So yesterday I was recalling a fanfic that had the Hanahaki disease in it while listening to the song "Killing Butterflies" by Lewis Blisset and had the thought of: 'What if it was butterflies instead of flowers' and so now this exists.
Now I present to you: Midnight thoughts with BLANK
Fictional disease like the Hanahaki disease.
It's caused by a loss of love from a loved one(romantic love) like after a harsh breakup or intense argument. Instead of flowers its butterflies and they sprout(?) out of the infected face/body (usually face/ under eyes). The process of a butterfly leaving the body is slow (about 1 day) and so not that painful. The butterflies fly/stay around the infected until their death and then land on and around the body and die with them. The infected's hearing improves greatly, though this is more a curse than a blessing due to the constant flapping of the butterflies wings around them. Should the infected kill one of the butterfly while alive then another butterfly will sprout quickly (in seconds) to replace the dead one, this is painful due to the speed that it leaves the body. The butterflies are typically more on the red side but some are pink. The color of the butterflies is due to the fact that the butterflies are made of the infected's blood, meaning with every butterfly that sprouts the infected loses blood. The more butterflies there are the father along the disease is. The butterflies will continue to sprout until the infected dies, one of the only times a person can survive this is making up with their love. That being said the infected will probably not survive if they broke up. This disease only happens to those who still love their partner, so the other cure is the infected learning to move on. Although if it progresses for too long there is no reversing it. Its name?
Killing Butterflies
My gravity falls AU!! :). I will slowly be posting more on it.
and heres a timelapse with my progress
This is a poster for my new romance novel
what if Bruce could’ve saved Jason.
I was watching arcane and jinx was nearly brought back from death with shimmer or smth.
what if Bruce had like, had that happen when he was a teen, au thingys, but when he held a dying Jason in his arms he got out the shimmer but decided, like him, death would be better then subkecting him to that.
but Jason finds footage of Smyth of Batman bringing out an unknown needle of Smyth over his dying body once he’s back to life, and Jason thinks Batman chose not to save him instead.
developing the hate, because Bruce made the decision not to inflic that trauma for a low chance of survival. But Jason didn’t know what it was, he saw it as Bruce chosing if he was worth saving or not.
and he thinks Bruce chose that he wasn’t worth saving.
if it’s an au people think about I can do it?

I wanna write something.
Well, the idea is that they’re a small group of travelers traveling from world to world, scene to scene, aware that they’re not even real, but trying to break the bounds and live life the best they can.... While finding themselves wandering these worlds.
The original idea was that they observe the lives of people on TV shows I enjoy, or even have the briefest of interactions because they cannot be an impact to the character’s life (like being someone they bumped into on accident in a grocery store, or someone they see behind the counter, a very short conversation in the elevator that later on will be meaningless or forgotten to the character later)
but now I’m thinking I should develop a world for them to explore and go through. Maybe I’ll do just that instead.
I think the issue is I have no idea where to start.
Probably I should do what I did as a kid, when I was way more inspired. Well, maybe they weren’t the best ideas reading my old works and cringing at it, (but hey we all have to start somewhere,)
but at least I decided on an idea and went with it.
I think I should do that.
I’m not sure though. I kinda liked the original idea, but I feel like it would also be a good idea to create a real big backstory to them
the only backstory so far that I have was that they were plucked out of their own lives that had their own things going on for them, not the worst things but certainly not the best things either, and would have to go through a endless trip of situations like running through the forest trying to escape some evil fairies to fending off evil vampires, then later after fending off some vampires and possibly some fairies that have somehow decidedly agreed to work together, they are somewhat back to normal by simply going shopping for some more supplies for more trips, then going back to doing things like looking for the lost shiny dragon scale that could have really just been a fish scale for all I know- well, I made up this fantasy nonsense on the spot just trying to be nonsensical, none of it actually happened. I dunno what I really tried to strive for but it’s almost like this. Although the fantasy element came to mind. Maybe there’s a part when they pretend to be part of a secret service only for the fun of it for a bit, then another part when they’re pretending to be hiding from something after them
... OK, I see I have a lot of directions I could go in, but.... I have absolutely no idea where I want to start first, and I don’t want my characters to be ridiculously overpowered. I would like them to go through situations they could handle, which is most likely hunting evil fairies and vampires or protecting... Their world? The universe? ... maybe.
