I saw Jurassic world Dominion in IMAX yesterday. One of my favorite dinosaurs made an appearance in the movie and I was super happy to see that! Therizinosaurus, aka, The ‘Freddy Krueger-saurus’.
As for the movie itself, it’s...alright. There were a lot of references to older movies/lore and all, which I appreciated. They also added some ‘more accurate’ depictions of dinosaurs, also appreciated.
But on its own merit, it was alright.
The plot was a little weak, but honestly, considering what happened in the last movie, I feel there’s very little you can do next without stepping on any toes. (Seeing as dinosaurs on the mainland could probably get old pretty fast, and hybrid dinos were used for the last two world movies so that would most likely be tired by that point.)
I think it was a pretty okay send-off, all things considered.
Though it did kind of feel like they cut out scenes, or shaved off things for the sake of the run time. There were still quite a few things I liked about the movie, I’d probably watch it again, tbh.
All in all...ehh... 5/10
One of my biggest guilty pleasures is ‘Lego Marvel’s Maximum overload’.
It’s so stupid, I love it so much.
There are so many scenes I could point to, so many lines, so many moments that are just so ridiculous, even by Lego standards, that... you should just watch it, honestly.
The full movie is free on YouTube right now, please. It’s also less than a half an hour long.
It’s ridiculous, and also, I believe, based somewhat on the Ultimate Spiderman TV show. (Which gives it extra points in my book.)
If you do end up watching it because of me, please comment on this post or reblog with your thoughts. I’m so curious as to what other people think of it, lol.
I’m also going to end this off by pointing out that Lego!Loki shares Lego!Doc Oc’s hairstyle.
Okay, but notice that when Viren turns into a statue, he has a tear rolling down from his eye, similar to The Dragon King (Not even going to try to spell out his name.)
That + The ‘She is not an asset, she is my daughter’ line from the previous season makes me think that there might be some delicious dramatic irony centering around Viren’s killing of The Dragon King. (Perhaps with Aaravos taking up Claudia as his assistant in Viren’s place? Who knows?)
That’s just me reading a little deep into a random line and the imagery in this teaser being so similar to The Dragon Kings, so I could be way wrong though, lol.
Either way, I’m big hyped for this, holy shit-
I watched the animated ‘The Mummy’ series so often as a kid, that I managed to quote the beginning monologue at the start of each episode almost 100% perfectly as soon as I heard it.
I just saw that it was on Peacock and decided to watch it again for nostalgic reasons. Then as soon as the music kicked in, I managed to quote it along with the narrator almost word for word, lol.
In light of it suddenly becoming Dracula season, I had to make a quiz! Which Dracula character are you?
reblog and put in the tags an anti blorbo you have (character you love but they're from source material you either hate or are uninterested in)
I finally watched the new Batman movie with Robert Pattinson. ... It was pretty good.
Softcore spoilers: God, can we talk about the Riddler in this movie, that man was creepy as fuck-Reminded me of some true-crime serial killers, my guy. (Or some people I was antiquated with that ended up killing someone, but that’s neither here nor there-) I mean, at first when I saw that diner scene, I thought it was a little goofy but the longer they held on him, it just became...unsettling. Paul Dano did a great job, ngl. Even his room looked like something you’d see in a true crime documentary-
I’m also going to assume that rat trap was a reference to medieval torture methods, which if that is the case, well done. Lucas Baker lookin’ ass.
Yeah, I quite enjoyed it. There were a few snags, (Much like Batman in the squirrel suit scene.) but that’s to be expected, no movie is perfect, after all.
I agree with Pattinson. Would you spare a sequel, kind sir?
That entire scene involving Loki’s clothes being lasered off in the Loki show made me very uncomfortable when I first watched it.
I mean, maybe I’m just sensitive, but, I’m sorry- fanservice-y bullshit like that is just really creepy imo. (I mean, it’s why I don’t watch most modern anime.) Mostly because it’s usually far from consensual, especially in this case.
