feng found video games at a young age. she loved the fact that she could become anyone she wanted. hours turned into days spent online && eventually her parents attempted to put a stop to it. they wanted feng to focus on her studies, to do something productive with her time. feng however saw how technology was changing, how there was a future in video games. in turn feng spent most of her time in internet cafes, pushing herself to get better && in turn slowly gained a following through streaming && competitions.
respect — something she never had from her parents but did in the gaming world. less time was spent at home, only seeing her family on the holidays && even then she wished the time away. as the shining lion, her nickname && gamer tag, she was invited into a prestigious e-gaming team called the laser bears. a chosen family, they traveled the world, filled up stadiums with fans together && separately.
but feng soon became obsessed, aiming for nothing less than perfection. she barely slept, with that her performance suffered. it got to her more than she let on, losing. she felt like she was not only losing competitions, but the respect && love of her peers, fans, parents. instead of spending sleepless nights training she went out to bars ; apparently games weren’t the only places one could be whomever they want. more often than not feng woke up in strange places ... only one day it was somewhere she had never been. the fog.
a place controlled by an entity, a place of nightmares — filled with horror icons && some she had never heard of. at first feng was cold to the others, never the most altruistic ( still wasn’t up until she left. especially to newer survivors. they had something to prove, didn’t they ?? ). feng spent her time observing, calculating. while terrified of what this place was, she soon discovered in reality, it was almost like a new game for her. one that she was determined to win. for her, that meant getting herself out of each trial by any means necessary. it wasn’t until she learned that it was better to work as a team, as she slowly let herself open up to the others, that she started looking out for them too. like her e-sports team the others became a sort of family even in their current chaos.
IVYWOOD
she hasn’t been here for very long, but already she feels rather bored — though she’d never admit it. of course it’s better than in the entity’s realm, but when not focused on surviving it’s easier to let her mind wander && all the more difficult to not go back to old habits. but she’s trying™. despite how hard of a time she gave some of the other survivors, she misses them, hopes they’re alright && somehow end up here too. until then she’s content to get back to video games, to see all that she’s missed && attempt to help meg learn how to play too.

ethan, the fifth out of ten, literally && metaphorically knew what it was like to be in the middle, to be quite average. growing up he tended to just get by. he was one to do what he was told && wouldn’t make too much of a fuss ; anytime a group of children are around it’s always a bit loud, even when there were just five of them, let alone ten. ethan wanted to bring even the smallest bit of peace that he could. ethan was always more of one to speak up when asked, though whenever outside or when watching a comedy or movie with animals in it oddly enough one couldn’t ever get him to shut up.
as expected when surrounded by music he grew up loving it, a fan of 70s && 80s rock. ethan also had a soft spot for the piano. when taking one-on-one lessons he was fine, but at his first piano recital he got up on stage && froze, massive stage fright. ethan ran off without playing a single note. despite how long ago it was he still holds shame for it ( a disappointment, not knowing what he was good at, if anything ) && truthfully it made him thankful to be in the shadows, only made him thrive in it a bit more. even now despite how close the siblings are he hardly ever plays && if so it’s only when a few are around.
while perhaps not fully unexpected it still hurt when their mother left. ethan tried to remain rather stoic about it, though there was always a part of him that held onto a bit of hope that things would work out in the end. he preferred to see the good in people, even when it may be difficult to find. on the bad nights he’d pitch up a tent && hope for comfort. after that though he tried to cut off his thoughts, his feelings from it all ; didn’t want to overthink it. he behaved similarly after their father committed suicide. but this time even the thin fabric felt suffocating. thankfully counting stars was easier than counting sheep, made it feel like the world was bigger than all their issues — or so he told himself. as usual, after the funeral he tried to not think about it for very long at any given time.
the family moved to the states to focus on their american label. it was then that he found his love for thru-hiking. when his legs ached after a 24 mile or more day it was near impossible to ponder over much else. after graduating high school he skipped college && focused on the long list of trails he wished to see. in between long hikes he worked random jobs, mostly construction. while the jackson’s were well off he felt guilty using their parents’ money, whether that’s simply because he’s stubborn or angry he’d rather not delve into figuring out.
ethan managed to see a lot of the world on his feet, though no matter what his family always brought him back home from one couch to another. april was coming up, && despite how much easier it’d be to stay out on the trails he decided to come back home to be with the family, especially during a difficult anniversary. thus he decided to take a bit of a break && give himself more roots in ivywood, settling into a quaint townhouse of his own near his siblings. though, more often than not you’ll find him somewhere in nature.

