its really cool that we discovered glass which is the material that doesnt have any chemical reactions with anything in the universe very useful for doing chemistry due to being able to put things in it to contain chemical reactions and never having it react with the things that are in it due to it being completely and entirely unreactive to every chemical

DnD campaign where the players get rabies and over time get debuffs and buffs like +STR and -INT and the entire thing is timed until they die or cure the magic rabies

Today I want to lift up an artist who means not only a lot to me, but likely a lot to many people invested in the paleo scene and the extinct arthropod/anomalocaridid wiki pages, too!

Jun (twitter), also known as Junnn11 on wikipedia. He is a Japanese artist who's work you might've seen if you've visited the anomalocaris/radiodonta wikis

His unique style breathes so much life into these extinct animals with the way they're coloured and posed while also paying close attention to animal's body plan and making sure they appear scientifically accurate! I have a lot of adoration and admiration for these illustrations. But He doesn't limit himself with JUST radiodonts. He's also illustrated a lot of other different animals (here)

I would not have known about these creatures if he hadn't drawn them! But this is not the only work he does. He also makes more detailed diagrams of these animals and their anatomy. He has even made some animations to further bring these creatures alive! (here)

All of this is to say that we owe a lot to this guy's creative mind and abilities and I think his contributions to science deserve to be seen and appreciated by the casual lovers of these creatures too! i had a dream i worked in an underwater restaurant and people kept ordering ice in their drinks and then getting mad at me when it would float away. and i’d tell them beforehand that the ice would float away & they’d be like lol no that’s not how it works just give me the ice. I’m fighting customer service battles never seen before

"dont smoke around your pets" okay well i dont even smoke im asthmatic. my dog smokes bc she needs to fucking chill sometimes and Yeah i light them for her Obviously bc she cant use a lighter. i dont get anyrhing out of this arrangment and i resent the implication. in fact shes giving ME secondhand smoke. so my question is why are you so hateful and jugemental and acting like an asshole to me making presumptions and shit about my life.