I mean, maybe if he decided to react a bit coyly to it, or something else, it would’ve been fine. (More so comedic and lightened the mood a lot more. Even then it still would’ve been weird and on top of that, ooc.) but with how he reacts to it in the actual show, it just felt wrong.
In the few seconds you got his reaction, that tremble in his voice especially, it just made it feel gross. Like I personally was intruding on his boundaries.
This coming from someone who’s attracted to him btw, so obviously, the target demographic for said moment. Yet I still found that it was wildly uncomfortable.
I dunno, I just wanted to put this opinion out there because I didn’t see a lot of people mentioning this when they talk about how bad the show was. Honestly, this moment was one of the biggest red flags for me.
Personally speaking, I see Scarecrow as being a medicinal user of marijuana. He’s definitely not the ‘giggly pothead’ type. Not a Shaggy Rogers, if you will. But I can see him using it every so often for medicinal reasons.
This also aligns with headcanons involving him having autism and anxiety, both of which I subscribe to. Anxiety and Autism both being things marijuana is used for.
However, what people should be talking about is whether Marvel’s Thor or Loki would be. With how Asgard is in regards to alcohol, you can’t say they would be opposed to indulgence in other substances.
So, really, they must’ve at least tried it once-
I’m not the only one who thinks Loki would have a massive scar at the very least after what happened in TDW, right?
I mean, I know he has healing magic and a healing factor, but I still think there should be at least a...mark???
I dunno, after watching TDW, I can’t imagine him without at least a scar. (Maybe he could heal somewhat with his magic, but it couldn’t heal him completely so it leaves one on the front of his torso?)
I’m gonna be honest: I feel like superhero movies and TV shows should be animated.
There’s just something about live action that makes them, ironically enough, less ‘alive’ feeling. Movement usually feels somewhat stilted in live action to me, even in the better action sequences. Not to mention that you can just do more with animation than you ever could with live action.
(Not mentioning as well that if an actor stops working for a project, it’s far easier to get a replacement voice actor than it is to get a normal actor to replace a live action role.)
Someone I randomly stumbled across on another site: *Makes an anti-loki show post* Me, reading along and nodding with every point so far: :) The post, suddenly: “- Even the TVA sounds like it came from someone’s bad fanfiction. Where did this idea even come from? It doesn’t belong in Marvel!” Me, knowing it was originally created in the mid to late 1980′s and wasn’t made up by the Loki show:
Riddler, talking to some random girl: And here's my number. Ha-ha!
Scarecrow: Do you just... walk around with your phone number pre-written on pieces of paper???
Riddler, smirking: Yep.
Scarecrow, rolling his eyes: Of course you do-
I...disagree with the idea of Loki being a narcissist.
Acting out the way he does isn't just a trait of narcissists but also of people with low self-esteem, (I should know, being someone who has acted in such a way myself in the past.) Loki was clearly constantly put down by others, disrespected by who he thought were his people, and generally considered 'lesser' to Thor for most of, if not all of his life for seemingly no reason at all. (He 'feels' he's in Thor's shadow because he blatantly is. There's clear favouritism not just from Odin, but from all of Asgard.)
He never wanted the throne, nor did he actually want power or popularity, he just wanted someone to tell him that he was worthy, he wanted someone to tell him he was worth something and that he wasn't a monster like the other Jotuns were. (This is far clearer in the deleted scenes, where Loki hesitates to take the throne in the first Thor movie, and even looks to his mother, the only person who really seemed to love him, before taking it. As well as his clearly more lovable interactions with Thor before it was revealed that he was Jotun.)
I mean, hell, he tried to commit suicide at the end of the first Thor movie when his father, whom he tried to get recognition from, and who was certainly the biggest issue with his self-esteem, rejected him yet again.
