First Snow: A Blackwatch!Genji X Reader SFW Story

First Snow: A Blackwatch!Genji x Reader SFW Story

This wasn't a request, just something I came up with on my own to start things off. :) --- You stand from afar outside of the base, watching him. Clouds covered the sky, and snow fell from above; lightly at first, then gradually more intense. It was the first snowfall of the year, and if it kept up, it might stick. For Genji, this was his first time experiencing snow in this body. He was wearing nothing but a black hoodie over his cybernetics. This wasn't an issue for him, he normally didn't wear any clothing at all. He didn't perceive heat and cold in the same way anymore. He stretched both of his arms out and flexed his hands gingerly. In his left still flesh arm; he felt what he expected. Cold particles brushing against it and turning to water on impact, a growing feeling of numbness the longer he stood there. In his right cybernetic arm however, he only felt a muted sensation. The sensors in his arm were telling his brain that something was making contact with it, but he didn't have the same sensations of wet and numbness that his left did. He kneels down and sticks his whole right hand into the layer of snow forming at the ground and keeps it there. It is only after he doesn't pull it back out again after several minutes that you finally decide to approach Genji. "How long are you going to do that for?" you ask. He finally gets up and turns to face you. He isn't surprised by your question, he knew you were watching him the entire time. "Until I feel what I should be feeling." came the matter of fact reply. "Does it help?" you ask as he flexes his cybernetic hand several more times. He scoffs, and then suddenly grabs both of your hands and takes them into his own. You flinch and recoil from the sensation, the feeling of cold is overwhelming. Just how long had he been out here for before you found him?

He rolls his eyes, as if you had just asked a question with an obvious answer. "No, it doesn't. If I was normal, I would react as you did. But I don't feel things the same way you do anymore. I don't even feel your hands on mine the same way." You look down, unsure of what to say. Genji continues. "But that's the point isn't it? I'm not meant to feel. I was rebuilt to be a weapon. The less I feel, the easier it is to do my job." "Don't... don't talk about yourself like that, please..." you beg. It wasn't the first time he had spoken of himself like that. Every time he did, you hated it. Hated how he dehumanized himself like that. "It's the truth, and every day proves that more and more." he responds coldly. He turns and begins walking away. You stand there for a moment, then chase after him and wrap your arms around him, placing your head against the back of his faceplate. The cold metal sends chills down your spine, but you hold firm. "What're you doing?!" he demanded, but didn't move to break away. You move your right arm up and begin to stroke his hair. "Can you feel that?" you ask. "... Mostly." "And how does it make you feel?" "Embarrassed." You move your left hand over his chest, attempting to feel his heartbeat. You find it. A steady rhythm that grows faster the longer you keep your hand there. "Weapons don't have hearts, Genji. They don't have emotions. You do. That's how I know you're still human inside. That's how you know you're still human." There's a silence between you two. You move your right hand back down and place it over your left, so that both hands are now over his heart area. After a while, Genji raises his left human hand puts it on top of yours. "I feel lost." he begins; "On missions, it's easy, my anger focuses me on the task at hand. But afterwards, in the quiet, I feel like I lose a part of myself every time. Like there's nothing else." You say nothing.

He turns to face you. For the first time that day, you get a good look at his eyes. Normally Genji looked angry all the time. The red tends to do that. But when you're this close, you see something more. Pain. "Some days you're the only thing that reminds me I'm still human." he finishes. "I'll be there to remind you every day if you want me to. You're as human as I am; as anybody else here is. There's more to you than killing. You just have to find it again." That kind of just came out. You felt unsure whether that was what he needed to hear, but you notice the muscles in his face relax. "Thank you." he says quietly. You respond with a smile, but you're unable to hold it for long. The biting wind causes your teeth to start chattering. You look away, and then turn back when you hear a slight chuckle. "Did you just laugh at me?" you ask playfully. "Perhaps." he responds in kind. Your face drops into a slight pout.

"Come, let's get back inside, you must be freezing." he continues. He offers you his human arm, which you take, and he gently leads you back towards warmth. There will be other bad days, you're sure of that. But for today, you feel like you legitimately made a difference to Genji. And he's grateful for it.

Nightmare Cayde-6 x Reader

Nightmare Cayde-6 X Reader

Becoming a Guardian was the best thing that had ever happened to you. Protecting the universe was always exciting. And, you had made so many friends during your adventures. But, there was a downside. You often had hellish nightmares. They were bad at first, not allowing you to sleep. But after awhile, you managed to get a four to six hours of sleep every night.

Tonight’s nightmare, though, was not one that was easy to forget.

In your nightmare, you had been assigned to hunting down a small group of bandits out in the EDZ. Zavala said that it was going to be quick and easy. You gathered your weapons and flew to the location of the bandit camp. After scouting the area, you took out your hand cannon and advanced on the group. You quickly took out the snipers and rolled behind a rock as the rest of the bandits shot at you. After reloading, you activated your Golden Gun and took out the remaining bandits. Or so you thought.

A few bandits returned from a run and saw you taking out their group. You hadn’t noticed them when they arrived, and they easily cornered you. They demanded you surrender, which you did, but you quickly sent out an SOS. You threw down all your weapons and put your hands up.

