You opened your eyes slowly, taking in the sunlight that streamed through your window. You turned to see your partner, Xiao, still sleeping. He looked so peaceful like that, you thought to yourself. You smiled to yourself, then noticed the snow falling from outside your apartment window.

“Xiao, wake up! It’s snowing outside! Look!” You excitedly (but gently) shook your lover awake.

Xiao groaned. “What is it, love?”

“It’s snowing!” You exclaimed, a grin adorning your face.

Xiao smiled softly at your excitement. “Alright, we’ll go outside after we eat breakfast.” He ruffled your hair.

The two of you got up and had a simple yet fulfilling breakfast, then the two of you got ready to go outside.

Snowflakes danced in the air, hitting the ground softly. You watched in amazement as they fell. Xiao kept his eyes locked on you. You looked so perfect standing there in the winter snow. He was so lucky to have someone as amazing as you in his life.

Soon his thoughts were interrupted by a thud against his back. He turned and saw you, holding a snowball that was aimed for him. You hid the snowball behind your back, smiling innocently.

The green-haired male smirked and picked up a snowball. He threw it, which hit you in the face.

You groaned. “How compact did you make that snowball? Because it hurt. Like, a lot.”

Xiao rushed over to you worriedly. “(Y/n), are you okay?”

You giggled. “Yeah, I’m fine! Don’t be so scared! Besides, it’s snow, so I’ll live. Just don’t kill me.” You joked.

“I- Just make sure to dodge next time, got it?”

“No promises!” You beamed.

Xiao kissed you on the forehead, a faint smile adorning his features. You then gave him a peck on the cheek, your smile still there.

“Do you wanna go get hot chocolate?” You asked. “Because I want hot chocolate.”

Xiao snickered. “You always want hot chocolate.”

“Of course I do! It’s the perfect winter drink! Plus, coffee is nasty. Well, it’s super bitter, even when you add a lot of creamer and sugar to it.”

“I don’t see what you’re talking about. Coffee is great.”

“But I’m better than coffee.” You joked.

Xiao blushed. “Of course you are.”

On the way to the cafe down the street, the two of you talked about random things. Soon, you had gotten there. Xiao opened the door for you.

“Thank you, my dear.” You walked into the cafe, Xiao not far behind you.

“Welcome! What can I get started for you today?”

“One hot chocolate with vanilla and caramel with whipped cream on top please!” You told the barista. “Xiao, what do you want?”

“Um… Just one coffee. Black roast, please.”

“Of course! Anything else?”

“Can I get a bagel and a chocolate cake pop?”

“I thought that you didn’t like ca-”

“It’s for you silly! I know you said you like them, so I thought I’d get you one!”

A light blush dusted Xiao’s cheeks. “Thanks.” He mumbled.

After you paid and got your items, the two of you wandered around town, admiring the scenery.

“It looks pretty outside today,” You remarked.

“It does,” Xiao replied. “But not as beautiful as you.” He grabbed your hand and led you to the center of town, past all the stores and houses.

You wondered where you were going, until you stopped by the large tree they put up in the center of town every December.

“Xiao, why are we here? I thought you didn’t like coming here.”

“(Y/n), we… We’ve been together since middle school, and I’m so glad you’ve been a part of my life since then. I love you, and I always will. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. When I see the future, I see you and me, together. So, will you, (Y/n) (L/n),” Xiao got down on one knee and pulled out a box. He opened the box, an engagement ring inside. “Will you marry me?”

Your eyes widened, tearing up. “Xiao, I… Yes! Of course I’ll marry you!”

Xiao grinned and got up, He put the ring on your finger and gave you a deep, loving kiss. People around you cheered for the two of you. You took off the ring and your glove, then put the ring on, then put your glove on. You then wrapped your arms around him and kissed him.

“I can’t wait to marry you.” You told him.

“I can’t wait either,” Xiao replied, smiling. “Now, let’s head home.”

The two of you walked home, hand in hand. It was now getting dark, and the two of you were getting tired. You walked into the house and stripped of your winter clothes.

“Xiao, do you wanna get a bath?” You asked. “I’m sure it’ll warm the two of us up.”

“Sure,” Xiao responded.

“Okay, I’ll be back!” You left the room.

Xiao plopped himself onto the couch and sighed. He was finally engaged to you. It was one of the happiest days of his life, and one he definitely wouldn’t forget. All he could imagine was you walking down the aisle, looking amazing. His thoughts were soon interrupted by the sound of your footsteps.

“Okay, the water is running! Did you wanna wear any specific clothing, or…?”

The amber-eyed male looked at you. “Anything is fine.” He responded.

“Okay then! If you wanna go to the bathroom, I have the heater on too!”

Xiao nodded.

“Okay, now I’m gonna go get us clothes. Love you!”

“Love you too.”

You walked off and got you and your fiance clothes. You grabbed him a t-shirt and PJ pants, and you took his System of A Down shirt. You went to the bathroom and knocked on the door.

“You can come in.”

You went into the bathroom. “I have returned!”

Xiao was already sitting in the bathtub, waiting for you. He gestured for you to come to join him.

You took off your clothes and got in the tub with him, sighing. He wrapped his arms around you.

After a while, the two of you got out and changed for bed. The two of you had cuddled against each other, keeping each other warm.

“I love you, Xiao.”

“I love you too, (Y/n).”
