Daily Check-in - August 7th, 2023 š
So, it's been an emotional last two weeks. Mental illness is never a fun thing. I slipped off from taking my meds and as a result became inconsistent with my goals and daily routines. I felt powerless to myself. I stayed in bed as much as possible, cried constantly, and had no energy for even the simplest of tasks.
But, I'm feeling better, and I even accomplished some of my goals/daily habits today! I managed to begin taking my meds again, and am still in contact with my therapist. I'm bound to have rough days, rough weeks, and even rough months. I just remind myself that it's okay to feel these rough moments for what they are, but to not let it make me spiral or keep me held down. I believe in my ability to care for myself, and listen to my current needs when I am in a depressive state as I have been. There's nothing wrong with low energy days. There's nothing wrong with needing a break. There's nothing wrong with taking care of yourself. š©·
š©· What I Ate Today:
Breakfast - Was not feeling it today but needed to eat for my medication, so I had three hashbrown patties with some ketchup. And, of course, a cup of coffee.
Lunch - A delicious turkey and cheddar lunchable with one serving of lightly salted cashews. The lighter the lunch, the less tired I am when I get off my lunch break.
Dinner - I ordered some domino's pizza and cheesy bread because I was craving it, only ate 2 slices of both but it was sooo good and now I have leftovers!
Snacks - One cup of coffee after I got off work and a few bites of Ben and Jerry's Half Baked ice cream, which is currently my favorite ice cream.
Water ~ not enough, I made the mistake of forgetting a reusable water bottle when I went to work, so I didn't really start drinking water until like, 10am.
It's not my cleanest, healthiest, or best eating day, but I'm happy that I listened to what I wanted. Not every day will be like this, and that's okay. Moderation and balance are key <3

Again, I love this one to start of my ab day! arts easy enough for my little plus sized self to accomplish and makes me feel proud for even attempting thus video and completing a workout!
I also love this one by Madeleine as well, her workout videos honestly just click with me and I am here for it! This one wasn't completed fully as I have a bit of trouble completing plank exercises, but as I continue to build strength and better my form, I know I'll get to a point where they will become easier

Daily Check-in - August 12th, 2023 š
My updates have been a little spread out, but I am happy to announce that I will be (hopefully) posting updates more regularly with my university classes starting for the fall semester and now that I'm also back at my original job! It definitely gave me a reason to stick to my routine so I have a good feeling about all of this!
With the new semester starting comes new goals, which I will be making a separate post about! It's going to somewhat detail my personal, academic, and social goals for the fall semester. So stay tuned for that!
I also began intermittent fasting recently as I have read that it helps with PCOS (which I do have, along with hypothyroidism). My goal is to become healthier physically and mentally, and I believe that doing this will only improve my quality of life! I currently am doing 16:8, and I love it because it works with my schedule and eating habits I usually already have!
š©· What I Ate Today:
Brunch - One piece of brioche style white bread with two slices of cheddar cheese and a spoonful of scrambled eggs and a side of diced potatoes with ketchup.
Dinner - Taco Bell <3 A nacho bell grande and a crunchwrap Supreme with lots of Diablo sauce
Snacks - 2 cups of coffee with one sweet n low each and French vanilla creamer, and one mocha cold brew shake from the coffee shop on my university campus.
I decided to treat myself to Taco Bell tonight since I was craving it and had the money to do so. I actually ordered more than I ended up eating, so I gave the rest to my roommate.
š©· Workout - Upper Body Pilates-ish
I loved this so much the first time I did it that I wanted to include it again! ait gives such a nice burn and feel after completing it and I honestly wish it was longer, it's that good!
I wanted to try this one because I think fixing posture is helpful, and honestly, those 90 shoulders are really aesthetic. I don't think this is going to give me *drastic* results until I lose some weight and lean out a bit, but I think helping to fix my posture is such a good idea to help with back pain and avoiding text neck! I liked this one, but there were a couple of stretches that were a bit hard to complete, given my current weight. But I'll keep doing this til I get it!