( tw: abduction, brainwashing, war ) a boy, taken at the age of three with no memories of a childhood, is forced to serve the First Order. given the name, if one can all it that, FN-2187, he is programmed, trained to become a stormtrooper. despite his natural abilities — a leader in the making, he was too empathetic despite the First Order’s efforts. he soon realized what they were doing was wrong, & with that he helped smuggle out Resistance pilot, Poe Dameron, from the Starkiller base, & also got a real name — Finn. after a flight gone wrong, he soon met Rey & while at first wanting to simply run away, in fear the First Order would find him & his belief that the cause would lose regardless, he later changed his mind. finn realized how important the Resistance was, & that there were things worth fighting for. & boy, was there a lot of fighting. the star wars universe is so big, so just know things happened, & Finn grew stronger & stronger in his beliefs aligning with the Resistance. he became a General along with Poe. he also learned he was force sensitive & that the force really does bring people together :’). he loves his people okay, finn & john boyega deserve so much love, bless. give finn a lightsaber or i riot, disney. you can find his wiki here.

finn woke up with no memory of how he got here. he’s concerned™ but mainly for his friends. if anything he hopes they’re not here & are safe at their homes. he’s trying to learn as much about this place as he can, for it’s all so foreign to him. he has suspicions that there’s something dark at play, but he’s trying to be optimistic.

depending on how the game is played, there’s different events ; there’s a lot to cover so alas here’s his wiki. but !! since it has been almost six years since this game came out ( & i’m still not over it bye ), here’s a smol rundown of this asshole <3. when/if he ever does get his memories back, he’ll remember himself as the SOLE SURVIVOR outcome just cause we love pain :) :) :).

a year before the incident, mike & his friends were staying at the washington’s vacation lodge — hannah was known for having a crush on mike, despite the fact that he was dating emily at the time. they prank hannah by having mike confess his attraction to her while the other friends hide & film it ( with the exception of josh, sam, & beth ). things get a little 👀 when the others reveal themselves, ofc embarrassing hannah. they pull the it’s just a prank speech, but hannah runs outside, soon followed by her twin beth — they disappeared & were never seen again ... in human form at least :)
a year later they all come back to the lodge for a reunion, only now mike is dating jessica, emily’s former best friend. shit gets real™, & eventually the group finds out that josh was pranking them all for killing hannah & beth ... but also because of the cursed land & of a mining accident that happened in 1952 ( one that required the miners to resort to cannibalism to live ), hannah turned into a wendigo in her efforts to survive and is attacking them ... bless.
they then can all live or die one way or another ( with the exception of josh, who turns into a wendigo himself rip ), they’ve been through a lot, bless ‘em. hopefully that made the tiniest bit of sense ?? <3. thanks for coming to my ted talk.
IVYWOOD
his personality is pretty much the same, with the exception of the lovely character development we get throughout the game, unfortunately. so long story short, mike is trash — but with a hidden heart of gold that can make him at the very least recyclable from time to time. he’s ambitious, persuasive ( * sometimes manipulative ), & is definitely a serial dater partly due to his fear of commitment. he fears isolation, yet pushes people away so you know ... make that make sense. in his fake memories, he’s lived here all his life & quite enjoys it since he’s conventionally popular.
smol headcanon: ( tw: injury, amputation ) in the game there’s a moment where curiosity can get the better of mike, causing his left pinky & ring finger to get caught in a bear trap, he can either then make several attempts to open the trap or amputate his fingers, my mike does the later. in his current memory he believes he severely injured them in a sporting accident, but alas <3.

