okay yall hear me out what if lucifer also made A hotel or something a long time ago because he didn't want people to stay in hell because he doesnt seem rude only protective of his daughter.

I think lucifer still has angel views hence why he some angel in him. and he knew the angels wouldn't listen to Charlie like to him so that's why he thought it was "stupid" in the pilot.

And Lilith made charlie not have a connection with lucifer and lucifer is bad at feelings but he loved Charlie so much and can't understand how to give gentle emotions because he was an angel. And I assume angels would be someone who craves touch or is rude/cold/blunt in the series.

I don't think lucifer is a dead beat I think he WANTED to have a relationship with Charlie but Lilith prevented it.
