two such admirable individuals, so different and special in equal measure, gifted and loved childrenš¤
"He doesn't owe me anything. I'll make life as easy for him as I can but it's no use me thinking what I would do if I was him, because I'm not him and he isn't little me."
ā John Lennon about Julian Lennon.
"It's a combination of John and Yoko, which produced something completely and entirely separate from us. It is not a little John Lennon or a little Yoko Ono ā It's a Sean. It's itself, He is himself, you know."
ā John Lennon about Sean Ono Lennon.
i seriously cannot comprehend the sex drive that makes one exclusively horny for captain america looking movie hunks or the victorias secret angel archetype of tall underweight women with generically pretty faces in bikinis. that shit is like carbon monoxide or infrasonic noise to my libido like my sexual senses cant even clock it
āMANSFIELD: But, you know, [after John showed me the pictures of himself and Yoko nude for the album cover of Two Virgins], I asked Paul about this. And this, to me, is indicative of their relationship, maybe as much as anything I [had] ever heard. I said, āPaul, you know, what do you think about this?ā And Paul says, āI donāt know.ā He said, āI donāt really agree with John. But I just am going to figure that Johnās ahead of me on this, and that someday Iāll understand and Iāll catch up. So, you know, Iām okay.ā ROSEN: And what did that reaction tell you about their relationship? MANSFIELD: That it was an extremely deep relationship. And you know, you couple that with the thing Paul told me about, you know, when I asked him how come Johnās name was on āOb-La-Di, Ob-La-Daā when I was there when he was writing it and John wasnāt. These two comments from Paul showed me what their ā how deep their relationship was. ROSEN: What did he say on that occasion, about āOb-La-Di, Ob-La-Daā? MANSFIELD: Okay. On āOb-La-Di, Ob-La-Daā [ā¦] I was in the hotel room, the bungalow with Paul [in L.A.]. And that night, when we were ā he was working on some songs, and he included me on the writing, you know, just ācause I was there. He said, āWhat do you think of this?ā And Iād say, āWell, why donāt you try this?ā And the songs were āOb-La-Di, Ob-La-Daā and ā[Back In The] U.S.S.R.ā And that was all. It was very casual. I drive home that night, and Iām going: āWait a minute! Was I ā was I songwriting with Paul McCartney? Wow, thatās pretty cool!ā Well, you know, the record comes out, and itās Lennon and McCartney. And I didnāt expect it to be Mansfield-McCartney. But I asked Paul, I said, āYou know, I was there with you when you were writing this, and John wasnāt. And yet itās a Lennon-McCartney.ā And Paul said: āJohn and I are so close to each other, weāve been through so much together, we understand each other so much, our relationship is so deep, that when weāre songwriting,ā he said, āeven if Iām 6,000 miles away, I can be working on something and I can hear John over my shoulder going, āNo, no, no, thatās not gonna work; why donāt we do this?ā Or āHey, I like this.āā He said, āSo, in essence, to me, weāre songwriting together even if weāre not together.ā ROSEN: Hmm! MANSFIELD: Now do you see something between those two comments about how their relationship, how it was veryā? Even when I think they were at their furthest away from each other, I think there was something, a strong connection between those two people.ā

you can make a beatles reference out of literally anything. you walk outside, you see the sun. here comes the sun? george harrison? well, say perchance it's a rainy day, therefore no sun. rain? like the beatles song? you walk back inside to grab an umbrella. but what's that? you're back inside... and you're walking on wood! norwegian wood? this bird has flown? so you get back in your car.. but whats that? you're driving? on the road? why dont we do it in the road? you get to the supermarket and when you pay for said groceries, theres... taxes? taxman? BEATLES REFERENCE?
all the way
I believe in
For Paul
rip john lennon you would have loved the smiths
My people has made their wish clear, so here Iām.
