“When did you get here, Luna?” Hermione asked genuinely. It seemed like their whole community was turning up and it had been quite the sight. But having Luna here felt like maybe things were normal again. Now the other’s just needed to show up. “Oh this? Thanks, I wore it for someone but I don’t know if it will end up panning out the way I’d hoped. We’ll have to see how things work out with him through the night.” She said and her smile got a little bigger as she moved her focus onto Luna more. “But you look amazing! I love that you are always just yourself. It’s such a nice relief to see you here in all of this chaos. But I know what you mean about it being home.” Hermione said with a nod. “Now if only everyone else could show up, right?”
☆.。.:*・°
"about a month or two, give or take. you ??” truthfully the timing of it all was a bit h a z y . sometimes it felt like she’d been here for years && other times like she just go here. but that’s how time worked right ?? years that, while in them, felt like they’d never end happened so quickly when looking back. at hermione’s words gaze turned genuinely a bit upset at her disappointment. “well if it means anything, they’re foolish to not appreciate it or you if that’s the case. && not to overstep — but i’d say always dress for yourself. you’ll look just as radiant, i promise.” they muttered off, though meant it. “being oneself always attracts the right people.” eventually, even if few && far between in some cases. luna’s smile warmed all the more at the compliment. “it would be nice to have a little reunion, wouldn’t it ?? it feels like it’s been forever. i couldn’t even tell you the last time we were all in one space.”
after what feng && the others had gone though, she didn’t want to take anything for granted ever again, including public library wifi even if it was never the best. it felt a little more familiar than some of the other places, most like an internet cafe feng supposed. she enjoyed the sense of COMMUNITY places like this brought to a city. no matter how big there was always a few people sharing commonalities. while ivywood certainly wasn’t home it was better than the fog, than waiting around that damn campfire for whatever nightmare would occur in the next trial. FREE WILL — feng almost forgot what it truly felt like. at the other’s call feng jumped — as she did with all unexpected noises, always on edge before attempting to shrug it off. she followed an aisle that led to the other, nodding her head in greeting. “hi. do you work here ??”
anneliese wasn’t sure what brought her here to ivywood, but she was sure her mother was worried sick about her, and so was julian. she just wanted to get home, but the problem was that she didn’t know how. so she made the most of it. she’d gotten a job at a local library, and she was working toward buying herself an apartment to live in until she could get back to her hometown. there were times when she wasn’t even sure she wanted to go back if given the chance, as she’d grown resentful of living in a palace and having the duties and responsibilities of a princess. but… she knew she’d miss her mother too much to just abandon her. she was currently nestled in the local library where she worked, reading a science book about charles darwin. her mother would’ve had a heart attack if she’d caught anneliese reading about evolution, but the princess found it, and science in general, captivating. she was at a specific part, really honed in, when, suddenly, she heard the familiar chime of the bell as someone presumably walked in and soon felt eyes on her. “…hello?” she called out, just in case there was actually someone there.
johanna had a few vices — caffeine happened to be one of them. the cafe was one of her frequent stops. whether it was to help cure an inevitable hangover or to simply get a bit of energy she was there. today though, it happened to be the former. an ever persistent headache that wouldn’t go away despite anything she did. stubborn, she knew it well. wrapping lithe digits around the cup, she warmed cold hands as she sipped at her black coffee. eyes scanned her phone as she attempted to plan the rest of her day, seeing what classes she was to teach at the gym, her booked appointments. overhearing the other’s words she couldn’t help but snicker, agreeing immensely. “i wouldn’t blame you if you did. they tend to be rather awful.” johanna drawled, brow raised. “then again, maybe that’s just cause they’ve never liked me. but it goes both ways.” a shrug, she peered up at the other. “long day ??”
