Bill nodded his head, starting to realize that maybe Bev didn’t have all of her memories. “Beverly,” He started, making sure he was careful with how he asked his question. “How much do you remember? About everything.” He wanted to know if she remembered the second fight with Pennywise, or if maybe she was like Mike and had forgotten some parts. “We could definitely take that plan sure! I can promise you Richie would be completely up for it. Sure he would have a blast.”

                    it was EMBARASSING, forgetting about one’s childhood && friends. but with bill && the losers she didn’t question honesty like she did with others. “well —i didn’t really remember you or the others till i saw you. i’ve always had dreams of It but always thought they were just nightmares. some still are but it’s nice to understand them a bit despite knowing It might come back.” even now as she tried to sort the timeline out it was confusing, like there were blockages in her own mind. “why ?? did that happen to you too ?? ” a light chuckle, this time a bit more joyous at the idea. “oh for sure. maybe we shouldn’t let him pick out everyone’s fake pasts though. we’ll all have storylines that could be in any soap opera or worse, guaranteed.”

Hearing a voice, Scorpius sat up and noticed the person standing in front of him, pausing a moment before responding. “Oh, it’s not the books fault. My brain just really isn’t in it today.” He responded, giving a small shrug of his shoulders. He appreciated the offer to help, but really didn’t know how he could be helped. “Honestly, I’m not really sure what you could do. I think my brain is just all jumbled up and it’s hard to get it organized enough to be able to actually function.”

                    a knowing grin crossed their features — “i wish my mind had a map or something sometimes. my thoughts always tend to wander && get lost.” sometimes it felt permanent — like when luna attempted to figure out what exactly was going on in this town. “you could try to focus on one thing at a time ?? easy to say i know. sometimes if you focus on the easiest thing && either figure it out or get it done you’ll least then feel accomplished.” luna paused, lips pursed more in thought before continuing. “or simply let yourself feel, think it all. it’s okay to have a bad day.”

               Ben  couldn’t  help  the  blush  that  crept  onto  his  cheeks.  Jesus,  he  was  a  grown  man,  why  was  he  acting  like  this?  Because  it’s  Bev,  that’s  why.  “  If  it  makes  you  feel  any  better,  I’m  sure  you’re  a  more  tolerable  drunk  than  I  am.  ”  He  got  giggly  when  he  drank,  and  even  though  he  knew  that  Bev  had  seen  him  like  that  before,  something  about  her  seeing  him  like  that  still  made  him  nervous.  “  Well,  something  tells  me  that  this  isn’t  exactly  the  occasion  to  order  a  beer.  ”  He  chuckled  softly,  looking  toward  the  bar  and  shaking  his  head.  He'd  been  in  enough  formal  occasions  to  know  that.  “  Which  is  exactly  why  I’ve  learned  to  appreciate  a  good  whiskey.  ”

at least it wasn’t just his mind playing tricks on him. or maybe it was the force guiding him to where he needed to be, even if he didn’t know it. luke gave the man, finn, a small smile and nodded. “uh, yeah, doesn’t mean a whole lot right now, i have to admit,” he agreed, but he could feel the man was telling the truth. he was starting to learn to trust the force his gut again. “i’m luke. or, i guess you already know that.” since the other man seemed to have his memories. so he knew his sister, and they were fighting… something. “wait, did you say a different time? what, are we from the future?” that might take a little explaining to do when it came to ezra.

                    the other’s smile was easily returned, meekly shrugging his shoulders. “to be fair, you didn’t look like you do now when i knew you. but i’m pretty sure i’d know you anywhere.” whether that be from the force or his own wishful thinking. “this system marks time differently than we did. but based on what little tech they have i’d say probably so. no ships, at least ones like ours, no droids. they’re all human too. which considering there aren’t any wookiees who always win at dejarik maybe it’s a good thing.” finn smiled, but it was slight, a bit bittersweet. he wouldn’t mind seeing chewie again, any of them. “but i haven’t seen any evidence of —” dark forces, “— of anything bad, besides the whole barrier thing of course. so whatever is going on, i think it’s something we haven’t faced before.”

                    having not grown up with any TRADITIONS, finn found them all a bit odd, albeit fascinating. valentines day, one day to show love to family, to friends. he already knew it wasn’t going to be his favorite. in the midst of war, one day was never enough. he’d been admiring some of the questionable heart décor when he felt it — a draw to someone he couldn’t ignore even if he wanted to. finn had heard of the memory lapses, the identical faces that some people in this town had to endure, but he knew her. finn immediately rushed over to rey, arms winding tightly around her frame. “rey. you’re here. you’re okay.” a pause, brows worriedly knit. “i mean, you are okay, right ?? “When did you get here, Luna?” Hermione asked genuinely. It seemed like their whole community was turning up and it had been quite the sight. But having Luna here felt like maybe things were normal again. Now the other’s just needed to show up. “Oh this? Thanks, I wore it for someone but I don’t know if it will end up panning out the way I’d hoped. We’ll have to see how things work out with him through the night.” She said and her smile got a little bigger as she moved her focus onto Luna more. “But you look amazing! I love that you are always just yourself. It’s such a nice relief to see you here in all of this chaos. But I know what you mean about it being home.” Hermione said with a nod. “Now if only everyone else could show up, right?”

                    "about a month or two, give or take. you ??” truthfully the timing of it all was a bit  h a z y . sometimes it felt like she’d been here for years && other times like she just go here. but that’s how time worked right ?? years that, while in them, felt like they’d never end happened so quickly when looking back. at hermione’s words gaze turned genuinely a bit upset at her disappointment. “well if it means anything, they’re foolish to not appreciate it or you if that’s the case. && not to overstep — but i’d say always dress for yourself. you’ll look just as radiant, i promise.” they muttered off, though meant it. “being oneself always attracts the right people.” eventually, even if few && far between in some cases. luna’s smile warmed all the more at the compliment. “it would be nice to have a little reunion, wouldn’t it ?? it feels like it’s been forever. i couldn’t even tell you the last time we were all in one space.”

               Draco  frankly  couldn’t  blame  Luna  for  their  reaction,  and  if  this  conversation  had  taken  place  a  couple  months  ago  he  might  have  even  found  it  satisfying.  But  he  had  to  admit,  as  terrible  as  the  feeling  was,  it  stung.  “  If  that’s  what  you’d  prefer,  so  be  it.  ”  He  muttered,  content  to  move  on  until  they  asked  a  question.  Letting  out  a  sigh,  he  shrugged.  “  A  month,  give  or  take.  ”

                    while luna may not exactly be worried about the all the rumors of this town going around, they did want to understand. always CURIOUS, always wanting to help even if they hardly knew how to. regardless, luna was more likely to embrace one’s theories instead of knocking them down. “well it is a new place ; some would say that calls for a fresh start.” they shrugged, nodding along. “myself as well i think. but seems like there are way worse off places to be.”