The bandits rushed towards you and tied your hands behind your back. They whispered about selling you to some Guardian hunter and threw you against a rocky wall in their camp. You groaned in pain and just sat there, knowing someone was going to come to your aid soon.

And indeed, someone did. A ship flew over the camp and as it did, a certain Hunter Vanguard appeared in front of everyone.

The bandits freaked out upon seeing Cayde. They quickly pulled out their auto rifles and shot him.

“Hey (Y/N)~! I got your distress signal and I’m here to rescue you!” Cayde shouted heroically as he dove for cover.

“Thank god! I was getting bored!” You called back. You heard Cayde chuckle and poke out from behind a tree to shoot the enemies. The few bandits remaining began to run away, trying to escape their death. But, Cayde quickly shot them down before they could get too fair.

He came out from behind his hiding spot and jogged over to you.

“Don’t worry princess, your knight is here!” He said when he got to you. He helped you stand up and untied your wrists.

“Thanks Cayde.” You said which stretching. Cayde winked.

“Alrighty lets head back to the Tower. I, sadly, have more paperwork to do.” He whined. You laughed and bent down to grab your weapons. When you stood back up, your eyes widened.

“Cayde! GET DOWN!” You screamed. Cayde turned to see what was behind him. There, was an injured bandit with a hand gun pointed straight at him. A shot rang through the air and the next thing you knew, Cayde was on the ground.

“No!” You yelled, running to him. But, you couldn’t reach him. The distance between you two kept growing. Cayde groaned in pain and kept calling for you, while you shouted his name back. You heard menacing laugh in the distance before you tripped. You fell and screamed as the world slowly grew black.

You jolted awake. Your breathing was wild and you were covered in sweat. Ghost appeared next to you.

“(Y/N)? Are you alright?” Ghost asked. He floated towards you and nuzzled your neck. You pulled him into a small hug and tried to calm your breathing.

“I… just had a nightmare.” You whispered to Ghost. It made a sound of acknowledgment and pressed himself tighter into the hug. This lasted for awhile until you fully calmed down and got up. You needed some air. Quickly changing into a casual outfit, you wandered outside.

You walked to the courtyard of the Tower and leaned in the rails to look over the city. A breeze blew through your hair and you exhaled, the nightmare was still weighing on you. It felt so realistic. Losing someone so close to you, someone you loved, was something you always feared.

You shuddered after recalling the dream again. You needed to see Cayde. Make sure he was alive and safe. You turned and sprinted to his room to find the exo. You passed a few Guardians who were sitting around chatting, probably unable to sleep too. You reached his door, and paused. You didn’t want to wake him, but you needed to see him. After knocking a few times and getting no answer, your heart sank. Your Light flickered in sadness. Ghost appeared after feeling your distress.

“Hey, maybe he’s in his usual spot in the hanger?” He said. You nodded slowly before jogging to the hanger.

Upon reaching the area, you let out a huge sigh of relief. There was Cayde, leaning over a map on his desk. Sundance was floating next to him and when she saw you, she bumped the exo.

“Hm? What is it buddy?” He asked. He looked at his Ghost and turned his head to follow her gaze. His eyes brightened up when he was you.

“(Y/N)! What brings you…” He trailed off upon seeing the state you were in. He could sense how dim your Light was, indicating that something was seriously wrong. He made his way over to you and checked you for any injuries. When he finished, his bright blue eyes met yours. His face took on a worried look when he saw leftover tear marks.

“What happened (Y/N)?” he whispered while taking your hand. You looked down and quickly broke into tears again. Cayde gently took you into his arms and held you close as you cried. He was warm and you easily melted into his arms. You gripped onto him as if he was going to vanish into thin air if you didn’t. Cayde whispered soothing words into your ear, reminding you that the two of you were safe. Sundance and your Ghost floated near, watching your and Cayde’s Light intertwine. After what seemed like years, you let go of him and dried your face. Cayde stepped back and put his hands on his hips.

“So, are you going to tell me what happened?” He asked. He grabbed a nearby chair and sat down. You stood in front of him and took a breath. Sundance settled down in Cayde’s lap and your Ghost rested on your shoulder.

“I just… had a really bad nightmare.” You said quietly. Cayde nodded.

“What happened in it?” He said. You lowered your head and shook it. You did not want to share what you saw. Cayde grunted as he stood up. He grabbed your arm and slowly traced little circle on your skin with his thumb.

“Come on, (Y/N). Please tell me.” He pleaded. You looked into his eyes. He was sad and extremely worried about you. You nodded.

“It started off fine. I was on an easy mission. Then, things got out of hand. I needed help and you showed up to help me. You saved me but then…” You gulped and Cayde rubbed your arm, encouraging you to go on.

“And then, you got shot… I tried to run to you, b-but I couldn’t get to you… It was terrible. And it felt so real.”

Cayde hummed and took a step back. You looked up at him with watery eyes. He placed a hand on your cheek and lightly wiped your eyes. You leaned into his touch.

“Well, that was pretty awful. I can’t believe I died in such a stupid way.” Cayde said while laughing quietly. You giggled a little too. Cayde smiled and took you in his arms again. You blushed when he placed his forehead against yours.

