Omgosh tiny phoenix!
I've always made use of dragon iconography, using them to represent resilience and determination. A phoenix rises from the ashes, but a dragon doesn't burn in the first place.
But I can't always be a dragon. Sometimes I do burn. And then I have to get back up again. Right now I need to get back up, so I decided to work on a phoenix pattern. I reckon a lot of y'all need to get back up too, so remember that even a tiny phoenix rises.
Hi, it's me. I've been busy. Socials took a back seat for a bit. Here's what new in the Nerdvana shop! Reblogs welcome!
Wow, do you ever go onto tumblr every day but completely forget to post about the new things you're crocheting at any point? Because I do. I've been working on a bunch of stuff since the last time I was active on this tumblr! Sometimes I remember to post about it on Instagram and sometimes I don't, but tumblr is way cooler than Instagram anyway - so I'm going to try to remember to post here as well!
This is a cute lil chicken pattern that's available free over at 53stitches.com! I signed up for a lot of conventions this year, the next one is Gold Coast Supanova on April 12th & 13th - these little birbs have been so popular, and I'm glad because they are heckin' fun to make.
I made 12 designs in all (+ an extra highly requested Cockatiel I still need to write up) and I'm trying to add all of my old patterns to the website for free over the next few months, so keep an eye out! Plus making youtube content! So much going on, and yet I don't want to blab about it on social media as per usual đ
@thejaycorn @thestarfishface Tell me that first one isn't a rough draft of Sparks!

Reblog to let your followers know that theyâre safe from jumpscares/screamers/etc from you on April 1st but they are NOT safe from getting boopâd like an idiot amen
if your class solidarity doesnât include people who are on SSI, food stamps, or are unable to work itâs not solidarity
Got my mail club today from @thestarfishface. Had to rearrange a bit, but enjoy the children!
Youâre tired. Burnt out. Exhausted. Stressed.
This lowers your capacity for emotional regulation.
Youâll cry more easily. Get dragged into low moods more easily. Simple little things where youâre like âdang, that shouldnât hit so hard,â will wallop you.
This will trick you into thinking youâre weak and canât handle life. A loser.
Not so my friend.
Itâs a signal that you need a nap, need to allow for more sleep at night, need to prioritize and scale back on what you can accomplish in a day, need to take a mental health day or even a leave.
Somethingâs got to give.
But!
Itâs not your self worth.
Thanks to some generous donations, I've had to update my latest Ko-Fi goal for con funding, and as a bonus, show off what I've been working on now that my spell slots are coming back. https://ko-fi.com/post/End-of-May-Update-J3J7YS0WF
SORRY FOR THE VERY PERSONAL COMIC!!
This is my half of âUnhealthyâ, an essay comic double header with the lovely and talented Sarah Winifred Searle. She and I both wrote about our personal experiences as overweight ladies with eating disorders, and her story is breathtaking! You can buy a physical copy of the book here: https://topatoco.com/collections/abby-howard/products/ah-unhealthy

Hello and welcome to Nerdvana Crafts! Where you can find handmade gifts for the nerds in your life! My name is Sly and I am a neurodivergent fiber artist who crochets amigurumi from a variety of fandoms. Each item is made to order, and may take 2-4 weeks to make and ship. Each item is also made in the presence of a cat so if you have allergies, please message me and I will do everything in my power to prevent kitty contamination. All of my creations are intended as fan art, and because I use a variety of patterns, their sizes will vary as well!
