Well, you have less time actually because you die when you hit the ground (or shortly thereafter), and parachutes take time to work (like they need to catch against the air), so you have a lot less time to fix it, otherwise you’ll still die.

If your parachute malfunctions while sky diving, you have the rest of your life to fix it.

The Arsonist Who Set Fire To The Autozone (video Below) In Minneapolis Has Been Identified As Officer

The arsonist who set fire to the Autozone (video below) in Minneapolis has been identified as officer JACOB PEDERSON, a COP and NOT a protestor attending the Justice for George Floyd protests, by his ex wife. Pigs are framing arson on protestors demanding justice for the murder of an innocent Black man by killer cops.

Jewish Resources Drive

I wanted to make a proper post so people were able to get more info.

What is it?

It is a drive, hosted by yours truly, of Jewish books, articles, and more on several topics.

Who can use it?

Anyone! I don’t care your reasons for it’s use, because I just wanted to make education accessible.

What’s in it?

So glad you asked.

Categories, as follows:

Conversion, Feminism and Judaism, Fiction, Historical, Intro to Judaism, Jewish Radical Movements, Jewish Thought, Jews of Color, Kabbalah, LGBTQ and Judaism, Philosophy, Religious Texts

There is also three documents inside:

1. Jewish Journaling Prompts

2. Jewish Online Resources List

3. Recommended Reading List for Conversion

DISCLAIMER: Just because the content is there, doesn’t mean I 100% agree with all of it. I vet for expressedly antisemitic/horrible stuff, but some things are there to show the history of something, even if it includes Jews doing bad things (an example of an article about the Jewish radical right), not because I support it but because we have to carry all things, good and bad. Also, the word queer is used quite a bit in academic texts under LGBTQ and Judaism. Not really able to get around it.

Read to your hearts content! If you have any resources you want me to add (either requests on ones you have), DM me!

Project Gutenberg
Project Gutenberg is a library of free eBooks.

On both internet archive and project gutenburg it helps to know what book or magizine you are looking for but you can still do a regular vague key word search and find something.

Even your local library and ravelry might have antique pattern books on file! On ravelry you will have to exclude all purchasable patterns instead of just looking for free for some reason, then get past the first page or two of patterns people thought "looked antique" but once you get to the black and white photos you are golden!

So please don't buy an etsy shop's antique pattern when there is really no reason to, and if you are one of those selling these patterns, know I am judging you big time!

Kinda a shanty, but "The Chemical Worker's Song (Process Man)" "Feed the Machine" also comes to mind, but any Poor Man's Poison could work

Do you have any recommendations for work songs/folk songs regarding mining? Or just work songs in general? My housemate is writing a fantasy novel set partly in an industrial town and a mine and I'm putting together a playlist of related music. I have "I Can Hew" by Mawkin and "Tell God and the Devil" by Solas, and not-a-work-song-but-still-fun steampunk (emphasis on punk) "Miner" by The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing, but 3 songs does not a playlist make!

YES!

Mining specifically: 16 Tons, Dark As A Dungeon, Loading Coal, Coal Miner's Blues, The Blackleg Miner, The Testimony of Patience Kershaw, The Coal-owner and the Pitman's wife, The Collier's Rant

Work songs (using what I think is the definition you're using): Worker's Song, Poverty Knock, Murphy and the Bricks (humerous), The ICI Song, The Hand-Loom Weaver's Lament

Actual Sea Shanties (ie. work songs on boats as opposed to just songs about sailing, separate in case you don't want these): Old Maui, South Australia, High Barbary, Randy Dandy Oh, Haul Away Joe
