I know of the 600 Shade theory, but I’ve never actually heard of Hades being the one to release them.
I have heard everyone's theories and I raise yall:
I desperately need to and WANT to finish reading The Odyssey, and I want to see Odysseus properly reunite with Penelope and Telemachus. I want to see him kill the suitors so badly and regain his home. Despite this I don’t want the book to end. I have four books (chapters) left but I dread finally closing the book.
Wild and wacky feeling if I do say so myself. I’ll probably finish it this week and then ugly cry about it.
Being a fan of Epic is wild since one of the most fun and upbeat songs of the entire musical is literally called “Suffering”.
That’s it that’s the news.
Now that I’ve listened to Vengeance on repeat, I think I have my favorite songs in order.
1. Charybdis- it slaps so hard and it literally woke me up during the live stream. Will be singing this song to my dog. Charybdis sounds like a whale.
2. Dangerous- it just slaps. It’s got so much pazzaz (I can’t spell)
3. Get in The Water- performances slayed so hard and I loved hearing the many musical motifs hidden under Poseidon and Odysseus screaming at each other.
4. 600 Strike- it’s more yelling but the instrumental goes righteously hard. I love both Odysseus and Poseidon. Ngl it kinda hurt seeing my favorite god being tortured by my favorite Greek hero.
5. Not Sorry for Loving You- song is beautiful and Wangui does a beautiful job singing, although I REALLY don’t like Calypso. It’s also a very fascinating song on a psychological level I feel.
Please note I love and adore all of these songs and Jorge blew us out of the water with this saga.
Hi, hello, allow me to casually rip your heart out
In We’ll Be Fine, the beginning piano hits are taken from My Goodbeye. Go give it a listen
:’)
Going to war for 10 years and will take another 10 years to return to Ithaka where my wife and son wait for me (I’ll be gone for a week, it’ll feel like a month, and my cat and dogs have little to no sense of time I fear)
Our tactful, guileful man, ladies and gents
tbh my favourite quality about Odysseus towards the end of the Odyssey is that he'll swear to be honest and immediately spit out two pages of nothing but lies about who he is and where he comes from and whose son he is and how he's suffered terribly to get where he is now
compare that to him giving polyphemus his full name, his postal address, his social security number, and his birth certificate in earlier chapters
that's what we call ✨personal growth✨
Plagued by the 600 souls of my fleet
Love how the start of Odysseus is the same as the horse and infant
Not Odysseus’ “Maybe you can learn to forgive” line being in the same melody as “ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves”.
Greek mythos brainrot is so bad that Odysseus king of Ithaka can grow mushrooms using my neurons