rachel was always quick to do anything. she created her entire life to curate her being a star. there was nothing that she couldn’t do when she put her mind to it. so, showing up in ivywood not remembering everything that happened to her in lima threw her off her game for a hot second, but she was quick to jump back into action. she found a job at the local school as a music teacher and even started her own glee club. it wasn’t new directions, but it would do. rachel frequented the cafe after school a lot, trying to blow of steam from a long day of working. after grabbing her coffee, rachel sat down and let out a sigh. “if i have to hear one more high pitched squeak of a voice come out of one more kid, i might actually have to scream,” rachel huffed to whoever could be listening. soon, she closed her eyes and let out another sigh. if rachel was anything, she was dramatic. sure, she loved teaching and still being a part of a glee club, despite it not being the new directions.
while never having a top score on any game, beverly liked to think she was rather decent at a few arcade games. or well, at least she once was. she tended to stick to the classics, like pac-man or frogger. having just turned some cash into game tokens, bev had yet to notice the party until she got a bit closer. at the other’s words beverly chuckled lightly as she turned from the group to ginny. she quite liked, though was always a bit weary of the idea of ever having her own. she wouldn’t want to fuck them up. “i can see that. but no. just came here in attempts to get a TOP SCORE. though, maybe i should wait. with them around they’re bound to kick my ass && that’d then just be embarrassing,” bev quipped.
open starter location: gametime arcade
tendrils of red hair were falling from her ponytail as she made another pass through the party room. if only she could use magic. then maybe she wouldn’t be so overwhelmed with the constant requests from a group of eight-year-old muggle children and their equally demanding parents. she’d just taken out more napkins and paper plates when she noticed someone loitering by the front door. she signaled to them she’d be just a second as she set down the items and hurried over, grateful to be away from the deafening laughter and screams even if briefly. “ hey, sorry about that. things are a little chaotic at the moment. are you here for the birthday party? ” she asked, pushing the stray hairs behind her ear.
edgcofgreat / han solo * !!
Han wasn’t impressed. It was clear that the stranger– Finn knew more than he was letting on. Hell, he might have let it go, if it weren’t for the fact that he was clearly trying to hide something, something personal. If it was something that could help him find his kid, or just get some answers, he wanted to know. “ Kid, I know a good liar when I see one, and you ain’t one. You’re gonna have to try a hell of a lot harder than that. ”
・。・゜★
finn was hoping that’d be enough, but he could tell from the look on han’s face it was f a r from it. despite how uncomfortable it all was, finn knew if roles were reversed he’d want to know. the idea of information being held, not helping in all the ways he potentially could — finn never wanted to experience that sort of thing again. a sigh pushed past him, offering a small, kind grin. “okay, yeah — it’s a bit more COMPLICATED than that. you’re gonna think i’m crazy solo, but ... i knew an older you. but !! i have good news, depending on what you do remember. the empire lost. && the was this thing called the first order that may have taken its place but, we won against them too.”
seeing familiar faces around ivywood was becoming a more common occurrence. it was always a bit of relief, regardless of the individual. regardless also, if what they remembered && what luna did some of the time differed. despite how troubling the times were, luna did miss home, especially their dad. so if he couldn’t be here, it was nice to at least have a few people from back home. “hermione !!” smile genuine, warm. “it’s so nice to see you too. what a surprise, though a very good one indeed !!” they chimed, gaze moving between her && the ballroom. “i love your dress. seeing you && being in this place, reminds me of home in a way, you know ??”
Other than a few of the adults and Ginny and her kids, and Draco of course, Hermione really hadn’t seen anyone from her hometown here. The adults were all off doing their own things and Hermione was still trying to remember exactly what had happened over the past years of her life. So to see Luna there at the ball made things feel calm, for the first time in awhile. Even if Hermione found the girl a bit odd, she was a welcoming presence. “Luna! Look at you! You look wonderful tonight.” Hermione said walking up to her. “It’s so good to see you, you wouldn’t believe how much of a sight for sore eyes you are.”
xesotericconundrumx / lulu * !!
lulu looked up and at the man and swallowed back her tears and tried to smile at the joke. it was a weak attempt and past her would have loved that pun. she nodded, “yeah better then spilled milk.” gathering up some things in her arms the blonde nodded vigorously. “i’m fine. really. you ever just have one of those days when you know it’s all going to be toppling down but you don’t know what gonna push it.” that was her every day life. “I really should just get reusable bags at this point. but my cart is broken so one thing at a time ya know.”