Hey, maybe I could do just that but-
... I think it’s been done before. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Grimm, both series I hear of but have never actually watched? Hang on, I’ll check on Grimm because I’m uncertain and I don’t really want to get that wrong at all. [yea i thought so]
I really wanna do something original. It doesn’t have to be a huge hit, but I wanna do my best. I really wanna do something crazy with my imagination, and interpret it on paper the best I can. Maybe I could just stop overthinking it like I am right now. I think by now you could tell I’ve gotten into this mood where I spill onto the page, and I actually feel productive writing this, even if I’m probably not in actuality. But what a nice way to warm up. I think this is a good way to do it, maybe.
Spilling onto the page perhaps just something off the top of your head, like that thing I did with the idea of how the backstory was originally. What’s the term for it- writing-purge? Writing-splurge? I don’t remember.
Y’know, I think about it and maybe this will be something that will take me years of my life to put together. But that’s OK, good art takes time, as my 4th grade teacher said once. The wonderful shows I enjoy might have taken years of thought to put together ‘right’- or in the best way it could have been.
I remember being told by my mom I can’t force inspiration, it’ll come in time.
I don’t know if waiting would be the best thing, either.
I did take a slight risk by writing down this basic draft of an idea with an example of the storyline, maybe someone could copy this. Maybe someone could be inspired.
Probably you’ll move along in your day after reading this splurge-of-an-idea post. I might have gotten inspired in the smallest moment- well, I took a while to write this, then again. I think I’ve gotten a tiny bit inspired, and perhaps this isn’t bad after all.
I did feel like I should probably write down how I’m feeling about writing, so here it is.
... Also, it’s really late and I should be asleep by now. I know I’m not the only one out there, though. But knowing that doesn’t really change the fact, does it? ... I should move along.........
for the sake of writing I just might share the scraps of ideas I have of my characters, just to get it out there and get over procrastinating. I just might.
BNHA AU where Izuku and Shigaraki, thanks to new LOV ally, who decides to frame them both into a difficult situation use her quirk on them. Now they are stuck in a different dimension where they are brothers apparently and The whole UA and their battles are only a tv series. As if their situaction was not complicated enough as it is, their quirks seems to come back slowly over time. Meanwhile they have to addapt to new reality without super Powers, find their way back and maybe bond over their brotherhood everyone is talking about.
It’ s 2076 the technology is really advanced, to the point people can use a special devices, normally designed as bracelets, earrings, necklaces, pins and all variants of other accessories. Devices allows people to play a game in real life, swapping their body with the different one made out of special codes (think “World Trigger” trion bodies, just made out of the newest generation codes) , that can be personalized just as avatars in a game(based on one color obviously, but with different shades and accessories). This body is also allowing them to do things, they normally wouldn’t be able to do. With devices, they can also summon variety of weapons and are able to see and do things that are allowed only to people participating in the game. Such as tasks at checkpoints, that are create with bigger versions of their portable devices. They also have a special eye - ear part device that connects them with chat and shows them any system announcements, and a map… we don’t want new and/or out of city players to get lost. These came in glass – like shape or in one – eye glass option.
The game is set up in a city and depending on how many people are playing the one area in the city becomes their map. In bigger cites there are more areas, but depending on how big is the playing group, they game can take, one, two or even four areas in the city. ( Personally I think at same point there were this big “player unite” thing, where the whole city was the map. But that’s happening like once every three month. It’s difficult to synchronize game time.) All players have accounts, some choose to be anonymous, others don’t, they are beating scores and gathering points being future versions of today streamers.
