sometimes i think my friends dont like me but then i remeber
(A little reminder of why it's important to tie your shoelaces)
put yourself first - live for yourself and up to your own standards and stop pushing aside your needs for other people.
set healthy boundaries for yourself and others
always find new skills and hobbies to learn and pick up
have a routine that works for you
never settle for less. if it's not what you want, keep looking forward.
be bold - not letting fear stop you from being great
improve your self talk. compliment yourself more. tell yourself things will be okay.
enjoy the silence more
more self reflection!
learn how to enjoy your own company
socialize more
take yourself out on solo dates
walk with your head high, shoulders back
listening to your intuition when you first brush it off. you can find out the reason later.
start being active. move your body. go on walks, go to the gym, sign up for yoga, dance classes, pilates, etc.
continue talking when someone cuts you off.
put people in their place. if your boundaries have been crossed or you see something that isn't right, don't be afraid to speak your mind whenever you see necessary.
read more books. set a goal for each month.
seek for all sides of the story. never come to a set conclusion at first glance or none at all.
take your own advice.
be assertive. don’t allow yourself to be pushed around. do what's good for you no matter what anyone says, be clear about what you want in life and go for it.
ask questions. don't be afraid to. this applies to everything.
explore different styles that pique your interest. clothes, majors, hobbies, jobs, literally everything.
journaling your thoughts and ideas.
seek validation from others
living for others when you should be living for yourself.
passively consume content on social media
having FOMO. who cares if you missed out on the latest celebrity gossip, what person cheated on who, the food pictures people are posting on their stories. does it benefit you for a lifetime? no? okay then.
saying "i'm going to do this" and not do it.
isolating yourself for a long period of time
spending more time on your phone than you are living your life. there's life outside a glowing screen. stop wasting what you have and make the best of it even if it seems "impossible". you can always make something out of nothing.
comparing yourself to others
idolizing everyone. celebrities, public figures, influencers....
letting people's limiting beliefs have a hold over you
choosing to keep the victim mentality.
putting your responsibilities and happiness aside to laze around or for other people.
sticking with your circle when you've outgrown them. i don't care how long you've known them for and how good the bond was. if they're not good for you anymore, leave.
letting people step all over you - say no and don't give in to pleases.
pushing your trauma/problems aside. your problems are no less than others. you are important too. tend to yourself.
guilt trip yourself for resting when you want/need to.
abandon your needs.
insulting yourself for failures and mistakes. it's normal, you're okay.
believing everything you see and hear whether it be online or in real life.
don't take criticism from people you wouldn't take advice from. or anyone for that matter unless it's out of the goodness of their heart (constructive)
Full offense, but these weren't "boarding schools". They weren't even schools. Honestly, they were closer to re-education centers or prisons. Censoring history only makes it easier to repeat it.

I think that a problem that a lot of people have nowadays when discovering their identity is “aesthetics”. I don’t mean like, “oh wow, that’s so aesthetically pleasing!” It is 100% to enjoy something because of how it looks. The problem, though, is when you enjoy an aesthetic (or several) to the point where if a part of your identity doesn’t correspond to one, you have to “fix” it. It’s harder to be yourself when you’re constantly worrying about which behaviour would fit into little boxes, and which wouldn’t.
That being said, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying an aesthetic, or simply liking something based on its appearance. The problem is when you lose motivation to do things you love because they aren’t “cutesy cottagecore femmecore coquette”. For example, I used to be utterly obsessed with the “That Girl” aesthetic. I woke up everyday at 6:30, worked out for 10 minutes, ate healthy foods whenever I could, took up journaling, started researching whatever I felt like, and cleaned up after myself and others. There’s nothing wrong with that. The problem began, though, when I found traits that weren’t something that “That Girl” would do. I’d listen to loud rock music, I’d sleep in on weekends, sometimes I’d skip workouts, etc. And because these habits didn’t fit into my little boxes that I made, I felt awful. I fell into a pit of self-hate, and started beating myself up over it. I found new interests, and lost even more motivation to fit into that aesthetic. But here’s the thing:
Nothing in life is going to be perfect.
The idea of having to correspond to an aesthetic is ridiculous at this point. Want to be “emo”, but also enjoy dressing in colourful clothes and don’t want to spend $500 on a pair of shoes? Okay!
Want to be “That Girl” who has a 10 step skincare routine and is super fit, but lack the dedication and funds? That’s okay, too!
Nothing is ever going to fit in a single little box. Sometimes they’ll fit into cabinets. Somethings they’ll mix with other things. Sometimes, you can just enjoy something. There shouldn’t be a pressure to have a perfectly curated image, just because it corresponds to a certain category of being. You’re not just an aesthetic, you’re you.
There’s a good video by Shinspeare on YouTube, called “Social Media’s Obsession with Aesthetics and Curated Identities” that is really lovely, and talks about the subject as well!

3 Week Femme Fatale Challenge
This is a weekly challenge - so you should do these everyday for the three weeks. Do not skip any of these because honestly, they’re not that hard (unless you can’t do any physical exercise due to a medical condition - then skip it). You need that push to be better - comfort does not always grow a person. I want you to tell yourself that you are going to do this religiously.
You are not going to change overnight.
But if you do all these things, you will grow so much that people will actually see a difference in you.
I know that routines are especially hard to follow if your friends have a different lifestyle. If you have friends who party a lot, stay up all night, have hectic days - you’re inclined to be influenced by them because you don’t want to be left out.
That’s why, I want to invite you to our discord chat. Here, you’ll receive articles, educational materials, tips and interaction from similar female counterparts.

* Journal
* Yoga mat / towel for a workout
* Water bottle - a MUST
A) Wake up early
about 2.5 hours before you need to leave for work/ school.
B) Hydration
Follow that with a glass of warm water and lemon / green tea / matcha. I don’t recommend having a cold drink on an empty stomach.
C) Journal
Start everyday by journaling. These are your three prompts for this week:
- What is one habit that immediately comes to mind that you want to change? It doesn’t matter how “silly” it sounds. This is for YOUR eyes.
- What is your biggest insecurity?
- What is the best part about yourself?
D) Working out
Work out for a minimum of 10 minutes. Whether it’s yoga or Pilates from YouTube, or a 10 minute run outside, get your body moving.
Some favourite workouts on YT:

E) Skin care and hair care
After your workout, go take a shower. Clean yourself properly - especially your lady parts. There’s a misconception that your vagina does not need to be washed. Yes, you mustn’t wash the INSIDE of your vagina, not the OUTSIDE. Here’s an article about that: https://www.healthline.com/health/womens-health/vulva-vagina-products#a-quick-look
- Clean your private parts
- Shave
- Body scrub, if you want
- Moisturise with body lotion
If you have blemished facial skin, try my skin routine before make up:
- face wash
- Toner
- Vitamin C
- Sunscreen
- Moisturiser (I skip this because my sunscreen is moisturising)
F) Education
- It is imperative that you know what’s going on the world. Read the news, only the headlines if you’re feel overwhelmed by reading whole articles.
- Do something productive for your brain. Play a crossword - there’s many free apps and free crosswords online- or Sudoku. I play a mental math phone game which I found for free (it’s literally called Mental Math). Keep your brain healthy.
G) Review at night
- Review your day today. How was it? Hectic, peaceful, stressful, organised? Why was it that way?
- Read 5 pages (minimum) of a book of your choice. You can find free books at www.z-lib.org
- End your day with a 5 minute meditation. https://youtu.be/2K4T9HmEhWE