I feel like this is most prominent when you take into account that he IS a Jotun, a being that he was raised to hate and fear. He believes he's a monster, and that coupled with his already problematic self-esteem just makes it apparent that he has the exact opposite problem that a narcissist has. He does deeply care for other people as well. Frigga being the biggest example, in Dark world, he was heartbroken and devastated by her loss. (And the fact that the last thing he said to her was that she 'wasn't his mother' certainly didn't make it better.) Or in Infinity War, where he recognizes Thanos' plan to kill 'half' of everything, so, seeing as he's one of two brothers, gets Thanos to kill him so Thor will get out safely. Literally sacrificing himself for his brother, who he, on all accounts, shouldn't have cared enough to help there if he was a narcassist.
The mind stone and the sceptre weren't mind controlling Loki, but it was messing with his head, as is seen in-universe as well as mentioned in interviews. This is seen where he stabs Thor, as he's clearly shaken by what he's just done, even if you can only see this reaction for a few moments. He also doesn't believe in what he's saying in Avengers when he's telling the people around him to kneel, that's why Phil claims that he lacks conviction: Because he really does, he's doing all of this because he's hurting, and the mind stone is manipulating him, he doesn't actually believe anything he's saying there.
Before anyone brings it up as well: Ragnarok and the Loki TV show are pieces of MCU lore that should be taken with a grain of salt. Many things said in Ragnarok are inconsistent with the other movies (See Sif apparently having to prove that women can be warriors, yet, the Valkyries existed. Or the fact that apparently the Valkyries died before Thor's time but Thor always wanted to join them? Or the 'we were eight at the time' line, when Thor and Loki, being Asgardian/Jotun, age differently than humans, so by that point, would've actually been infants. The Loki show as well, Sylvie and the entire situation revolving around that comes with many character and story inconsistencies, such as magic seen not working in the TVA but apparently Sylvie can still use it in another episode.)
Basically, from where I'm standing, this diagnosis doesn't seem to make any sense? It makes more sense to say that he's faking narcissism just so he can look strong and more in control, while on the inside continuing to feel unworthy and unlovable. Lashing out not because he's truly hateful, but because, as you've said in another video: 'Hurt people, hurt people.' (Again, something I have sadly been through.) I'd also like to point out, in this way, his mischief seems more like a cry for help. As many will point out, if someone is neglected enough in early life, they're likely to develop a mentality of 'any attention is good attention', which seems to be pretty in-line with a lot of 'mischief' he pulls.
But hey, I'm not a therapist, and that's just my opinion.
Note: Narcissists aren’t inherently bad people. Don’t write them off as ‘evil’ or ‘monsters’. Not all of them are. Putting everyone in boxes like that for mental disabilities or neurodivergence is doing nothing but perpetuating harmful rhetoric and harming people.
...With that being said though, Loki ain’t it, chief.
Real talk though: Cinema therapy’s video on Loki is stupid as hell. ‘Loki genuinely believes he is superior’ is a direct quote, and as you can read from the above post, that statement is blatantly wrong on its own.
I JUST SAW AN AD FOR ‘MORBIUS’ AND I’M SHOOK.
IT’S COMING OUT ON MY BIRTHDAY, YA’LL. I HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SHIT.
Disney, don’t you dare let me down-
AU idea: (Android-Loki AU by myself, lol. Though I’m sure someone else must’ve thought of this, haha.)
Possible trigger warnings?: Parental neglect? I mean, it’s Loki, he’s the poster child of parental abuse/neglect. Brief mention of a mortal kombat fatality-style death.
Full idea below:
We’ll call this Loki...Lodroid? Just for the sake of simplicity. (I might come up with a better name later.)
In this timeline, Lodroid was made as a ‘companion’ and ‘protector’ of sorts for Thor, as he was an only child in this universe. Everyone but Thor and Lodroid knew about it, but Odin made it an unspoken law to never mention it to either of them.