・・・・・・
a slight nod, he may not know exactly what the other was going through, but the feeling was familiar. frankly, he wouldn’t admit that to anyone who actually knew him. mike munroe was supposed to always be on top of the world. more often than not he felt like he was missing something, or that maybe he wasn’t doing what he should. “there’s always hope for a better tomorrow, that’s probably what i’m supposed to say. i’ll keep my fingers crossed that’s the case for you. but as for your cart i could take a look at it if you think it’s salvageable. i don’t know a lot about fixing things but i do like to try to figure shit out.”
while feeling much more comfortable in the attire he came to ivywood in ( how he did, finn was still trying to figure out ), he knew it was best to blend. that was something finn was used to, having simply been a NUMBER once. though, that felt like forever ago now thankfully. dark gaze wandered over the different pieces, all the different fabrics. he pulled out a simple tee, wondering to himself if it was blast-proof when the other spoke. finn couldn’t help but grin, immediately more at ease. “really ?? cool.” with that he slung it over his arm, eyes moving between her and the clothing rack. “you’re good. if anything i need the help.” he admitted, a light laugh following his words. “i’ve never been all that good at this stuff.” he never had the privilege to be before.
waking up in a town where she had no idea who anyone was or how she got there was weird for the girl. she felt like singing a song about it, but she decided against it. this wasn’t glee club, although she wished it was. it didn’t take her long to use her resources and get a job at finder’s creepers, a thrift and consignment shop in the town. although she couldn’t leave and she had no idea how she got there, she got an ounce of happiness out of working there and going back to school. while at work, marley had been gawking from far away, unsure if she should walk up to the other and tell them that they would look great in the shirt that they were looking at in the thrift shop. finally, she shot her nerves down and basically strutted towards the other. “that would look so good on you!” marley spoke, a bit of enthusiasm in her voice before she realized. she felt like retreating. but she had already gotten herself into this mess. “i, uh… didn’t mean that in a creepy way, i’m— sorry.” ivywood was a place to find her inner lady gaga. she needed to be more.. out of her comfort shell.
there wasn’t much that could NUMB the memories of the past, especially here. no morphling to be found ( then again, perhaps it was a strange, painful blessing — she’d seen what morphlings became ). && while liquor was hardly the same, it would do. hand raked through hair that johanna once questioned would ever grow back as she made herself comfortable, brow arched at her words as unamused gaze turned towards the other. “well —” a pause, her sights now moving around the ever crowding bar. “guess you better save that one.” johanna mused, pointedly looking at the chair opposite of Katarina. “first come, first serve,” she chimed with feigned warmth, slight smirk tugging at the corners of her mouth.
—- “Are you god damn kidding me?” Katarina exhales as her eyes fix upon the bartender. He had a very specific task. And that task was? To fill a wine glass with human blood. However, This human was a complete useless individual. She clears her expression and it switches to a sincere one – a grin upon her face & her body leaning in towards him. “If immortality is what you want, I will gladly give it to you. But, you need to follow directions exactly as I say.” Katarina speaks softly before locking eyes with him and compelling him. “Re-fill this cup. to the rim.” And with that, the man goes to the back. A devilish smile upon her and within a second, it fades to hear someone sat by her. But, the smile returns as she looks at the person before her. “I believe this seat is taken.”
kissed you when i saw you. stared deep into your eyes. i meant to say ' i love you ', but instead i said goodbye. shadows in the city ; i'm a stranger to myself, on these streets i'm someone else. shadows in the city ; like a demon in the dark come to tear us apart.
