i recently had to turn in a bunch of documents to redetermine my medicaid coverage and i told them i'm no longer doing freelance art and have devoted myself entirely to gig delivery work because my spirit has been broken, so it would be sooo funny if i got a bunch of art commissions all at once and had to turn in new paperwork. it would be such a great goof. ohh you could get me so good. i would laugh and slap my knee and yell "oh man you got me so good"

Actually, I’m tired of hearing fiber arts be referred to as “grandma crafts”. I’m going to be honest, I think the association of “this is a thing only boring old people do” is bullshit. One; because older people are rarely genuinely boring. And two; I think it puts people off of learning these things.

Less of a shop update and more of a quality of life update. Had this custom etched tip jar made to have at shows with me so even if folks might not be able to afford something in the moment, they can still offer a buck or two in appreciation of my work 💜

I've been working on these Sailor Scouts throughout the year (some longer) and now seems like an appropriate time to preview them. None of them are done yet, but they always remind me to find the light in the dark. We are not alone.
