Give yourself time. If it takes longer for you to do everyday things, it’s okay. if you need longer to make a decision, it’s okay as well. if it takes longer for you to get out of bed or to gather motivation to do things, it is okay. please do not rush yourself, please do not feel bad because others need less time than you do, it is okay. you decide how much time you need and you set the pace. and guess what? that is totally okay. Give yourself time. ♡
I’ve been trying to do a reset after a mentally draining few weeks.
I ended up cleaning my depression room last night, which I’m really happy about. Then I burned some incense afterward. I plan on cleansing my entire space later this week to help with the vibes.
Now I’m gonna get back on track with my physical health because I feel like my PCOS has really been flaring up this past week. I know I need to give myself some grace though. The last couple weeks have just been about surviving and taking it one day at a time. Now I’m ready to get back to focusing on my goals.
I don’t know who needs to hear this right now, but your progress is not ruined after 1 bad day, 2 bad days, maybe even a month or more of bad days. Everything you experienced and learned during that time is valuable and essential for your growth. Forgive yourself, and try again.

medications don’t work the same for everyone.
therapy doesn’t work the same for everyone.
self care doesn’t look the same for everyone.
mental illness doesn’t look the same for everyone.
recovery is a personal process and shouldn’t be compared to anyone else’s. we are all healing from different things. just because someone else says, “my life has been bad too, and i got over it”, that in no way means you’ve tried less. you will grow at your own pace.