As for the rules, there is a big difference, because we are not playing on a ship there are two options. First, find out who is the impostor and lure them to checkpoint where you can trap them for the rest of the game, or at least as long as no other impostor will find them. Or second option, eliminate them, because that actually is the option in this game. Crewmates can kill, the downfall being the fact that, differently from impostors, they don’t have to. So it can make them suspicious. When someone get’s slayed the information is automatically send as an announcement. Finding a body in the city would be a nightmare, especially since the “dead player” is not dead, but if he/she will get slayed, the red or black “X” will appear on their back and front suite side. And the points are claimed by the killer. The slayed person have to stay within 100 meters radius from the place their got slayed. And of course all communication options are being turned down.
Okay, but what is the difference between impostors and crewmates than? Impostors don’t have tasks to do in checkpoints. In one area there are eight checkpoints, depends o how many players participate, the number of activated checkpoints is higher or lower. However there is always one checkpoint that is inactive, and impostors never can tell witch one. That way they can be discovered. They can however use “shortcuts”, teleportation devices, spread all around the city. This, they can do thanks to their special “impostor code” within their body. They can also see who the other impostor(s) are. All players have the same pupils within their eyes. A simple circle with little star(or different shape) in the center, impostors circle are full at the bottom. For crewmates there are no difference but impostors are finding each- other with ease. They can also see where are other players on their map, while crewmates are limited to players literally five meters from them and if impostor will find another one of his kind, they can talk with the intercoms. Normally intercoms are available to use only for few minutes after someone is slayed to check where everyone are.
The tasks are obviously iconic : swapping the card, connecting wires or checking the switches to lights. The game never stops after all, and some people prefer to play at night. But also downloading data, checking shields on checkpoints, unlocking variety of different cryptic messages and even solving some riddles, or puzzles (music ones included). Some scans, really similar to the med-bay scans and if you personalize your tasks settings even baking or dancing in something similar to “just dance” and let’s not forget about karaoke task.
What else? Obviously more available colors to use, more operation options, since now the game is happening in actual real world and players can talk one to another if they meet up. And as for question about what else can be seen with eye piece, in different game modes, players statistics, the names of places, checkpoints and game participants nicks. Also, already mentioned, chat and map – obviously, announcements, checkpoint screens and all the messages from players and tasks.

Made by Me
Basically a fanfic of Batman Beyond and Batman the animated series. Almost a crossover, I guess? I don’t know what you would call it tbh.
Idk, I had this idea and wanted to put it down somewhere and share ‘cuz I thought it was neat.
Not sure about trigger warnings? I don’t think there’s anything worth warning about tbh. I’ll edit though if anyone says it might need one.
(Read below)
Basically, Terry runs into a villain one night while dealing with what he thought was a normal case.
Perhaps he’s going after some thugs, who basically explain to him in a panic that the person their working for is someone who shouldn’t still be alive. Terry dismisses this, maybe give him a one liner about how he’s dealt with that type before. “Oh, have you now?” a vocie from the darkness. Then, from the shadows, comes BTAS Scarecrow.
Terry is horrified and shocked. Remembering very vividly Bruce describing someone like this from when he was Batman. He goes after him, unmasks him expecting to see a copycat, but he’s no imposter. He looks exactly like he did in BTAS even, not a grey hair in sight. Scarecrow manages to get away, but Terry is more than just a little confused.
What’s worse? During the fight, this Scarecrow manages to break Terry’s wrist simply be grabbing it. Certainly not something Scarecrow could’ve done before.
Bruce already knows about it, having seen someone that looks like Poison Ivy on the news.
They quickly realize just about the entire rogues gallery is back, all of them exactly like they were back in the day, with every memory and fully intact personalities...mostly. You see, some of them have some slight differences. Joker and Harley for instance. Somehow, for some reason, this Joker actually does love Harley and the two are pretty much partners in crime. (Bonnie and Clyde style.)
They confront another imposter in this city, a Batman clone, who, once Bruce appears on the scene, is far more willing to help them figure out what’s going on.