luna age-wise is taken a few years after the battle of hogwarts. she however has no memory of ever getting married to rolf scamander nor of their children lorcan & lysander. in fact, hogwarts in her mind wasn’t even a school for witchcraft and wizardry but simply a boarding school that she attended ( we love some ?? angst bless ). luna remembers her friends, but nothing yet of the magic or troubles they all faced having fought with voldemort & his supporters. she has nightmares from time to time, & strange ( more so than usual for luna at least, bless their heart ) things tend to happen during heightened emotions which hint at her magic abilities, but she has yet to remember any of that part of her life.
luna’s not one to pretend to be anyone but themselves, even if most don’t quite understand. luna’s intelligent, a non-conformist, & someone who’s quite perceptive, noticing many things that others may not. she’s always in her own little world, & if she finds the topic of conversation boring luna’s been known to drift off into own thoughts. her father is one of the most important people, & if anyone has anything negative to say her usual quirky demeanor is quickly replaced with anger ( this in turn, also applies to those they deem close ). despite the harsh judgements of others, luna’s noncritical of others. luna may have a hard time making friends but those she has, she’d do anything for. <3

johanna slowly managed to settle into a somewhat normal life after the rebellion. she visited the friends that she, much to her surprise, met along the way. though her guard always remained high, but a bit lower with a few select individuals. however one day she woke up in a hotel room in ivywood with all of her memories still in tact. confused, she tried to remain in the shadows as johanna learned all that she could, which unfortunately for her wasn’t much. worried it has something to deal with snow’s followers rebelling back, she’s been a bit of an ominous presence, waiting to find someone she knows or to find more information before her fight instincts kick in ( which ... knowing her they always do ). even so she can be rather sarcastic & blunt, if she doesn’t like you, you’ll know. while exhausted™ ( & that being an understatement ) from everything she’s gone through, johanna is never one to give up a fight, even when she have nothing left. upon hearing some others don’t have all their memories however, she may perhaps be a bit jealous, but still will want to help, though in a way she doesn’t wish for anyone to be able to remember all that they’ve gone through.

IVYWOOD
After winning the first fight with Pennywise, instead of moving to Portand, Beverly & her aunt moved to Ivywood. While sad to leave her friends, with everything that happened in Derry it was a massive relief to get away. Much like the novel/movies, as the years passed on she remembered less & less of the horror stories she once knew. Beverly remembers all of the loser’s club, how great of friends they were — more so faces than names & how she felt about them. But It ?? Her memories aren’t quite as clear, though the more she runs into the Losers here, the clearer her memories of It during the first battle are ( tw: nightmares/night terrors, clown mention, death ).
The reunion of the Losers 27 years later, the 2nd battle with It, and all that would’ve changed with that has been forgotten. Each night she wakes up in a sweat, voice sore from screaming at the visions of a clown, the death of two friends, both in horrific ways. She imagines herself older, caught in a marriage to a man just like her father, of a woman who lost her resilience & accepted her fate, as bleak as it was. Bev’s grateful every time she wakes that those are just dreams. However, little does she know they’re visions of what was once part of her future. When the nightmares are particularly bad she grabs a postcard she’s kept with her all this time, the poem written on in always a comfort.
It took many years to feel comfortable in her skin, to let ginger locks grow past her shoulders once again. While still dealing with her childhood, mainly by avoiding it, she’s better. Always adventurous there’s almost nothing that she wouldn’t try on a dare. Beverly may be a bit guarded at first, but once the walls are chipped down she’s a friend for life. She’d do anything for her friends — especially when it comes to the Loser’s Club. Her love of fashion & tailoring her own clothes only grew & she’s started to make a career out of it. Bev studied fashion design in college & is currently with a major fashion designer until she’s ready to start her own line.