“But, I’m here (Y/N). And I’m not going anywhere. I have to protect the galaxy, you know. And, I would never leave you alone.”

You looked up at him and tightened your hug. Cayde chuckled and squeezed you back. Sundance and Ghost looked happily at each other, as your Light had been restored to its usual brightness.

You went to move away from the hug, but Cayde tightened his hold. You gave him a questioning look before he pecked your forehead. Your face blew up into a huge blush and hid in his chest. Cayde laughed.

“Thank you for helping me feel better, Cayde.” You said, still hiding.

“Anytime (Y/N). I’m always here for my favorite Guardian.”

After hearing that, you drew all your courage and got up on your tiptoes. You pressed your lips to Cayde’s faceplates. His blue eyes widen, and his face began to heat up. After a second, he responded to your kiss and pressed against your lips. You guys shared a long kiss before pulling apart.

Your face was all red and Cayde’s temperature had risen pretty high. You giggled at the embarrassed exo. Sundance also laughed at her Guardian. Cayde gave her a semi-mean glare before turning back to you.

“Alright, well, how about I treat you to some late night ramen?” Cayde asked after he recovered from embarrassment. You nodded happily. Cayde took your hand in his and the two of you strolled to the courtyard to eat.

Your Ghosts followed behind, happy to see their Guardians’ Light brighter than it had been ever before.

Genji is always showing up to your house when he can, like a story cat after food he's a simple man after your attention. Working for overwatch has its long hours and limited days off, and of course, when he gets time to himself, Genji would much rather spend it with you. The same goes for any break he has, got work done early? He's running over to your apartment, and he'll climb the whole building to meet you at your window.

It's not uncommon to find a knock at the window to see it's your cyberninja boyfriend there waiting for you or a knock at your door at 3am. Genji always likes to be near you, especially when he's having a rough day at work or phantom pain is making it hard for him to focus.

Time with you is just what he needs to feel at ease. Meditation is good and all, but nothing compares to nuzzling his face into his livers neck as they play with his hair.

Genji was okay with being by himself, but noe that he has a taste of you, he's never going to stop craving the warmth and comfort you bring to him.

Just confess already!!!

Hazard x Hopeless Romantic! Reader

A/N: This was going to be an oc x cannon fic but tbh I know some people feel like this for others and went WHY NOT

Summary: JUST TELL HIM ALREADY

Just Confess Already!!!
Just Confess Already!!!
Just Confess Already!!!

You were nursing a cup of coffee at the dimly lit bar the Phreaks called their second home. The music was low, a rare lull in the usual chaos that followed the gang. Across the room, Hazard was playing darts, his sharp eyes focused on the target. Every so often, he’d crack a joke or smirk at something Boomslang said, his laugh echoing in the space.

You couldn’t stop staring, your heart doing that stupid fluttering thing it always did when he was near. But no matter how much you felt, you couldn’t bring yourself to say anything.

“You’re pathetic, you know that?”

The sudden voice beside you made you jump, nearly spilling your coffee. You turned to see Boomslang leaning against the bar, her ever-present smirk firmly in place.

“Excuse me?” you said, raising an eyebrow.

“Don’t play dumb” she said, gesturing toward Hazard with his drink. “You’ve been making goo-goo eyes at him for months. Hell, maybe even years. When are you gonna grow a spine and tell him?”

You groaned, burying your face in your hands. “Not you too.”

“Oh, definitely me” she said, sliding into the stool next to you. “And you’re lucky, ‘cause I’m the nicest one in this group. If Susie were here, she’d—”

“If Susie were here, she’d what?”

You flinched as Susie appeared out of nowhere, her boots clunking against the floor as she crossed her arms and gave you a pointed look. “Don’t stop on my account, Boom. Go ahead, finish the thought.”

Boomslang grinned. “She’d give you hell, obviously. Right, Susie?”

Susie rolled her eyes and turned her attention to you. “Look, we’re not trying to be jerks. But seriously, what’s stopping you? Hazard isn’t a mind reader.”

“He doesn’t need to be” you muttered, staring into your coffee. “It’s obvious he’s not interested.”

Susie snorted. “Are you kidding me? Do you know how many times he’s asked me if you’re okay when you’re not around? Or how often he gets distracted during missions ‘cause he’s worried about you?”

Boomslang chimed in, “Not to mention the fact that he’s actually tolerable when you’re around. That’s a miracle all on its own.”

You frowned, your heart pounding. “You’re exaggerating.”

“Am I?” Susie leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a serious tone. “Listen, I’ve been around enough people to know when someone’s holding back. Hazard’s got his issues, sure, but he cares about you. Probably more than he even realizes. You just have to give him a reason to admit it.”

You shook your head, your stomach twisting. “It’s not that simple.”

“Nothing worth having ever is” Boomslang said, clinking her glass against yours. “But you’re running out of time, sweetheart. Guys like Hazard don’t stick around forever.”

Susie nodded, her expression uncharacteristically soft. “I’m not saying he’s gonna disappear tomorrow, but life happens fast in our world. If you wait too long, you might lose your chance. And trust me, regret’s a bitch.”

You glanced back at Hazard. He was laughing now, leaning against the dartboard as another member of the crew tried (and failed) to beat his score. He looked so carefree in that moment, so alive.

