! I managed to get some stuff done despite extremely fatigue (thank you womanhood), a 6.5 hour class, and crying my eyes out on zoom with my boyfriend (again, thank you womanhood). I hate having a functional female body, but I love being a woman? ughh, the confliction
🩷 What I Accomplished:
completed Chapter 9 of Spanish on Busuu
Created an excel spreadsheet to track scholarship applications that I am going to begin working on soon
watched a short YouTube interview in Spanish for some passive/active-ish learning
took a peak at the pdf Spanish textbook I'm going to begin using
read the first chapter of Essentialism (not sure if I'm going to keep reading that for now)
caught up on hand written psyc notes from the last two lectures
created a list of things for my excel spreadsheet for hosting rent options near my campus (I am moving out of my current place soon)
made my brain dump list for the week
planned out my upcoming week loosely
contacted a financial peer mentor from my university for help learning about budgeting and saving better
🩷 Good Things That Happened:
my position in my restaurant class barely changed, so I'm happy
met most of my prioritized goals
decorated one of my tracking journals with cute stickers
got confirmation that my friend is taking me to work on Saturday
had a really good day overall
got to zoom call my boyfriend twice
talked to my dad on the phone twice
my grade in one of my classes went up from a 79 to an 83
🩷 What Could've Been Better:
my friend and I accidently swapped chem lab notebooks on Thursday so I wasn't able to do my report with the extension
got told I was talking to loud during my restaurant class :(
found that I'm working with a girl I'm not too fond of (due to her controlling and "authoritative" tendencies) for my restaurant class
cried on zoom with my boyfriend because this time of year is hard for me
lots of back pain and low stomach cramping
drank a soda after having a coffee and had waayyy too much energy
didn't drink enough water or eat enough protein/vitamin-richs foods
🩷 Stuff To Do Tomorrow:
work shift 8am to 3pm
complete small Spanish study tasks
read a chapter of a book
update my brain dump list
create excel spreadsheet for renting options near the campus
look into savings template for my goals
find out how many hours I've worked to guesstimate my pay for this upcoming paycheck
complete assignment for chemistry
Saturday is going to be a good day! I am going to make sure I have a good day on Saturday because even if bad things happen, it doesn't mean my day itself was inherently bad. Gotta stay optimistic

🎀 Hobbies 🎀
I feel as tho I don't have much time to do things besides school, work, some chores, and survive right now, but I've been thinking about some hobbies I enjoy and would like to incorporate into my life when I decide to make the time without burning out!
Reading - I used to be big on reading just about any books I could get my hands on. Then I was really focused on reading self help, and now that I haven't been reading at all, I've been thinking about getting back into reading. Always looking for book recommendations, and I do have my eye on some books I'd like to purchase.
Gardening - if I had the time and space, I'd love to have a flower garden or a vegetable garden. It always makes me happy when the fruits of my efforts come to life, so tending to plants and gardening sounds super fun and relaxing.
Video Games - I used to play video games on and off, but I wouldn't mind owning a PS4 or a Switch and spending some time playing video games whenever I'd want time to wind down.
Cooking/Baking - I love learning things, and the sense of pride I've gotten in the past when receiving praise for things I've cooked or baked has really driven me to want to increase my skill. I've only baked something from scratch once in my life, but I'd really like to expand my skills in making desserts.
Exercise - I'm talking all forms of it! Dancing, martial arts/kickboxing type activities, yoga, pilates, running, swimming, spin/cycling, weight lifting (again), calisthenics, all of it! I don't currently look like the exercise type but I find various forms of movement to be so fun! If I had more time, I'd be trying new things all the time!
Volunteer work - This is something I used to do all the time, and it's a hobby that I enjoyed that kept me humble. Not only that, but I thoroughly enjoy showing kindness and compassion to others. Making a difference in anuwau brings me so much joy, and I love meeting new people and learning their stories. I also would love to volunteer with animals, because they deserve so much love and affection too!
Drawing/Art - I used to draw for fun but when I started college, I didn't have the time to devote to continuously increasing my art skills. I still own a sketch kit, coloring materials, and several sketchbooks so it really is a matter of having time.
Crochet - The thought of making things that I can gift to others seriously makes me so excited!! Crochet seems like such a fun, crafty, relaxing activity and the added fun of gifting those crafts to others would make it so fun!!
Scrapbooking - I don't know if I'd ever do this one, but I do Ike the idea of keeping my memories in a physical space, and not just in like pictures on my phone.
Learning - if school wasn't crazy busy, I'd spend all my time learning languages (ASL, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Italian, etc), computer coding skills, how to make and do certain things, just anything I can do to keep my mind enriched.
Upcycling/Altering Clothes - I would love to upcycle or alter articles of clothes into more personalized pieces for myself. The thought of having a personalized, hand made closet full of clothes makes me really want to buy a sewing machine and learn how to use it to my advantage!
That's all I can think of for now that I'd like to someday incorporate into my life. Having hobbies is always so fun, but I've been so busy and tired that I don't mess with any of the hobbies I'd want to do. If anyone has any tips for time management, or resources for beginning new hobbies, please let me know!!

