Working on something and it ended up with me searching up this thing for research and ended up finding the file and refining it a little
Hope it's possible to see which one is supposted to be the rifined one
I did not concent for Google to throw AI in my face everytime I search something and for the first time in my life considering using Bing
If Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker uses it, it must be good
Forever since I did something original!
Got the idea from starting this new job and kinda felt uncertain about it. And I didn’t know if I wanted to continue here or fall to unemployment and back to job-hunting. It’s not really something I have much experience in and was kinda thrown or forced into it by higher forces. And damn, I might not be in control of my life and have no clue if I will get real employment or even want it but damn will I give it my all.
And that’s time and life for you, I guess. Always going, always changing. Out there driven by mysterious forces beyond our control, no clue where it’s going. Nothing we can do but to just take that next step and hope it goes the right direction.
Love I was getting to know some of my new coworkers yesterday and we talked about Photoshop and he asked if I had a portfolio and I just
... NO ...
Mostly because I do fan art and it's hard to show off fan art with pride without feeling like a five year old but damn, feels like something is missing
To make sure it doesn't get to much of the same things, name the next thing I should draw from. You could just name the francise and I can pull one of my hundred ideas from my notes. You could name a specific character I maybe haven't done in a while. You could dare to say something new and hope I know what it is!
Started a file with a young Peter Parker reading Captain America-comics and like a timeline of him transforming to Spider-Man and teaming up with Cap but maybe it took to long to finish so lost either interest or confidence in it so will let the file collect dust and maybe return another date.
But still finished Spidey and Cap so here they are!
Spider-Man WIP
Hi!
Feels like ages since I did a superhero. I don’t really read many comics these days, not that many that managed to keep my interest. So I haven't gotten that many new ideas either. Kinda feels like I’m losing touch with a big part of my childhood, wondering a little what will take its place.
But I have started on a Spider-Man/Captain America Team-Up and felt I wanted to share my step-by-step drawing ol’ Webhead!
First of all, open up your friendly neighbourhood JustSketchMe. Really helpful when you can’t really see the full canvas when you draw. And start with lineart. Spidey’s suit is tight and thin to allow him to use his powers and to hide under his clothes. So, abs, ribcage, toes should even be slightly visible while adding wringage or stretching in groin, elbows and knees. If I make a younger Ditko-era Spidey, the mask would have more wrinkles and the ears more prominent but for an adult Spidey, the head is smoother and the neck tighter.
Spider-Man’s eyes are one-way-glass and in my render, not that flexible so I imagine them being this round shape and the mask form around that and are held by two shiny plastic frames, them being separate from the thin fabric as well.
Most times I have to adjust the ratio of red/blue in the torso to make space for the webbing but managed to pull it off this time without any major readjustments. Webs are drawn on an individual layer.
As the lineart is done, the next step is the coloring. I actually make Spidey’s eyes quite dark here as a dark base will make it easier for me to make it shine afterwards as I try to catch a glass-effect. I always make sure to keep an extra layer for each color in a hidden folder so I can mark the specific colors when needed.
Next step is my highlighter. Simply strengthen the lineart and first step to add a little depth in it. Where I chose to highlight and not has changed over the years, like the space between the head and the further arm lacks highlight as it’s further away, same with the closer arm and the torso as well as left leg/thigh. Areas where one piece of clothing goes to another gets a subtle highlight like shirt, gloves and boots.
Next step is a 3-parter where I depthen the figure more. First layer’s functions the same as the last step but in a larger area and wider brush. Second layer goes more along the edges of the line art and makes the body rounder. Last is just focusing on areas with more depth like collarbone, ribs, some wrinkles, maybe if I missed a spot on the wrist.
So now is the basic “pillar” of the character done, the steps I undergo for all my figures, so now are the personal details like eye colors or hair coloring. This is where the spare layers are mostly welcomed. I give my Spider-Man a halftone effect on the red areas, making the suit look more breathable and giving the thing a comic-effect while the blue parts get darkened. I then eliminate the already shadowed areas, kinda reversing the work so wrinkles get lighter and smoother parts get darker. Inspired by how the suit can be portrayed black with blue detailing in classic comics as well as the fabric in Tom Holland’s second homemade suit.
Speaking of films, I also brighten some spots. I add a light grey spot on the eyes and I brighten the webs, inspired by Tobey Maguire’s suit but more subtle.
Last steps are brightening the black areas like the frames and logo. A lesser layer along the edges to showcase the shape and bulge of things and a brighter one that can be splashed across, reflecting light. I add more black and white on the eyes for that glass-effect.
AND… That’s basically it! Things might change and get added when I put in a real light source but for a basic 3-Dimensional Spider-Man in a pure white world, the process is done!