“I don’t even know how I’d do it” you admitted quietly.

Boomslang grinned. “That’s the easy part. You walk up to him and say, ‘Hey, Hazard, I’m into you.’ Boom. Done.”

Susie smacked her arm. “Ignore her. Just… be honest. Tell him how you feel, no games, no excuses. If he feels the same, great. If he doesn’t… well, at least you’ll know, right?”

You swallowed hard, the weight of their words settling over you. They were right—you’d been holding back out of fear, but that fear wasn’t going to disappear on its own. If you didn’t take the risk, you’d never know what could have been.

“I’ll think about it” you said, your voice shaky but determined.

Boomslang raised her glass in a mock toast. “That’s all we’re asking for. Just don’t take too long, yeah?”

Susie smirked. “And if you chicken out, don’t worry—we’ll happily push you in his direction.”

You groaned, but a small smile tugged at your lips. “Thanks… I think.”

As they walked away, you took a deep breath, your eyes drifting back to Hazard. The fear was still there, but so was something else—hope.

Maybe, just maybe, it was time to take the leap.

Just Confess Already!!!

The noise from the bar faded as you stepped out onto the balcony, the cool night air wrapping around you like a welcome reprieve. You sighed, leaning on the railing, the weight of your thoughts pressing down on you. This was the only quiet spot, far from the crowd—perfect for what you were about to do.

You pulled your jacket tighter around you, gathering the courage once more. You couldn’t keep pushing it aside—tonight had to be the night. You were tired of hiding your feelings, of pretending you didn’t care. Hazard deserved to know, no matter what came next.

Just as you were about to speak, the door creaked open behind you. You turned to see Hazard stepping out onto the balcony, his eyes scanning the space for a moment before settling on you.

“What’re you doin’ out here?” he asked, his tone casual but curious.

You shrugged, playing with the hem of your sleeve. “Needed some air. A lot things have been… on my mind.”

Hazard’s brow furrowed slightly as he approached, his usual cool expression softening. “Ye a’right?”

You hesitated for a second, then let out a nervous laugh. “No, actually. I’ve been kinda a mess.”

Hazard stepped closer, now standing beside you, his presence quiet but steady. “A mess? What’s got you in such a state?”

You sighed, turning to face him fully. “Look, I didn’t come out here to waste time. I needed to say something.”

Hazard’s sharp gaze sharpened. “Aye? What’s on your mind, then?”

You took a deep breath, gathering every ounce of courage you had left. “I’ve been wanting to tell you something for a while. And I can’t keep pretending anymore… I like you, Hazard. I like you more than I should.”

His lips twitched into a subtle smirk, and you could tell he wasn’t surprised—but it still made your nerves tangle. “Oh?” he murmured, his voice soft but with that familiar teasing edge.

“Yes” you continued, feeling more confident now that the words were out. “And… I don’t want to pretend it doesn’t mean anything anymore. I care about you.”

Hazard’s smirk grew, but it wasn’t mocking—more like… intrigued. “You’ve been carryin’ this for a while, haven’t you?”

You nodded, unable to hide the blush rising in your cheeks. “Yes. And I couldn’t hold it in anymore. I—”

Before you could say more, Hazard took a step forward, closing the small distance between you. His expression softened, his gaze steady. “You should’ve told me sooner, then.”

Your breath hitched. “I was scared. What if I messed things up?”

Hazard chuckled softly, shaking his head. “You’re braver than most I’ve met, Ach, I've seen ye punch guys twice yer size Luv. But you don’t need to worry ‘bout that.”

You frowned slightly, confused. “What do you mean?”

He sighed, running a hand through his hair before locking eyes with you again. “I’ve known for a while now… I’ve been feelin’ the same.”

Your heart skipped, the weight of his words settling in. “What?”

Hazard gave you a small, amused smirk. “Aye, I’ve been feelin’ the same way about you.”

For a moment, you were speechless. Your mind couldn’t process it.

“You’ve felt this too?” you whispered, disbelief washing over you.

“Aye” Hazard replied, his expression serious now, but with that familiar quiet confidence. “Just didn’t want to ruin what we had.”

You blinked, your mind reeling. You couldn’t believe it—he’d felt the same for so long, and yet, he’d never said a word. And now, here you were, finally hearing it from him.

“ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!” you exclaimed, throwing your hands up in disbelief. “Do you have any idea the amount of nights I’ve stayed up thinking about you!? I mean I must look like a damn dog waiting for y—”

But before you could finish, Hazard stepped closer, his hand gently cupping your cheek. He leaned in, cutting you off mid-rant with a soft, sure kiss on the lips—firm but tender, grounding and real.

Your eyes widened in surprise, but your breath caught in your throat, melting into the kiss. It was unlike anything you’d imagined—something more, something you hadn’t realized you needed.

He pulled back just slightly, his Scottish accent thick and warm as he murmured, “Now, does that feel like ruinin’ anything to you?”

You blinked, your heart fluttering wildly. No—this felt right. More than right. And you couldn’t help but smile, your hands gripping the edge of his shirt slightly.

“No… it doesn’t” you whispered, feeling a warmth bloom in your chest.