Day 11 - 90 Day Challenge š
Yesterday (11-25) was kind of productive? I ended up working a 5 hour shift at my job instead of the 8 hour one I was supposed to which by no means upset me because I still made money either way. I tried to get some stuff done beforehand but I honestly just took the morning for rest. I also go back to work this morning as well so I'm really happy to get back to routine.

took a 30+ minute walk around campus before I had to go to work
walked 9778 steps total
ate a really good salad with tomato, cucumber, romaine, shredded carrots, and balsamic vinegrette. (who knew balasamic vinegrette was so yummy!)
drank half a liter of essentia electrolyte water
stopped eating breakfast when I was comfortably satisfied and didn't push past my limits
ate 2 servings of fruit + 1 serving of almonds + 1 serving of cashews (so yummy, cashews and almonds for the win)

Yesterday was a good day for sure. Today, my goals are to make it through my work shift, complete my reflection paper that's due tomorrow night, drink one liter of essentia electrolyte water, answer a journal prompt, and set myself up for tomorrow morning (I have a 730am class on Mon and Wed, so I gotta be up bright and early tomorrow!)
My Mondays are always so busy. Here's a little breakdown for those who are curious:
Wake up early, get ready, coffee, skincare, pack school bag, set out work stuff
Class at 730am to 845am
class from 9am to 1015am
quick snack at the dining hall at 1025am
review homework/tasks for the week

I love Mondays tho, the routine always sets me up for the week!

I disappeared for a few days, I'm sorry! life got busy, I was working non stop and really bad nothing to post about other then work and sleep it felt like. But Sunday was a semi productive day despite having woken up at 1am and not gone to sleep until 10pm that following night. But, we have finals go study for so we persevere.

Life Update After a Few Days: October 18th, 2023 š
Iāve been a little busy with school, work, resting, and starting my workout routine back up, so hereās a little update!
Iām getting a tattoo soon! I know the aesthetic of my blog is pink and girly and coquette and I love everything that comes with the aesthetic and the lifestyle but I have an affinity for gothic style/spooky tattoos, so Iām getting a decent sized spider tattoo on my right thigh and Iām super excited! This is the first big ish sized tattoo besides the two small ones I have, and itās the first tattoo appointment Iāve ever made so Iām really excited. A little anxious, especially for the shading portion of it, but Iām looking forward to how good itās going to look when itās finished and how much more confident itās going to make me!
Iāve started working out at the gym again! My current schedule is three days of weightlifting (pull day, leg day, push day), and two days of just cardio. It feels so nice both mentally and physically to be taking care of myself like this again. I even bought some new workout shorts and gym clothes and Iām feeling better than ever! Iām focusing on improving my mental health right now and working out is doing wonders for me!
Iām working so much right now, but itās worth it because I need the money for rent, tattoos, gym stuff, groceries, and whatever other necessities and wants pop up. Iām pulling doubles most Saturdays and itās a little tiresome and energy draining but Iām managing pretty well. I wonāt pull doubles every Saturday tho because that drives me straight into burnout and Iām trying to avoid that.
I hit 31 days on Duolingo and Iām at 28 days on Busuu, super proud of myself for keeping up with those two goals for now! Iām still working through the first two lessons of Genki and Iām still using the Kanji app but my studying has been a little bit more spread out because of my busy schedule. Iām trying to learn how to better balance multiple things without hyperfixating on just one and forgetting about everything else. Iāve noticed I tend to do that and thatās not the most productive thing for me.
I think I mentioned in a previous post that I spent a lot of money on stuff from Amazon (and Ulta) and most of it is here already besides the last couple Amazon items coming in today! I love the workout clothes I bought and the fitness/health tracker planner I bought is really interesting. I also got my language tracking bullet journal stuff in the mail so I am super looking forward to starting that up soon. Again, I noticed I tend to hyperfixate on one thing at a time but right now Iām trying to balance all my interests and things I need to do. My current ābalance breakupā is: fitness/nutrition, Japanese language study, school/classes and academic success, work/making money, self care (sleep, skincare, reading, journaling, etc), boyfriend time, appointments, and chores/cleaning/housework. Sounds like a lot but thereās 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week. Not everything has to be done in one day and as long as I manage my time efficiently, then Iāll be successful. I also try to take into account my energy levels, daily tasks, possible ācurveballsā, and my current physical and mental/emotional well being. Flexibility is a must in my life but I do like having routines and things to stick to, plan and schedule wise.
Iāve been working on some posts ideas for this blog so itās not just daily updates and stuff, but actual tips, advice, and my current routines and schedules too, to maybe help motivate and inspire you guys! I have some things in mind currently, so hopefully I can find the time to type them up and post them!
Thank you guys for 850+ followers! I never thought my blog could grow like this and Iām super happy it has! This community has given me such a safe and comforting place where I can just be myself without worry. I appreciate all of you so much!! I hope all of you have amazing days, amazing sleep, amazing skin, amazing grades, and that life is going great for all of you!

When it comes to affirmations, I like to search through tumblr for affirmations that match my feelings or desires, and I will write them on post-it notes and keel them within sight. I change them up depending on mood and current desires, but they always help me with my mindset!

Tuesday was an odd day for me. Everything went fine, work went well, but for some reason by the end of the day, I was super upset about things, which was not what I had hoped to feel by the end of the day. But the day itself wasn't bad.