Lodroid was programmed with a ‘self-awareness protocol’ that basically forces him to avoid any thought or idea that he’s robotic. So, his mind forces him to avoid the thought subconsciously, which would be overridden by any physical proof that this is the case. (Thus why nobody is allowed to mention it.) Lodroid is also pre-programmed to see Thor as his brother and Frigga/Odin as his parents.
‘Magic’ infused within Lodroid’s body made him capable of magic on his own, as well as casting a disguise over his robotic body to make him seem organic. (Like how he was cast over to not look like a Jotun in the OG universe.) His robotics also made specifically to seem as ‘asgardian’ as possible. (Ie: He can eat and drink, which is turned into fuel to power him, he needs sleep, he feels pain, he feels emotion, etc.)
For many years, he ‘grew up’ alongside his brother Thor, Odin, and Frigga. (Odin still neglected him, he was still ignored and basically bullied by the other Asgardians, etc. Frigga still was kind to him though, still seeing him as her son, even if he was artificial, as she knows that he still has emotions and thoughts.)
So, it basically remains pretty similar up until the events of ‘Thor’. When they end up in Jotunheim. Here, Lodroid’s arm is grabbed by the Jotun, but instead of turning blue, his skin starts to crumble like it does for everyone else. Lodroid panicked and in pain, lashes out. Remember when I said he was a ‘protector’ as well as companion? He was outfitted with weaponry, which only activated here, when both brothers were in critical danger. Lodroid’s palm fires a blast of highly concentrated energy, which basically fires right through the Jotun (Fatality, Loki wins)
Of course, this wasn’t normal magic, Lodroid was well-aware of that as soon as he realized what happened. But if not his usual magic, what was it?
Thor gets sent to earth, and Lodroid goes mad trying to figure out what it was. Then, it clicks. He finds the beam matched that of the destroyer's almost exactly. Lodroid figures out that there’s an enchantment cloaking him and while standing in front of a mirror, uses his own magic to override the illusion. Only to be met with a terrible sight.
Lodroid is met with mechanics, metal, and two green, glowing camera shutter optical lenses. (I imagine it looks similar to a mixture of C-3PO and a terminator.) And now he can see it: ‘Self awareness protocols disengaged’... ‘System procedures visible’... ‘Information overload in progress’... ‘Emotional levels reaching critical’... ‘Systems crashing’... ‘Oxygen levels compromised’...
This is the point he’s found by Odin, who finds him staring at his uncloaked appearance in the mirror. ‘Meltdown in progress’. However in this version of events, due to his not actually being organic, he’s disallowed the throne by default as he’s not recognized as Odin’s ‘real son’. (”Was I just some toy for Thor to play with until he grows bored of me?! What would you have done had you no use of me, would you have thrown me into a scrapyard?!”)
Frigga tries to get him to calm down, oh how she tries. But Lodroid, unable to access the destroyer’s might, is basically forced to confront Thor on his own. Thor doesn’t recognize him at first, as he’s still uncloaked here, but Sif and the warriors definitely do. It’s a shock to the senses for Thor, who up until now was also in the dark about it. Sif and the others are convinced that Lodroid is irreversibly off the deep-end, Sif even mentioning in passing that she ‘saw this coming a long time ago.’ (Insert Darcy making a robocop or terminator joke, you choose, lol.)
The fight is way more emotional than you might think it is at first. Lodroid and Thor basically ending in a tie as Thor basically tells Lodroid that regardless of what secrets may be hiding, that he’ll always be his brother. (He deserves a semi-happy conclusion to this, you can’t tell me otherwise.) Big difference in this timeline: Lodroid doesn’t go back to Asgard. He says he will once they try making the trip home (with some side eyes from Sif and the others.) but when they arrive in Asgard from the bifrost, he’s not there.
Nope, Lodroid left sneakily. He’s off to try and figure out what to do next after this huge revelation/identity crisis. But that doesn’t mean he won’t end up appearing for ‘The Avengers’. Thor is kind of bummed out, because he can’t find his brother, but hey, at least he can visit his girlfriend here instead of just disappearing, eh?