Hazard smirked again, leaning in just enough so his breath brushed against your ear. “Good. ‘Cause you’ve got me now, and I’m not goin’ anywhere.”

You felt a rush of relief—of certainty—that this wasn’t just a fleeting moment. This was real.

And finally, you let yourself believe it.

A digital illustration of Cayde-6 and Sundance from Destiny 2 as blue ghostly apparitions. They are leaning against ruins in the EDZ, where vegetation and trees are lush. In the distance the shard of The Traveler can be seen. Fireflies are also shown through zipping orange lights and those that are more still. The illustration is detailed and painterly, textured brushstrokes combined with digital gradients and transparency especially on the characters.

My entry for @d2artevents’s Solar Embrace Zine!

I think it is only fitting for me to paint something more laid back and featuring fireflies and a lovable space cowboy and his Ghost.

Also I was listening to a lot of Ori music. lol

Genji x GN! Reader

“(Y/N)…! Dr. Ziegler is looking for you! It’s urgent!” It was a nurse who barged into your room that let night. And even despite how late it was, you remained awake, studying your notes and using coffee to stay awake. You were a student of Swiss Doctor Angela Ziegler, learning how to preform medicine the way she does. It was something that had always fascinated you and to finally be able to work at her side was a dream come true.

You weren’t expecting the nurse to come to you so urgently. Usually if Angela needed something from you, she would call you up or tell you before hand when she needed something done. It was odd… and that’s how you know that it was actually urgent. You were quick to get to your feet, tugging on your lab coat on the way after grabbing it from the back of your desk chair on the way out. As you neared the room your mentor was in, the heavy smell of iron hung in the air. You took up a medical mask on the way in, figuring there must be an injured patient inside. A very injured one by the sound of it.

That struck a nervous cord within you. You were a trainee and haven’t worked on any big operations yet. You haven’t even practiced the procedures before. Then again, this must’ve been sudden for Angela too. And she called you for help! So without a second to waste, you turned to walk in the door only to be left frozen in a small state of shock. What had even happened?

The man was bloodied up bad, wounds covering his body. Correction, what was left of it. He was missing over 50% of his body. The only thing left was his torso, his neck and head, and his left arm. Everything else was just gone! “(Y/N)! We need to stop the bleeding!” Angela urged, quickly passing you a pair of gloves as she rushed to your side and back to get anything and everything she could to stop all of the blood.

It was then you realized the heart monitors. He was still alive? I guess the anesthesia and the morphine was helping with this- with the addition of blood transfusions- but still! How hasn’t he died from the blood loss? That must be why Angela is rushing. If there was a chance to save his life then you too would take that chance along side her teacher. You quickly slipped on the gloves and got to work along side the Swiss Doctor, doing quick work of patching up whatever was needed to be patched up.

This process took hours. Many, many long hours. But when you two were done, you got the moment to relax. The sun had came up a couple of hours ago and the both of you were running on little sleep. However, you two couldn’t sleep just yet. You had to complete the operation. You turned to Angela who threw off her gloves into the trash can and moved to the phone hanging on the wall. It sounds like she’s calling the mechanics downstairs. Did she plan to have prosthetics made?

You began to pull off your own gloves and throw them away, allowing your mind to drift into thought. Who was this man? How did he end up like this? Who caused it? What caused it? How was he brought here? How is he still alive? That last one can be answered easily. A damn miracle. He shouldn’t even be alive and shouldn’t have been when he first got here. And yet somehow, that heart monitor continues to steadily beat to its own slow rhythm.

You haven’t even been given the chance to read the records yet, though I guess now would be the time now that everything was stabilized. You straightened your coat and turned to the tablet on the counter and turned it on. It was what the doctors here used to log the patients information and their condition. Any reason they are here or any medical information on them were in the files in the system. You looked at what Angela managed to get down before she had to rush to start the operation. There wasn’t a name on here yet. There was an estimated height and eight based on what’s left of his body. Blood type as well. And then finally there was a synopsis on his current situation.

“(Y/N)? I’m going to order us a coffee to help us stay awake. The mechanics downstairs are making the parts and will ship them up here as soon as possible.” Angela spoke as she placed the phone on its hook. You carefully sat the tablet down and looked to her. “Thank you, Angelia.” A half smile tugged to your lips for only a moment before it fell as you looked to the patient. “Who brought him in here?” You spoke your curiosities out loud before looking back to Angela.

“Our Blackwatch team found him like that on a mission. They were surprised that he was alive just as we were. But I think he’ll pull through, believe it or not. With him stabilized, all we have to do is put the prosthetics in place. Then we can take him off of the anesthesia.” Angela concluded a more simplified version of their plans, though you understood every bit of it. Your training allowed you to know the specifics without being told them. “I want you to coach him through his recovery.” You froze a moment. “Me?”

Angela gave a reassuring smile. “If you are okay with it. I figured it could be another task to help you in your training and to use the skills you already know. Improve whatever you can do you can get better.” You never guided someone through recovery before. It was always Angela or some other senior doctors. But you? A trainee? It made you a bit anxious. However, she was right. It really would held you get better. A sigh left your lips, rubbing your arm. “I’ll give it a try.” Angela placed a hand on your shoulder before checking the time. “Don’t stress. You’ll do great. I’ll go get the coffee.” She patted your shoulder before exiting the room, leaving you and the patient alone.

