reblog if you’ve read fanfictions that are more professional, better written than some actual novels. I’m trying to see something
{ Couples in order of appearance: Hualian from "Tian Guan Ci Fu," Wangxian from "Mo Dao Zu Shi," Bingyuan from "The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System," Yanshen from "Qian Qiu," Fengcui from "Wushuang," Ranwan from "Erha," Ximang from "Yuwu," Changgu from "Sha Po Lang," Cezhou from "Qiang Jin Jiu," and Moshang from "The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System," Fengqing from "Tian Guan Ci Fu,” Wenzhou from “Tian Ya Ke,” }
lol since this has to be said again; constructive criticism is good only when it’s explicitly asked for by the creators.
if they didn’t ask for one then no, you’re not giving your favorite AO3 writer “constructive criticism” to help them improve their writing, by listing the things you want fixed in their work in the comment. you’re giving them the orders of what you want and what you think they should write for you for free. you’re being self-centered and rude and, instead of “motivating” them to write more, you’re discouraging them and are making them consider stopping writing or sharing their works altogether.
unless the author specifically asked you for constructive criticism, keep that to yourself and either tell them nice things or don’t say anything at all.
a reminder that fanfic writers write as their hobby, for free. they’re not writing in order to sell their works. they’re writing because they’re passionate about the characters and the stories, and most importantly, they’re writing for themselves. they’re only allowing you — the reader — to read their work as a gift because they were hoping they could make your day a little better. but they’re writing for themselves. they’re not writing to please you or anybody.
if you don’t like the gift or if you don’t have anything positive to say about the gift you were given, there’s literally zero reason for you to make sure the person, who’s kind enough to give you a gift, knows how you dislike their gift or how you think the gift could be “better”. that is just unnecessary and extremely rude.
The thing about khr is that they don’t make more fics about the adults. Like you know, the arcos?? I would die just to read a good fic about Fon/Reborn with one-sided Skull. The potential of an obsessive jealous Skull but Fon and Reborn just can’t keep their hands off each other??
Or like a Verde/Reborn although idk how that works??
The fact that Yoohyun and Yoojin are equally (but differently relative to each other) crazy. And wild. And weird. And scary. Both of them. If Yoohyun destroyed the world, Yoojin would find an excuse. If Yoojin destroyed the world, Yoohyun would think the world wasn't worthy of his brother
Their swords will keep on blooming as long as they are together 🌸
This is a repost. Please help me find the artist.
My full piece for @jdlogbook !! What if I took you on a house tour and there was a big prophetic mural of you killing me in the foyer 🤍
Extra sales are still happening!
I feel like I need more iron dad and spider son fics
This is why writers abandon stories. It’s not that we don’t love them, it’s because we don’t want to love them alone.
I feel called out hehe
personally, I think people are allowed to ship a “toxic ship” as long as it’s fictional and they can separate fiction from reality. shipping a fictional “problematic ship” doesn’t mean you’re “abuse apologist” in real life. the same way people who enjoy fictional villains are not “murderers” in real life.
it’s okay if you think this ship makes you uncomfortable and so you personally dislike it. what you can and should do is avoid their contents and refrain from interacting with people who do ship them. that mute and block buttons are your friends.
what you shouldn’t do, though, is harass people who ship them and brag about how they’re “red flags irl” and how you’re “morally superior” simply because of fictional characters.
I promise you, minding your own business and not caring about what ship strangers on the internet ship will make your fandom so much less toxic and a whole lot more enjoyable.