Not super satisfied. Might be in a creative low. Been a lot to adjust to my new job. Might find my voice not too far off in the future again.
But I shared a vote and like everyone got a vote each so guess I just made them in the order I saw the comments.
Idk, in my head, I think I pictured this a little bit more colorful but when it came to coloring and shading, I didn’t really know where I was going with it and just tried to save myself. Just forgot for a minute how I used to add light so that was a journey.
But yeah… something about being somebody’s light in the dark. Go and try that. And I will try not to drop the apples all over the floor today.
I work in a grocery store now. Yay.
Ben Kenobi vs Darth Vader - Clean Versions
May the Revenge of the 5th be with you
May the 4th be with you!
A little stressed as I have like a hundred ideas and zero free time and felt everything I've done recently has been for the idea of a deadline alone (Superman-Day, May the 4th e.t.c)
Want to help me pick the next thing?
"Dreams save us. Dreams lift us up and transform us. And on my soul, I swear... until my dream of a world where dignity, honor and justice becomes the reality we all share, I'll never stop fighting. Ever."
Just a preview of how far I've come on a wallpaper I'm working on. The idea is to have his supporting cast around him, looking up in the sky but for right now, it's just Supes and the ghosts of his past
and some other Superman-stuff I've made cause I just love the guy. He's nice.
Happy Superman Day
You know what I found satisfying?
These random character-focused... card thingies... poster stuffies...
They're not creativly satisfying, they don't apply to the "a picture speaks a 1000 words"-thing. They are far from deep. But I just like to look at them. And I like to just shut off my brain and draw them.
And I think they're cool. They allow me to try something new. I found a vibe for my Star Wars-stuff ever since. I found a color I try to use for Life is Strange ever since. I managed to actually draw faces in Miraculous I'm satisfied with.
If I ever would fullfill my dream and sell stuff at like... Scifiworld or something, I would have a pile of these
Sorry for inactivity, needed to shitpost not to get forgotten by my 3 followers
I don't remember if I have asked this before but what would you like to see for this year's May the 4th?
Late 4/4-celebration
Just wanted to share the WiP on my latest project, a little collage celebrating The Fantastic Four
Hope it doesn't look as awkward once the rest of the work is finished
But the FF has a special place in my heart, I have loved them as long as I have loved comics and so excitied for them to return to the cinemas
The official sequel to that one post. It got very popular and I thought I would share the "answer" I found to my original "question".
The original comic is about growing up aneurotypical (specifically I have autism and ADHD among other things, e.g. being LGBT) in a world not made for that, and my profound feelings of alienation as a result.
Whether you share those specific problems or not, I am sincerely happy if it resonated with you and humbled that it meant something to so many people.
A popular addition to the post was "you will find your people". I think it is absolutely true that you can and will find people willing to support you and love you for who you are - I have, and their support made much of my growth possible (as well as therapy). I am grateful to the artist that made that addition and think it is important.
But I wanted to make this because to me, it was important to learn the message that you are allowed to exist as yourself, even if you were to never find a single other person who accepts you. You do not need the validation of others. Even if you feel like you were somehow made wrong, or will never fit in with anyone else, you have the right to exist.
Live authentically for yourself, and not for others. Pursue your passions.
It is intentional that the person in the comic never fully regains their color. I will never be the untraumatized child I once was. But that doesn't mean life is not worth living.
I love you, and I hope you try to live as you are.
Got something planned for Superman Day!
Hope it will get done in time...
I don't know if I love or hate how much I can relate to this
I love talking with neurotypical people about my executive dysfunction because I'm like "yeah there's this invisible wall in my head that I'm incapable of getting past no matter what I do and it stops me from doing things" and they're like what the actual fuck
Meanwhile other neurodivergents are like
Kind of had a moment when I didn't know what to do so I asked my sister. And being the one that introduced me to Miraculous, she wanted me to do something Miraculous so I finally finished the last two of this old series.
Aaand… I enjoyed it and want to do more of the team some day.

How are some artists so fast with uploads??
Don't they have any boring normal daytime jobs??
Originally had another Newt-related post for today… or maybe Wednesday? Well, this was planned for Wednesday but moved to today cause apparently, it is Newt’s birthday. Or was. Dependent on when you see this. Moved things around a lot trying to make my schedule work. But it was Newt and Tina but needed a pause on the couples-thing so here’s Newt with his other true love… Beasts!
Happy Birthday mr. Scamander!
Kind of feel done with couples for now and Valentine, which is natural maybe as it has passed. But before going back to whatever stuff I want to do at the moment, here’s a heart someone drew outside my apartment building. I thought it was cool with all the steps avoiding it, even animals like dogs and birds had totally just gone around it.