Angela would return with the coffee a few minutes later, the two of you chatting while you enjoyed the refreshing beverage. It would be a few hours until the parts get delivered to you two, coming in boxes with labels on them. With your empty mugs discarded to the side of the counter, the two of you immediately got to work. You started with the torso and worked outwards, adding the legs and then the arm as you went along. The hard part was connecting the robotic parts to his real body to make sure everything functioned properly on command. Each wire and nerve had to be connected properly or else it may not work.

That process was even longer than the first due to having to put together the individual parts. Screwing in the bolts and fitting in the wires properly so the joints moved smoothly was the goal and hopefully, when he awakens, it’ll be exactly what they achieved. “Alright. This is where I part. I have to go tend to other patients.” Angela spoke as she handed you the tablet and picked up the empty mugs to take back with her. “Make sure you write down everything necessary when he wakes up. I believe in you, (Y/N).” Taking a deep breath, you nodded. “Right. Thank you, Angela.”

Without another word, you were left to the patient alone once again. Only difference is that your teacher wouldn’t be coming back with a mug of coffee. You sat the tablet down temporarily so you could remove the mask that pumped the gases into the man’s lungs, a slight hiss leaving the machine as it was removed. It was placed to the side as you shut off the device it was connected to. Next step? Wait.

Or so you thought. You figured it would be a few hours till he would wake up. Many many hours. But it was only about ten to twenty minutes when a hand shot up and grabbed your arm. It made you jump in surprise, dropping anything you held in your hands. There stared back soft brown hues that were wide with confusion and fear. He was awake. “Who are you?” He was quick to question, his voice hoarse from the previous damage and from not using it.

—————

And that’s it! I may make a part two for this if you all want me to~

A/N: It’s been raining here for a couple of days and what’s better than wrapping yourself in a blanket? Having a bigass bf that can give you twice the warmth.

Summary: Hazard spends time with you at your place

Rainy Days🌧️

────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────

The storm outside raged with a ferocity that rattled the windows of your workshop. Rain lashed against the glass, and the occasional crack of thunder made you jump despite yourself. But inside, the world was warm and quiet, a sanctuary from the chaos beyond.

You sat on the worn couch in the corner of the room, wrapped in a blanket. Beside you, Hazard lounged, his arms draped casually along the back of the couch. His presence was as steadying as the glow of the workshop’s dim lights. You’d never admit it out loud, but moments like this made your heart feel fuller than it had in years.

“Ye´dont need to keep checkin’ the window” he said, his thick Scottish accent rolling over you like the warmest whiskey. “The storm’s not gonna burst in here an’ take us by surprise.”

You gave him a playful glare. “Maybe I’m just making sure you’re not going to bolt back outside for some harebrained stunt.”

Hazard’s laugh was deep and rumbling, like distant thunder, but far more comforting. “Aye, I’ve done my share of daft things, but I will not be leavin’ yer side tonight. ‘Specially when it’s this cozy.”

You rolled your eyes, but the faint blush creeping up your neck betrayed your amusement. “Cozy, huh? You’re just saying that because you’re hogging most of the blanket.”

“Ach, come here then” he said, shifting to drape the blanket over you properly. His arm slid around your shoulders as he pulled you closer. “Better?”

You hesitated for a moment, then let yourself relax against him. The solid warmth of his chest, the faint scent of smoke and metal that always seemed to cling to him, made your worries melt away.

“Much better” you murmured, the words barely audible above the storm.

“Ye know lass, I’ve been thinkin’” he began, his voice softer now. “In all my years, I’ve seen explosions, chaos, an’ more close calls than I care to count. But nothin’—an’ I mean nothin’—compares to moments like this.”

You tilted your head to look up at him, his expression uncharacteristically serious. “You mean... moments where you’re not actively blowing things up?”

Hazard snorted, shaking his head. “Aye, somethin’ like that. You’ve got a way of makin’ me feel... grounded. An’ that’s not somethin’ I’m used to.”

Your chest tightened at his words, a warmth spreading through you that had nothing to do with the blanket. “You’re not so bad yourself” you said softly, your fingers lightly tracing the edge of his prosthetic arm. “When you’re not driving me up the wall, that is.”

Hazard chuckled again, the sound vibrating through you. “Ach, admit it, ye love it. Keeps life interestin’, eh?”

“Maybe” you said, a small smile tugging at your lips.

He tightened his hold on you, resting his chin atop your head. “Ye’re somethin’ else, ye know that?”

The storm outside seemed distant now, its fury no match for the warmth of his embrace. Minutes passed in comfortable silence, the two of you simply enjoying the closeness. His fingers absently traced patterns along your arm, a small, soothing gesture that made your eyelids grow heavy.

“Have ye ever thought about what’s next?” he murmured suddenly, his voice low and thoughtful.

“What do you mean?” you asked, tilting your head slightly to look up at him.

“This life, the missions, the danger... it’s a wild ride. But sometimes, I think about somethin’ quieter. Maybe a small place of our own. No storms, no explosions. Just us.” His gaze softened, a rare vulnerability showing through.