And during a fight with the clone Joker, something happens. Dramatic scene ensues, where Harley is caught in the face by a batarang. She gets up, only to see her reflection in a nearby window, with half of her face torn away, to reveal mech under her skin. It’s here we realize these clones are bio-mechanical copies of the old rogues. Harley panics, Joker realizes what just happened, and they both get away.
Bruce, Bio-mech Batman, and Terry all find out where the bio-mechs came from, while the bio-mech rogues also track down this place (Having woke up dropped in Gotham in random places initially.) Coming in from different areas.
They all find the woman responsible, a crazed scientist obsessed with the old stories and history of ‘The Batman’. The way she talks about him almost makes him seem more like a cryptid, and she explains that she did this to try and get his attention so he’d come back to his life of crime-fighting and put this ‘great value batman’ in his place (She’s talking about Terry.).
The bio-mech rogues and the three batmen all clash, only for the batmen to realize one thing they haven’t noticed until now: The bio-mechs are actually alive. They’re copies of the originals, but they’re also their own people, with emotions like a normal human being.
They all band together to defeat the mad scientist, stopping her plans and putting her in an Asylum. The bio-mechs, having realized now that they’re not the original criminals, aren’t quite sure what to do next, so they all go their separate ways to try and discover what’s next for themselves.
Maybe add an ending chapter involving bio-mech Harley and Joker revealing to the other rogues what happened. Everyone has varying reactions to the news, with many basically having an existential crisis over not being who they thought they were. Some going into denial because, for god’s sake, they remember everything! Even their childhood! But then they recognize a huge gap in their memory from before they popped up in this future Gotham.
Maybe, just maybe, even add a part where a small group of them goes to their supposed ‘graves’, only to discover, yeah, they’re there alright.
Then they all conspire to find whoever made them and get revenge for making them go through this awful shock. After all, why not just make them know they’re copies?
...Yeah, I just had that Idea and I really like it, haha.
What if...there was a character who was semi-aware of the fourth wall? Not Deadpool level, but just self-aware enough to take advantage of how the series is written?
Okay, so there’s some rando in Arkham. One of the many nameless background characters to fill space, right? He’s just sitting in his cell one day, watching the doctors transport The Riddler or someone back to their cell after being brought back by Batman. That’s when he suddenly makes a realization.
Looking at all the people in the cells along the hall, he notices a very specific detail. Everyone labelled as a ‘supervillain’, everyone who dresses in costumes and commits crimes under an alias, they all inexplicably end up being given the ability to escape multiple times.
The guy decides to test this out after managing to get out of Arkham in one way or another. He gets a bunch of materials together and makes himself a make-shift costume, then picks an alias and goes out to commit a crime. (Let’s say for the sake of simplicity that he chooses a plague doctor theme, and, let’s just call him ‘Plague Rat’.) Sure enough, Batman shows up.
One thing leads to another and suddenly, he finds himself developing powers after the Batman encounter. (Idk, maybe he can communicate with pests, like rats?) Then is sent back to Arkham.
He notices that his appearance has suddenly changed. He looks a little less normal, a bit more...’iconic’? Then, the next thing he knows, he’s given an inexplicable opportunity to escape with a bunch of other rogues gallery characters.
He notices that each and every ‘supervillain’ is connected to Batman in some way, thus, he ends up coming up with a theory that he tests as well. He goes out to commit another crime at the same time as another villain, sure enough, Batman shows up and manages against the clock to stop them both.
This makes Plague rat realize that Batman is basically the protagonist of the story. This encounter also makes him realize that he’s suddenly impossibly lucky, able to just walk into dangerous situations and walking away with barely a scratch. Thus, he ends up taking up the habit of just throwing himself at danger haphazardly in his plans, as well as growing the balls to piss off other stronger baddies without fear. Even going so far as to outright bet other inmates on things that seem stupidly dangerous. (”I’ll bet you that I can go punch Killer Croc in the face right now and I’ll be fine.” He does, and right before Croc can attack him, a guard suddenly appears and breaks them up.)
This behavior would probably catch the attention of two people in particular: The Joker and Scarecrow.