This post is getting long so I’ll leave this here for now. If people like it enough I might make a sequel for ‘The Avengers’. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Loki: Lilapsophobia/Astraphobia (The fear of storms/storms getting worse to the point of hurricanes and tornadoes.)
Thor: Entomophobia (The fear of bugs.)
Steve Rogers: Trypanophobia (The fear of needles/injections) ironic, ain’t it?
Bucky Barnes: Cynophobia (The fear of dogs. Bigger ones mostly.)
Bruce Banner: Thalassophobia (The fear of the ocean/deep bodies of water.)
Hulk: Agoraphobia (Fear of crowds, crowded areas, and enclosed spaces.)
Pietro Maximoff: Ekrixiphobia, Somniphobia (The fear of explosions and the fear of falling/staying asleep.) trauma
Wanda Maximoff: Monophobia, Autophobia (The fear of being alone and the fear of being abandoned.)
A friend and I were talking about crack headcanons and shit, and one of them just-
“Scarecrow is secretly a pro at freestyle rap and can do it incredibly fast.” “There’s definitely been a point in time where Joker got styled on by his rap skills in a hilarious fashion.”
And now, days later, I still can’t stop thinking about it-
This should be reblogged by everyone. Even if you’re straight, you should be a supporter.
Okay, I cannot stop thinking about a ‘How to train your dragon’ AU for Marvel. Would Thor have a Thunderdrum or would he have a Skrill? Loki with a Changewing perhaps? (Or maybe throw a Nightfury at him for the ‘misunderstood’ points?) Hela might have a Wooly howl to replace Fenrir? or maybe a red death for the boss battle points? I’m also fixated on the idea that Tony has a Sword-Stealer.
That and a Pokemon AU: My immediate thought for that being Loki having a Suicune, Thor having a Raikou, and Hela having an Entei. On top of that, they each also have a legendary bird? Loki has Articuno, Thor has Zapdos, and Hela has Moltres?
As much as we all like to imagine a universe where Loki survives Thanos and joins the Avengers in some ‘good ending’ plot line... I genuinely don’t think he’d be an Avenger for very long, if at all.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he can’t ‘be a good guy’ or anything, but I can’t see him being an Avenger. Not only because of his bad rap with earth, not only because Thor is involved and their relationship is rocky at best, but because of the other characters.
I have no problem believing that Bucky, Steve, Thor, Vision, and maybe Bruce (Seeing Ragnarok) would be willing to give him a chance. Strange and T’challa... maybe, if simply because they weren’t really involved with/aware of his ‘mishaps’ in New York. However, the others? ...I genuinely can’t see them being too welcoming to him. Especially Tony, Clint, Pietro, and Wanda.
The situation with New York I imagine would hit a little too close to home for Wanda and Pietro, so they’d at the very least be wary of him at first. Tony and Clint on the other hand, would be unabashedly cold to him. I can see Tony even borderline bullying him sometimes. (Using him as a punching bag because he was the root cause of his trauma from NY? Maybe not purposefully, but I can see him subconsciously targeting him for that reason.)
Other characters like Sam, Peter P, and Scott would probably only have known him through the news and other things detailing the events of the disaster, so would most likely see him as a terrorist. I don’t think I need to explain why that would cause some issues.
Because of this animosity, I don’t see Loki being able to be an Avenger. Not because they wouldn’t try, but because Loki just wouldn’t be able to stomach the treatment he’d be levied.
Honestly, he might be similar to Natasha in that regard. Wanting to ‘clear his ledger’ and believing that joining a group of ‘heroes’ would help him redeem himself. Only this time, instead of it being filled with hydra members, it’s filled with people who treat him just like everyone in Asgard did when he was growing up.
A chance he’d be given, but some characters would give it reluctantly, and some would keep treating him like a criminal until he eventually just gave up and left.