Your heart swelled at his words, the thought of a future with him warming you more than the blanket ever could. You reached up, brushing a stray strand of hair from his face. “That sounds perfect” you whispered.

His lips curved into a soft smile, and he leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. “Perfect.”

And as the storm continued its futile assault outside, the two of you stayed wrapped in each other’s arms, dreaming of a tomorrow filled with peace and quiet moments just like this.

could I ask for a one shot request of a cayde x f!reader with the prompt "Score for me. I'm up one!" "Where did you learn to count?! We're even." please owo?

Snail, I read this and I immediately thought of Cayde and the reader meeting up at a bar after a long day of work, paying darts, making bets, taking drinks, getting tipsy… just lots of fun vibes.

perma tag list : @mail-me-a-snail @shins-wife @speed-boop @threevie @squadnos @daggerthegamer @reaped-winnower @lady-efriyeet @eris-horn [for some reason it won’t let me tag you :c]

Cayde-6 x F!Guardian Reader - Bullseye

Saw you re-enter Tower airspace.  Meet me at the bar?  20:00.

That message was from Cayde and you smiled to yourself as your Ghost read it off to you.  The two of you met up regularly, it had been your ritual every day since the Red War, but you’d just stepped foot in the Last City after a three-day long mission.  Needless to say, he missed you.  And you missed him.

You didn’t even stop at your apartment to change.  You wanted to see him so, so badly, you practically ran to meet him there.  You went straight past the Postmaster and practically ran to the elevator that led down into the Last City.  The air was warm with the coming summer when your feet hit the pavement.  A short walk into the City later, you were shouldering your way through the door of one of the many local bars within a mile of the Tower.  The moment the door closed behind you, Cayde-6 looked over his shoulder directly at you.  His expression brightened; you smiled as you strode across the room towards him.

“There she is!”  Cayde cheered as he pulled back a stool for you.  “Come in, come in, take a seat.  How’s my favorite Guardian doing?”

You laughed softly at his grandiose gestures.  “I’m fine, Cayde,” you laughed.  “A bit tired maybe.  Happy to be home…”

Cayde ordered you a drink as you sat down on the barstool.  “It’s been quiet here without you.”

“What are you saying, Cayde,” you teased, “did you miss me?”

Cayde chuckled as you took a sip of the drink that was placed in front of you.  “What can I say?  You take all of the excitement with you when you leave.  Tower’s boring without you ‘round.”

You hummed softly as you leaned over and bumped your shoulder against his.  “So, what’s the plan for tonight, Cayde?  Or are you just going to keep feeding me drinks until I’m drunk?”

“Darts.”

“What?”

Cayde waved a hand out in front of your face and there were red and black darts between his fingers.  “A good ol’ fashioned game of darts.  Loser takes a shot.”

Your skeptical face slowly grew into a smile, and you downed the rest of the drink in front of you.  “Alright, I’m game.  I’m going to kick your ass though.”

The night went on, the drinks were flowing, the bar slowly grew more crowded and louder with music, chatter and laughter.  You and Cayde had spent nearly three hours at the darts board, betting drinks, laughing, chatting, catching up.  You twirled the dart in your fingers before balancing it between two and tossed it at the board.  You cheered and hooted when it made its mark, though it wasn’t a bullseye, it was a high score.  Alcohol had started to intoxicate your brain and you were tipsy.  “Beat that one, Cayde!” You laughed as you leaned back against the table next to you.

“Oh I will, Guardian, this match is gonna be all mine, just you watch.”

He tossed his dart and it landed on the bullseye.  He laughed and threw up his hands.  “Score for me! I’m one up!”

You laughed as you walked back over to him.  “Where did you learn how to count? We’re even.  This is matchpoint, cowboy.”  You picked up the last two darts and walked back over to the Exo to hand him his.  “How ‘bout we throw at the same time, yeah?”

“Fine, fine, but this one is still mine,” he teased as he took the dart out of your hand.

“Mmm… I’d like to see that.”

You two leveled your arms and counted down from three, then tossed at the same time.  And this time you hit the bullseye.

“Yes!  Victory is mine!”  You hooted as you jumped up in celebration.  “Time for you to drink!”

Cayde laughed as he picked up a shot from the table and toasted to your victory before he downed the drink.  “C’mon, Guardian, let’s get outta here.”  Cayde’s hand placed gently on your back as the two of you walked out of the bar into the night air, which had grown nice and cool for a summer evening.  Once you two were alone, his arm wrapped around your back and his hand rested on your hip.

“I had fun tonight,” you said softly.  “I missed you.  Ever since the war…” You sighed softly as you leaned your head on his shoulder.  “I don’t like being away from you either.”

“It’s not easy on me, either,” Cayde admitted.  “Zavala may have given me some more flexibility when it comes to leaving the Tower, but I worry when you’re out there without me.”

“Well then maybe you should come with me more often, I could use a partner.”

“Y/N, you’re one of the best the Vanguard has, you’re just sayin’ that so you can spend more time with me.”

You laughed.  “Is that such a bad thing?”

“Not at all.”  Cayde’s hand squeezed your side gently as he pressed his mouth piece against your forehead.  The two of you were approaching the Tower elevator where you would part ways for the night so he could attend to his duties and you could get some rest.  “Not at all, y/n.”