Joker would be interested, as his careless and chaotic behavior meshes with his well. Scarecrow would be interested purely because of just... how is he so careless? It’s like he’s completely incapable of feeling fear?
Scarecrow at one point sprays him with fear toxin, after a few seconds of silent horror, he’s surprised to find Plague Rat laughing? He just starts yelling in hysterical laughter: “None of you can see it! None of you! I’m untouchable! Send as many demons, monsters, and serial killers as you like! Do your worst! It won’t help!” (Laughing mostly to cover how much he is actually afraid, but he’s still confident in the pattern.)
The entire rogues gallery just ends up being conflicted on how they feel about him. On one hand, they kind of trust him, because his predictions are usually correct, but on the other, he’s so eager to just throw himself at certain death. But on the other other hand, he always manages to get out of those situations perfectly fine? Arkham’s inmates just end up spreading a rumor that he can somehow see the future.
Maybe in his fights with Batman, he even starts saying stuff like: “-But before you foil my plans and take me to jail, why don’t we make this more interesting for the audience? After all, the hero always needs to face some peril in a good story, right?” Or “Please, this plan of yours is just going to fail anyway. Why are you taking it so seriously?” Or even, “My backstory? Oh, it’s nothing you need to worry about, a good story always trims the fat if it isn’t important, after all.” Or how about, “Trust me (Rogue name), just jump out with me! ...Yes, I get we’re in a blimp, but we’ll be fine! We’re both main characters!”
Basically: He’s a Batman villain who can see his own Plot armor, and he’s just having fun with it.
Idk, I just had this idea and I wanted to share it, because I thought the idea was at least somewhat interesting.
Idk if this was on purpose, but I saw your recent post and since Moomin is originally Finnish-Swedish... I just figured I should mention that "Tjej" is literally the Swedish word for girl? Like, just in case you didn't know/it wasn't on purpose.
Hello !
First of all, thank you you're my first Ask !
Second, yes I know, and I did it on purpose! She was supposed to have no name, I wanted her to just be "The girl" for a good part of the story and then I did some research and discoverd the word Tjej (I thought it was funny and usedull to give her that kind of false name)
That and the fact that I had no inspiration and she's literally a girl from the south (Södra Tjej)
Well good evening!
I really wanted (and needed) to make a post that would summarize my little weird, modern Au, so I put it here:
In a parallel universe to the 1990 moomins series, a 16-year-old Snufkin, instead of going on a winter trip, returns to the city where he was born to go to school.
There he meets a strange girl, Tjej(oc), with whom he becomes friends. The following spring, she embarks with him on a strange adventure by following him in the moomins valley.
Come on ... it's just a lie.
Of course it doesn't exist.
It's just a story of perfect duality and compulsive daydreaming.
Taking inspiration from a reality to create another one, that's all.
(Don't be weirded out by the two names thingy please)
Snufkin
Moomin/Morgan
Snorkmaiden/Maeliss
Sniff/Sony
Snufkin's Father/Joxter
Snufkin's Mother/Mymble
Maya/Mymble's Daughter
Maï/Little My
Södra-Tjej
It's mostly the first year: snufkin starts to talk with Tjej and they are becoming Friends. They talk a lot and she followed him. They share the feeling of being out of this World. They have fun in the moominvalley for a few months before coming back to their town in september.
(i'll update that later IG)
The main goal of my Au is to write and draw about the disillusionment of returning to a "normal life" and beginning to notice similarities between the inhabitants of the whatever you lived in and those of your city.
There is no other ships than the couples presented in the series.
If you notice that for example that I am completely wrong or saying bullshit on a subject I would like corrections, but also I am really bad at English and I apologize in advance for the mistakes but I do my best.
I hope it wasn't too messy,
Nor too long,
Good night!
I've been thinking, I have lots of creative ideas and the only person who knows then are my best friend. And I always end up saying stuff like "I should make a comic out of this" or "I should write a fic out of this" but I never do. And so, I thought, why not share it here?
Maybe I'll write they here, but there is a lot