Dunno, that’s just how I see it. Don’t let me ruin your fun though, a ‘happy ending’ is definitely deserved for all of these characters, so feel free to disregard this little angsty headcanon of mine, lol.
Also, if you disagree and think I’m mis-characterizing someone or missing a piece of info, feel free to explain why. I like having discussions about stuff like this, haha. ^v^
Thor, approaching the massive fortress of ice Loki constructed, followed by a small army: Brother! I am here to reclaim my place next to you! As we used to have in the old days!
Loki, addressing the Jotuns with him: Hold your fire, boys.
Thor: Tell your men to lower their weapons, I mean you no harm!
Loki, shouting: Thor, put your hands up so I know which one is you!
*Thor puts his hands up*
Loki, turning to one of the Jotuns: Kill the one with his hands up.
Do the cookies in Cookie Run even have canon ages, or are we just speculating with the little information we have???
Bc I’m seeing people giving conflicting information about multiple characters and I’m a bit confused-
I had this idea in mind for a while and decided to try my hand at sketching my ideas down. Then posted it on another site, but decided to also put this here, because I figure some of you might be interested?
It’s important to note that these are based on the current concepts I have for my designs for them. Jervis is still in line for quite some change, especially in his outfit, so it might not end up looking like it does here. (I’ve also been considering making a few changes to Jonathan’s design, but that’s not concrete yet)
So, here they are, these three as anthro animals. (Inspired by Beastars/Beast complex, mostly. ...But also 'Batman vs the TMNT')
If you want to read a bit about these, feel free to do so:
Jonathan 'Scarecrow' Crane: Jonathan in this AU is a Arabian horse/Crocodile hybrid. As such, Arabians being as skinny as they are, coupled with the crocodile's typical appearance makes him incredibly unsettling to look at even before he hit puberty. Once puberty came, patches of his fur began to fall out, revealing patches of crocodile skin/scales underneath. I like to think his entire back is void of fur and covered with crocodile hide/spikes.
His ears are half torn due to his being a victim of Keeny's trained crows. I just find it a bit hard to believe that they wouldn't go after his ears in this AU seeing as they're so out in the open. Horse genetics and all. I love how he came out here. He just has this unsettling appearance that really adds to his design I think. I also noticed while sketching him that he kind of looks like a dragon a little bit??? I didn't draw clothes on him mostly because I wanted a good look at how boney and angular he looks. And that HAND. I'm so proud of that hand. How spindly the fingers look, the scales on his face, the fur around the scaly patches. *Chef kiss* perfection. Super proud of how that came out.
Jervis ‘Mad Hatter’ Tetch:
I knew I wanted him to be a rabbit. That's the first thing. But instead of going the boring route of making him a pure white rabbit, I decided it would be neat to make him a harlequin. (Seeing as I wasn't going to make Harley into a rabbit, figured I might as well.) I also like the aesthetic that comes with the ears poking out of the hat brim, so I needed that in this picture for sure.
Not much to really say about this one, it's pretty straightforward.
Edward 'Riddler' Nygma: I decided on making him a lion because the 'pride' jokes were too good to pass up. (Though I also like to think he's actually a leopon, but pretends that he's a full-blooded lion.)
I- would hate to admit how long it took me to figure out how to draw his hat. Also lion faces are damn difficult to draw, lol. You can't tell me a Riddler lion wouldn't have his full head of mane just flowing over his shoulders like that. I refuse to believe that he would cut it short. Also, forgive me for how awful that ear jewelry looks, drawing stuff like that on animal ears is difficult to figure out.
I'm pretty happy with this one as well, not nearly as proud as Jonathan, but still pretty happy with it.
An Elseworlds story where Year one Scarecrow becomes an anti-hero.
He’s not a member of the bat-family, but he works with them every so often. He starts as a straight-up villain at the beginning of the comic as usual, but after being defeated by Batman, having his fear toxin turned around on him kind of acts as a ‘wake up call’?
