Toni playfully nudged the other with her elbow. “You’re not gonna sing?” She chuckled, looking back over to where they were setting up an impromptu karaoke stage. “I feel like you’re the type to go all out on Destiny’s Child.” Seems like they were trying to set up lights now; It never occurred to her that they would take these get togethers so seriously with props and stages.

Toni leaned over, looking into the dark-haired girl’s drink. Two manicured nails dipped into the cup, fishing the bug out before quickly whipping it onto the ground. She looked back up at Tatum, face flushing from embarrassment. “Now you don’t have to.”

Patches of grass and gravel crunched underneath Toni’s boots as she looked for a spot to set up her blankets and snacks. Most of the good spots had been taken by others who had arrived earlier than she had, so now she was completely determined to find a spot that was good enough.

She had brought ‘pigs in a blanket,’ as explained to her by Liv. Cocktail weenies wrapped in crescent dough — It was an easy recipe she had learned when she first started being invited to shows and their subsequent after parties. It made a good first impression. They were cheap and easy to make, and everyone seemed to enjoy them, so somewhere down the line they became a staple for Toni to bring to events.

The weather was cold for it being May in Florida. Sixty degrees is not ideal, but it’s times like these that Toni is grateful for being partnered with a clothing brand. She was dressed very comfortably, an animal print hoodie hung loosely from her frame, SPLX branded sweatpants to top off the cozy outfit. Her hair was still curled from Dynamite the night before - albeit pulled up haphazardly so she could put her blankets down - and her face was stripped of the dramatic red lip she had become known for.

A ‘Trader Joe’s’ branded tote bag was dropped onto the ground in front of her. She pulled out a large blanket to lay on the dirt, another to wrap around her shoulders. While making her way outside, Toni managed to throw a couple of snacks and drinks into her bag. Thus, with a ‘thump’ of her landing butt-first onto the blanket, she had firmly planted herself in a spot where she would stay for the rest of the night.

Toni followed Megan closely behind. They had wrestled and had brief interactions outside of the ring, but it never occurred to Toni how much taller the other woman was; she didn’t tower over her, but there was a noticeable difference in height.

Sliding into her chair, Toni briefly looked over the signs behind the bar. Their specials were listed. “I’ll probably start with a vodka soda.” It was a basic order compared to Megan’s own knowledgeable choice, but it gave her enough time to look at her options more thoroughly.

Toni folded her sunglasses and placed them on the table. The bar wasn’t empty, but it wasn’t crowded like other places would be. It was a good atmosphere in order to get to know her… hm. Was this a date? Could she consider Megan her date for tonight? No, no, this was just two coworkers meeting for drinks. Right?

Toni's cheeks flushed, but it was partially covered by the sunglasses she wore. Toni often got compliments on social media, but to get them face-to-face by a particularly beautiful woman is ... much different. She coughed slightly in an attempt to get her mind from wandering and get back to the present. "Thank you. You look..." Toni paused, placing a finger to her lips in an attempt to think of a word. "Is it too forward to say you look ravishing?" Her eyebrow quirked up just slightly above her glasses, her fake trans-atlantic accent peeking out to accentuate her words. It was less of a question and more of a statement. Before she could overthink what she was saying, she tilted her head towards the door. "Shall we head inside?"

I think it will be 99.9% animated films, so you don’t have anything to worry about. I’m thinking of bringing little cocktail weenies — The ones wrapped in dough.. Are you bringing anything fun?

Who would Toni be without the title or her timeless persona? The thought swirled around in her head like a song stuck on replay. The reactions of others were slowly creeping into her mind. ‘What if the title is stripped away from me and I lose everything? Would they even put my picture on show posters anymore?’ After every match the questions become louder. It’s easy to push aside for the short-term.

It gets a bit lonely when everyone around you is coupled up. Toni continuously puts herself in her own way when it comes to wanting to open up and be with someone. The flirting gets her by, but it’s not the way she wants to have someone fall for her. She’s a pure romantic at heart and believes in meet-cutes and love at first sight — it just hasn’t happened to her yet.

Wrestling is her passion, and it shows through her skill and knowledge ; a gimmick can’t stop that from showing.
