Hellow ED Tumblr!
Today I wanted to give some tips about fasting.
I know that this is really, really hard to fast for longer than 16 hours. ESPECIALLY when you have Binge Eating Disorder. E S P E C I A L L Y when you have a lot of food around (like on this end of year).
So, here are some tips that have been helping me through my cravings for the last 30 hours. I'd like to say that these won't work for everybody, but they have definitly been helping me, so I'll allow myself to share them.
Disclaimer: I do NOT support eating disorders. I'm fully for recovery. However, I don't want to recover and I don't feel ready for it, and I also acknowledge that I'm not the only one in this situation. I understand that other people like me might be just as overweight (or just self hating) like me, and believe that loosing weight might help them with their self-esteem, which is why I post this kind of tips. Thank you for understanding.
Watch YouTube videos about makeup. You'll think "do I really want food when I could get skinny and have a pretty face on which I could put that [lipstick/gloss/eyeshadow] without it looking like a pathetic attempt at beauty?". At least, that's pretty much what I thought.
Videos about fashion, clothes and hauls also work a lot for that! Actually, they might even help more, since most of us do this for our bodies more than our faces.
Really anything about beauty in general will work. I like to look at pretty nails, because they make me keep my motivation for skinny hands and fingers.
Learn to do something you never did before! I've been learning to apply nail polish for hours, and that both distracts and motivates me. Also, you can't eat with fresh nail polish. (That also helps me stop biting them if you want!)
Any drink under 50 cals doesn't break a fast, since your body can't make energy with it. Of you feel cravings for some taste (other than cold water/green tea/black coffee), have some almond milk with cinnamon. Or a low cal fruit juice. Whatever you can find that is less than 50 cals and would make you feel better!
You can also make a 0 cals broth. Easy, really: hot water mixed with the spices of your choice. I'm still looking for the perfect combination!
Walk in place while listening to music. If you have a creative mind, you might make up stories in your head about your favourite characters/OCs! It's my fav thing to do, I do that at least 2 hours a day ^^'
Text thinspiration! They work way better for me, a reader, than 'normal' thinspo, giving me a more pleasant idea of the future I might have if I do loose this weight.
Going back to fashion & makeup! You can go on e-shops and pick-up any clothes you'd like to wear, once you're skinny or not. Put them in your wishlist or your cart. If you can afford to, you can also buy your favourite at each goal weight you unlock!
Play video games. Really basic, but I can spend hours on the Sims 4 and totally forget about food.
Take a bath if you have a bathtube. Not only will that relax you, but you'll feel too great in the water to get up and have food.
Sleep. One of the most known ones. But we're currently on Winter's Break, so it's especially useful now (not that it wasn't before). You can sleep all day if you want. (Proof, I did it. Fell asleep at 9am and woke up at 8pm. It's currently half past midnight :'))
I hope it might have helped some of y'all!
Please, do never fast for longer than a hundred hours. It's extremely dangerous and is perfectly useless. Your body already burns less fast and more muscle after 72 hours! Imagine how dangerous (and useless, since I know some of y'all don't give a fuck about danger) it can be after 100. It's way better to fast for less time but more often than long fasts once in a while. Why do you think intermittent fasting works so well?
If you want to follow me, know that I follow back. However, this is a sideblog, and my main has NOTHING to do with eating disorders. I'll copy-past "Hi, it's me, cigs-n-berries, please don't follow back this account ;)" in your DMs in case you do accidentally follow it back.
Loads of love,
Dalian.

100 calorie stir-fry
Hey there! Since the 100 kcal spaghetti recipe seemed to be quite popular I thought I’d also share this recipe with you.
It makes one serving and it’s only 99 kcal in total!
I hope you have a lovely day! ♥
Ingredients
200g shirataki noodles (you can get those in Asian supermarkets) ~19 kcal
3g garlic ~4 kcal
75g onion ~21 kcal
30g carrots ~12 kcal
40g pepper ~17 kcal
20g spring onion ~8 kcal
10 ml soy sauce ~5 kcal
any sauce you like (I used 10 ml of hoisin sauce ~13 kcal)
Instruction
Rinse your shirataki noodles and put them into a non-stick frying pan. Don’t add anything else yet, we want to dry the noodles a bit to get rid of their rubber-ish texture. In the meantime you can cut your vegetables into small pieces. When the noodles start to shrink, you can add the garlic and the onions. Stir it from time to time and be careful to not burn them! When the onions start to turn a bit yellow/brown-ish you can add the rest of the vegetables. I like it when the vegetables have kind of a crunchy texture so I fry them only a bit but it obviously is up to you :) When you like the texture of your veggies add the sauce and maybe some seasoning. Fry it for approximately 2 more minutes and you’re done! Yay!
Variations
What I love about this recipe (besides that it’s really low-cal) is that you can change it up a lot by using different kinds of vegetables and sauces! You could also add chicken, shrimps, tofu, whatever! I had it with thai curry sauce as well but without carrots and paprika and it was great! I soon gonna try it with some bamboo sprouts and try to experiment with other sauces. If you decide to make it, I’d love to hear what sauce and veggies you used! I hope you guys enjoy this recipe as much as I do :)
My Spotify playlists are basically my soul
Also they are oddly specific

You know what’s weird is not having a real concept of continuity in your life, for everything but especially for the good things. like you could be doing stuff with people you care about all week, but as soon as you have a day where nobody texts you first it’s like none of it ever counted and it starts to feel like anything you ever do is just a temporary distraction from how lonely your life really is
@j-kylee
when they ask you to read something thats not fanfiction