I came up with four separate scenarios and scenes that could take place in a universe like that. He almost becomes a red hood-like figure, but with fear toxin, snake venom, and crows. Lots of crows.
Might be a bit of a stretch but one of the ideas I had involved Karen moving to Gotham after the events of the comic. (Without her husband, she needed a job and a place to live, so she moved to some crap apartment with Jon’s sister. Everyone assumed Jon died, so she had no real worry about him popping up again.) Only to hear about this ‘Scarecrow’ running around and realizing she made a terrible mistake. Karen and Jon’s sister end up becoming reoccurring characters. (With, by the way, no incentive in the slightest for Jon to forgive her, in fact, it’s actually the opposite.)
In that type of scenario, a situation arises, as Karen gets into trouble with loan sharks and it results with Jon’s sister begin kidnapped. Jon finds out about this and saves her, maybe having some internal monologue about it, then returns her to Karen in person. (Basically to say ‘I’m not going to kill you anymore. Not because I don’t think you deserve it, but because Batman made me realize you’re not worth my time.’) Then he leaves.
This basically sums up how I imagine this type of story going. But honestly, that still could leave a lot of potential character relationships, scenarios, and other things open for possibilities.
When I was bullied in school, they usually focused on me being ugly, the things I made being ugly (being an artist), my love of fantasy and mythology, or me being weird/stupid.
With that in mind, I’m honestly not sure. Most rogues/villains are at least smart, lol. So, if we’re talking which already existing villain/rogue I’d be, I’m kind of stumped. (Though, to be fair, what I lack is scholarly intelligence. Not cleverness.) Maybe, depending on the version, Mad Hatter? I don’t think so though.
However, if we’re talking about who would I be in a more ‘original character’ sense... The first thing that came to mind is some kind of Rumpelstiltskin or Cheshire cat-themed character. Idk, I think it kind of fits. (Or maybe that’s just my recent hyperfixation on Once upon a time and Alice in wonderland talking, who knows?)
So everyone, if this was the DCU, what kind of villain/rouge would you be based on what you’ve been bullied for as a kid?
If anyone says they’d be a hero you’re BLOCKED!
Basically a fanfic of Batman Beyond and Batman the animated series. Almost a crossover, I guess? I don’t know what you would call it tbh.
Idk, I had this idea and wanted to put it down somewhere and share ‘cuz I thought it was neat.
Not sure about trigger warnings? I don’t think there’s anything worth warning about tbh. I’ll edit though if anyone says it might need one.
(Read below)
Basically, Terry runs into a villain one night while dealing with what he thought was a normal case.
Perhaps he’s going after some thugs, who basically explain to him in a panic that the person their working for is someone who shouldn’t still be alive. Terry dismisses this, maybe give him a one liner about how he’s dealt with that type before. “Oh, have you now?” a vocie from the darkness. Then, from the shadows, comes BTAS Scarecrow.
Terry is horrified and shocked. Remembering very vividly Bruce describing someone like this from when he was Batman. He goes after him, unmasks him expecting to see a copycat, but he’s no imposter. He looks exactly like he did in BTAS even, not a grey hair in sight. Scarecrow manages to get away, but Terry is more than just a little confused.
What’s worse? During the fight, this Scarecrow manages to break Terry’s wrist simply be grabbing it. Certainly not something Scarecrow could’ve done before.
Bruce already knows about it, having seen someone that looks like Poison Ivy on the news.
They quickly realize just about the entire rogues gallery is back, all of them exactly like they were back in the day, with every memory and fully intact personalities...mostly. You see, some of them have some slight differences. Joker and Harley for instance. Somehow, for some reason, this Joker actually does love Harley and the two are pretty much partners in crime. (Bonnie and Clyde style.)
They confront another imposter in this city, a Batman clone, who, once Bruce appears on the scene, is far more willing to help them figure out what’s going on.
