Reset Sunday guide :

Reset Sunday Guide :

disconnect : Starting by turning off your notifications, this is YOUR time you need to focus on you and only you. You could also delete social media at least for the day, works even better. Don’t answer any message unless it is something urgent, people need to respect your time.

Set the mood : Get comfortable and set a calm and relaxing mood by lighting some candles, putting on a comfortable outfit which makes you feel pretty, turning on some music, anything that puts you in the right mood for taking care of yourself.

Self care: Now you can start taking care of yourself. Start the longest skin care ever (don’t forget the neck), hydrate your whole body (damage from winter cold is no joke), take vitamins, put on a hair mask, paint your nails, massage your face while the mask is on, don’t forget to drink a lot of water.

Clean your space : While your masks and creams are on, you can start tidying up your place. Your mind is clearer when your working space is clean. Don’t forget to spray some perfume in your room for the final touch.

Prepare things for tomorrow : if you have work or classes tomorrow you can pick out your clothes the night before and organize your bag, that way you won’t be in a rush when you’re leaving the next day.

Relax : Now that everything is settled it is time to relax. Go watch Netflix under a warm blanket while drinking hot chocolate, listen to a podcast while doing yoga, go for a walk
Find something that makes you feel calm and relaxed and enjoy that moment !

The 7 Day #IChooseMe Challenge
The 7 Day #IChooseMe Challenge

The 7 Day #IChooseMe Challenge

The next seven days, choose YOU.

Choose yourself.

Prioritise yourself.

Take care of yourself.

If you’ve been feeling lost lately, or life has been off track - this challenge is great to bring you back on track.

It helps you have some structure in your life, while allowing you to have fun and plenty of spare time.

I am not a therapist or a doctor. Take this advice as you would from a friend.

With this challenge, you’ll feel a little more fulfilled, happier, and you’ll have a set routine.

You only have to accomplish 6 small goals a day for 7 days to finish this challenge.

____________________________________________

The Night Before Day 1

- Get in bed by 11:30 pm, even if you’re not tired.

- Try to finish all your work.

- Set your phone away from you.

____________________________________________

Day 1

- wake up at 7 am or 2.5 hours before work/ school.

- Make a to-do list for the day. Groceries, laundry, assignments due, appointments - make it a habit to note it down around 20 minutes after you wake up.

- Start your day with a 10 minute stretch. Do this before you eat.

- Read 2 news articles.

- Write down 3 things you’re grateful for today.

- Eat at least 1 fruit of your choice.

____________________________________________

Day 2

- wake up at 7 am or 2.5 hours before work/ school.

- Make a to-do list for the day. Groceries, laundry, assignments due, appointments - make it a habit to note it down around 20 minutes after you wake up.

- Start your day with a 6 minute, deep breathing meditation. Sit cross legged as you face south east, close your eyes and focus on breathing deeply.

- choose a healthy option for lunch. Salads, soups, healthy wraps, a light rice bowl - eat something with lots of nutrients.

- Compliment someone at work/ school today!

- Clean your room.

____________________________________________

Day 3

- wake up at 7 am or 2.5 hours before work/ school.

- Make a to-do list for the day. Groceries, laundry, assignments due, appointments - make it a habit to note it down around 20 minutes after you wake up.

- Start your day by telling yourself any 3 affirmations. Look at yourself in the mirror and speak out loud. This could be something like
”Today is going to be a good day. I’m capable of accomplishing and handling everything sent my way. I am a positive, healthy person and I genuinely love the person I am, or I am becoming.”

- Drink 2 litres of water today. Add a piece of lemon or mint if that helps!

- Read 5 pages of any book of your choice. If you don’t like reading, then listen to this podcast (start at 1 minute to skip the intro)

- write down a list of qualities you think you need to work on. It could be things like being on time, working on your anger, etc.

____________________________________________

Day 4

- wake up at 7 am or 2.5 hours before work/ school.

- Make a to-do list for the day. Groceries, laundry, assignments due, appointments - make it a habit to note it down around 20 minutes after you wake up.

- Start your day with a lymphatic drainage massage! This is a 10 minute video.

- Write down 3 things you’re grateful for today.

- Do a 20 minute workout.

- Change your bedsheets and covers. If you have some lavender mist lying around, spray it under your pillow for a good night’s rest.

_______________________________

- Write down how you felt this whole week. Did you feel better? Was there some structure in your life?

The stigma of self-inserts is so harmful to the creative process. Relax. Admit it. Everything you make is derivative of yourself, always, no exceptions. You can turn the mirror into tinier and tinier shards or you can make it as big as you want to reflect as much as you want. At the end of the day it's always going to show you inside of it. Pretending otherwise is stupid.

How to touch some grass

How To Touch Some Grass
How To Touch Some Grass

A guide for chronically online girlies who spend every second of their life scrolling through Tumblr. (no front, I love you <3)

Go on a walk. Fresh air, baby!

Lay in the sun. Or in the rain, since it's autumn.

Read a book. Only if you are able to with your goldfish TikTok attention span, lol. <3

Draw Something. I challenge you to draw a cat. send it to me on Twitter @ malusokay and I'll draw a better one. try me.

Try learning a new language. A date with the Duolingo bird.

Go to the theatre alone. Sit in one of those couple seats and stare at the cringy couples while eating popcorn; ignore the movie lmao.

Clean your room. Or reorganize it!

Climb a tree. At your own risk.

Make yourself some tea. Maybe host a tea party!

Try a new hairstyle. I've been trying those low space buns jk?

Bake a cake. Like a fancy and cool one!

Throw your phone into a lake and try to find it. :)

Workout or do yoga. Pilates can be fun too.

Try making friends in irl. This is a tough one, I'm sorry. <3

Paint your nails. Mine are black rn!

Start planning your birthday. Or write your Christmas wishlist.

Go get a coffee. Make your way to your local cafe and try something new! <3

Try learning how to crochet. I've been crocheting makeup bags, lmao.

Do your skincare routine. Do a face mask, and take time for yourself. <3

Make a smoothie. I'll give you a recipe... Banana, raspberries, strawberries, yoghurt for protein, your milk of choice and some coconut flakes as a topping!

Do your homework. So you can be lazy without feeling guilty.

Water your plants. They did nothing wrong... come on.. :(

Go to Ikea. Who doesn't love IKEA?? (not sponsored, lol)

Don't judge me, I wrote this at 3am, and I have the flu. It was fun tho haha.
