24 April 2025
Exercised for the first time in years yesterday and today I'm paying the price of that negligence 😐 I have a test (crystallochem) and a final (chem tech seminar) next week but I'm feeling all right about both, did some studying for the latter this morning. April has been kind of dragging on - the whole semester has, actually - but I'm not upset about it: I'm in no hurry to graduate lol.
Finished reading Rouge earlier this week and I can easily say Mona Awad never disappoints. She has to be one of my favorite authors. My current read is pictured here and so far it's been very promising too! Feels a little like Jane Austen but funnier and more serious simultaneously. You can find me on storygraph btw :) I'm @/erbium there 🧪

--- 30 days of productivity • COLLAB CHALLENGE WITH @studaxy • Day 20/30 ---
💛 Axy's study time: 0h
💙 Iris's study time: 4h
[Axy's sleep time was like 17h lol but in their defense they were sick and terribly sleep deprived]
Made some IT notes. I'm not drastically lagging behind on that subject anymore :)

Could not, for the life of me, get the lighting to cooperate in the library. I did, however, get a metric shit ton of work done.
you don’t need perfect conditions to start. you just need to start. five minutes of focus is better than waiting for motivation to come.
I'm back
I’ve been so busy in these days that I hadn't even got time for myself.
I've tried Histology again and again, but nothing seems to work. Honestly I'm tired and frustrated, because I have studied A LOT. I guess its a matter of luck 🥲🍀
Here there are few photos from the past days, lessons and study sessions were intense (there’s my cat trying to give me some moral support).
Good study to everyone! 💕✨💕

• I have so many half finished drafts and I’m just going to forget about them and move on.
• I’m doing a productivity challenge and I haven’t posted once and I’ve highkey been slacking but I’m here so things are looking up. I’ll start making the posts about that tomorrow.
• The past weeks have been good but also not. I feel like I never seem to thrive at multiple things at once. But I won’t stop trying.
• I did some viola practice and also vocab Flashcards. The performance might be in July and I can play one of the pieces fairly well and the other isn’t too hard so I’ll definitely be ready by then.
• Unfortunately I have two exams in July and the chances of the performance and an exam being on the same day is insanely high. All I have to do to avoid disaster is start studying early enough and take my time and also practice consistently till then. Give myself no reason to crash and burn. Very simple. Haha.
• I decided to set some non-negotiable tasks for the productivity challenge. I plan to keep at them afterwards though. Preferably for the entire quarter. I’m aiming at forming some new habits.
• It’s nice to feel determined again, I just hope I can hold on to it.

📖: The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. I actually haven’t touched it in a week but whatever💀.
☀️: Bumped into a friend and also called my mom.
Study/code sesh in Barnes and noble after work today. Still in search of a cozy dimly lit coffee shop to study in. Only bad thing about going to school online ;(
2025. 03. 03 | Lighting from Sunday to Monday
I’m working from home today bc this weekend has completely destroyed my body.
For some reason, work is giving me energy I didn’t know I had and I ran a 10k with bestie in prep for the half marathon in May. (Who am I??)
Then immediately hosted a dinner gathering with friends, woke up late the next morning to have a large lunch to sustain ourselves for the day festival, where we danced for 8 hours. Sunday, bestie came over to sit in the sun and walk a couple hours in the city center to browse some books and debrief the festival. We had a big dinner together, courtesy of A, and talked til she went home.
I intended to get up and go this morning, but my body told me no. So I’m working from home today, hoping my Teams status doesn’t turn yellow as I make my way through environmental thermodynamics calculations and our stinky second child tries to participate by stepping on my keyboard.