And during a fight with the clone Joker, something happens. Dramatic scene ensues, where Harley is caught in the face by a batarang. She gets up, only to see her reflection in a nearby window, with half of her face torn away, to reveal mech under her skin. It’s here we realize these clones are bio-mechanical copies of the old rogues. Harley panics, Joker realizes what just happened, and they both get away.
Bruce, Bio-mech Batman, and Terry all find out where the bio-mechs came from, while the bio-mech rogues also track down this place (Having woke up dropped in Gotham in random places initially.) Coming in from different areas.
They all find the woman responsible, a crazed scientist obsessed with the old stories and history of ‘The Batman’. The way she talks about him almost makes him seem more like a cryptid, and she explains that she did this to try and get his attention so he’d come back to his life of crime-fighting and put this ‘great value batman’ in his place (She’s talking about Terry.).
The bio-mech rogues and the three batmen all clash, only for the batmen to realize one thing they haven’t noticed until now: The bio-mechs are actually alive. They’re copies of the originals, but they’re also their own people, with emotions like a normal human being.
They all band together to defeat the mad scientist, stopping her plans and putting her in an Asylum. The bio-mechs, having realized now that they’re not the original criminals, aren’t quite sure what to do next, so they all go their separate ways to try and discover what’s next for themselves.
Maybe add an ending chapter involving bio-mech Harley and Joker revealing to the other rogues what happened. Everyone has varying reactions to the news, with many basically having an existential crisis over not being who they thought they were. Some going into denial because, for god’s sake, they remember everything! Even their childhood! But then they recognize a huge gap in their memory from before they popped up in this future Gotham.
Maybe, just maybe, even add a part where a small group of them goes to their supposed ‘graves’, only to discover, yeah, they’re there alright.
Then they all conspire to find whoever made them and get revenge for making them go through this awful shock. After all, why not just make them know they’re copies?
...Yeah, I just had that Idea and I really like it, haha.

Steve decides to start incorporating team building exercises, with the real problems being Pietro and Wanda’s trust in Stark and the mutual trust between Loki and Thor. (As well as Loki and everyone else, except Peter P.) However, Peter decides to suggest another way of doing things after noticing everyone’s starting to get really bored of the old methods from Steve’s era, as well as many of them getting into fights during the exercises.
So Peter decides to suggest to Steve that they do something else, at least every other time they do these exercises. The suggestion is a bit strange to Steve at first, but after encouragement from an eavesdropping Sam, they decide to go through with it.
Next thing the public knows, word goes out that the Avengers have a YouTube channel. Sure enough, a channel featuring everyone doing miscellaneous tasks and challenges could be found.
Most of the team were hesitant about it at first, that is until some of them started getting fanmail and gifts sent to the tower. Tony gets letters from people who look up to him, Bruce gets letters from people giving advice on how to keep calm and empathizing with him in some cases, Loki even gets a few letters from people about how ever since he became an Avenger he’s become their hero, etc.
They basically end up becoming internet personalities by accident, and their team building goes from rocky and hating being on camera, to suddenly becoming more of a team and gaining trust with one another subconsciously while being preoccupied in trying to entertain the audience/fans.
-And that’s how the Avengers crew ended up getting into social media.
It basically ends up being like ten minute power hour, lol.
I just come up with the weirdest and most out-of-nowhere ideas sometimes.
Like, I’m just sitting here, minding my own business, then all of the sudden my brain goes: ‘Do you think [Insert batman character here] would like Beastars?’ And now I can’t stop thinking about how Mr Freeze made a mlp reference in Injustice 2-
Weirdly enough, I feel like Killer Croc might like it. And not just because he’s basically a giant crocodile-
I mean like, the murder solution arc I feel would probably pique his interest, especially the cold open to the series. The whole ‘Carnivore prejudice/The urge to eat your neighbors’ thing especially might be something he can relate to in the series.
Idk, I just have these weird thoughts sometimes so I thought I’d put it out there since I wanted to post something today but didn’t have anything in mind.