Can I request Ramattra, Genji and Hanzo headcannons of them saying 'I love you' for the first time? 💗

Here we go! Hope they're okay! Again, I apologise it took awhile to get to!

Can I Request Ramattra, Genji And Hanzo Headcannons Of Them Saying 'I Love You' For The First Time? 💗

RAMATTRA

He wasn’t used to love, but when he felt strange, feeling his circuitry warming up just at the thought of you, he would scoff.

At first, he would dismiss the entire notion, never even letting it see the light of day.

His sensors would go off every time he passed you, his systems heating up rapidly.

He’d do his best to avoid you, keeping his distance whenever possible.

Overtime, however, he was beginning to feel drawn to you, not wanting to leave your side no matter what you were doing.

He was like a clingy child, not wanting to let go of you no matter the circumstances.

His feelings only grew as the days went by and he felt you shift in the same direction.

The two of you would get closer each day but when you uttered the three words “I love you” he felt his omnic heart almost stop.

He wasn’t sure what to say.

Conflicted feelings rose - Did he love you? Is that the right term? Can a human and omnic really love each other?

He noticed you were absent after not responding back to you, and he felt guilty.

No matter what he would try, nothing seemed to make you happy. Small gifts, flowers, even handmade items didn’t give you the spark he had hoped.

He felt like he had fucked up, but a few nights after his last attempt to make you smile, he sat down and thought long and hard about everything.

Over the night, he went through his memory files, going over the files with a fine tooth comb, searching for clarification.

As he kept watching, he’d noticed the way you smiled, the way your eyes sparkled no matter the light around you. The softness of your skin against his metal frame whenever you hugged him.

Gradually, he learned that he did love you.

He left his room, seeking you out and when he found you, he didn’t hesitate, although he was nervous for the first time in his life.

“I love you.”

It came as a shock to you, but to him, it felt like he finally had another purpose to his life.

His fans whirred loudly, his systems heating up as if he was blushing.

“I love you.”

He repeated it again, more for himself. A confirmation of his feelings towards you.

“I love you.”

They were words he never thought he’d say, especially towards a human.

GENJI

He never hesitated. Straight up just told you.

“I love you.”

While his heart was racing, every sort of love emotion flooded through him.

He watched on, gauging your reaction and when you returned the gesture, his heart felt like thumping out of his chest.

He hadn’t exactly known you long, but he knew that he had feelings towards you.

It wasn’t like anything he had felt before.

This wasn’t like him, and everyone knew it, but he didn’t want to lose you.

His playboy days were over, he had someone he truly loved.

Everything about you was everything he had ever wanted.

“I love you.”

Every day when he’d wake up, he’d tell you how much he loved you.

Every night before bed he’d tell you the same.

He was giddy, like a school kid coming home for the holidays.

He would always remind you, especially on days when you were feeling low. With his arms wrapped around you, he’d offer you comfort, listing all the reasons as to why he loved you.

Sometimes he felt like he was being obnoxious, quietening down some days and not expressing his love, but when you asked him and told him you missed it, he’d instantly chirp back up.

You were like a drug to him and he wanted you. Seeing your smile only made him want you more.

He would never forget the frist time he expressed his love for you. The first “I love you” would be engrained within his memory for as long as he lived.

A nervous boy expressing their love for their crush, he thought, which would make him chuckle whenever he looked back on it.

His heart would flutter each time he remembered it, and it brought him some peace and comfort each night before he slept.

HANZO

The archer would keep quiet, not wanting to move too quickly.

His mind would wander to how he would say it. Was he to prepare dinner? Ask you out for the evening? You were just friends with him, did you even think of him the same way?

He would overthink everything for days, eyes always vacant and looking off into the distance.

He enjoyed being around you, he wouldn’t deny that. He enjoyed your very presence, wanting more as the days turned into weeks.

No matter what he would think about, he couldn’t get you out of his head, even when he was meditating.

He’d try to keep his composure as he asks you to join him up on the roof, something of which the pair of you did almost weekly.

You thought nothing of it, thinking it was just the usual late night conversations.

Hanzo, however, thought everything of it.

He even went the extra mile to prepare drinks and a small helping of food and snacks for when you were up there with him.

His heart was pounding in his chest. The last time he felt this nervous was several years ago after seeing his brother was still alive.

He made his way to the roof, setting every down like everything had a place already.

When you arrived, the soft moonlight glow on your face, his heart skipped a beat.

Cue the panic rising.

He didn’t want to fuck things up, but the way you smiled as you noticed the arrangement brought some peace of mind.

He watched you sit next to him and then the conversations started.

Hours went by as the two of you spoke, seeming as if you hadn’t seen him for months.

It was a perfect night, and it was slowly building into the perfect moment.

Hanzo waited, the silence practically deafening in his ears before he speaks out.

“I love you.”

When greeted with silence, he felt a pang of worry as he looked off to the side.

I fucked up, I fucked up, I fucked-

When your hand caressed his cheek, pulling him to look a you before your lips connected with his, his cheeks grew instantly warm and red.

It was all the confirmation he needed, hand coming up to behind your neck as he deepened the kiss.

“I love you too…”