Life Update: 5/26/25
Hello lovelies, long time no see, at least it feels like it's been a long time. I finished off my spring semester, not as strong as I had hoped honestly. I barely managed to pass the classes I was worried about, and I was honestly so so burnt out by the end of the semester. Like, I think I slept the most I ever have in the week following my last day of the semester.
So far this summer, I've only worked 2 days (as of tomorrow it'll be 2 days of work this summer) because I decided I wanted a break from school AND work which I am thankfully able to afford at the moment. It has been wonderful. I've spent my days reading, taking walks outside, working out, napping, and indulging in hobbies like painting, coloring, and I plan on picking up sewing, crochet, and drawing soon. It has been so restorative for me so far and I am so beyond grateful for this time I've had for myself.
Work has become a super toxic place for me, as I have some co workers that have made it their mission to talk trash about me and my life and the decisions I make. One of them is actually a former friend who can't seem to not talk about me. I've had at least 4 people confirm that she talks about me constantly and it's honestly draining to hear all the garbage and nonsense she talks. I just wish everyone would remember we are adults and we certainly have much more important things to do then just talk about other people. It also hurts, because we used to be such good friends, and I haven't spoken one word bad on her since the friendship ended, because I don't see it as productive or necessary. I just wish other people thought the same, that there's no need to speak ill on others.
I would find a new job if I could, but because I don't drive AND my current job pays well, I feel as though I am a bit stuck. But we will see what happens when the semester gets closer. Maybe I can take a pay cut and get a new job. Who knows?
I will post my todo list for today soon, as today is a full relaxation/restoration day for me. I started my period and had a really rough night last night, plus I work tomorrow (deep cleaning the restaurant I work at, so nothing too bad), so I figured having a full day of ease would be most beneficial.
I'm going to try to update as regularly as I can, as I do have some stuff that I need to accomplish this summer before the semester starts. It feels good to be back.

Daily Check-in: April 3rd, 2024 🎀
Today was a weird day. My anxiety was off the walls, and I think it's because that time of the month decided to occur, which is throwing me way off. Birth control has made that not happen for 2 years so, I was definitely caught off guard. (omg I hope that's not tmi, it's just something I gotta deal with again as a woman)
🩷 What I Accomplished Today:
Reviewed Spanish Busuu Chapters 6 and 7
Reviewed all flashcards once fully through
listened to one podcast episode in spanish
completed question set about renal nutrition from my dietitian mentor
met with an advisor regarding adding a 2nd major in finance
met with my advisor and got some good advice before adding the 2nd major
emailed the director of the Dietetic program at my college to schedule a meeting
wrote chemistry notes (need to finish and catch up with this week - I've missed both lectures)
completed a chemistry homework assignment
planned tasks for tomorrow
met with dietitian mentor
scrubbed my toilet clean
🩷 Good Things That Happened:
got an extension on my chem lab report
got confirmation of taking a make up quiz for my psyc class
took an hour nap
got excused from lecture and lab today (going to make it up tomorrow)
met most of my goal tasks
my meetings with the advisors went really well
got to talk to my dad per usual, and he was supportive of the 2nd major stuff
my boyfriend was supportive of my 2nd major stuff
met a super cute blue heeler puppy that was so cute and friendly, tho she did cut my thumb slightly but it's okay cause she's just a puppy
got 7k steps in today
🩷 What Could've Been Better:
could've managed my anxiety a bit better
could've been more productive instead of doing my "productive procrastination"
need to stop trying to do academic things while sitting in bed
need to stop trying to stay awake when I randomly wake up at 4am
need to drink more water, for sure
need to work on better nutrition
Today was a weird day. But that's okay. Weird days do happen. I know now what made it weird, and I'll adapt.

Daily Check-in: October 5th, 2023 + Life Update 🎀
I swear I always disappear for a few days, lurk around the tumblr app, and then decide to give a random update. I really need to work on my consistency lol.
Anywho, life has been soooo busy. I've ben packing and preparing for my trip out to see my boyfriend tomorrow, trying to catch up on homework so I'm not super busy while I am with him this weekend, working like crazy because money is a necessity, and just keeping up with the day to day grind.
So, here's a mini update from yesterday, and yes I am still going to try to update while I'm with my man as I will still be doing homework and studying Japanese and what not.

I feel like I haven't done as much for myself personally but at the same time like I have? I am a bit upset with myself. I have a meeting with my Dietetian Mentor (#1) and in the last 3 weeks since we last spoke, I haven't done anything from what she had asked because I've been so busy. I've had 2 panic attacks, extreme exhaustion, and worked 3 doubles at my job since I last spoke to her. However, I am planning on working on some of her stuff this weekend while I'll have the time, so hopefully she isn't upset and can understand my position? She seems really nice so fingers crossed.
