Once you’ve looked over all those cool links, I have some general advice for you on how you can have some sort of support system going for you:
You may decide to leave home for many different reasons, including:
wishing to live independently
location difficulties – for example, the need to move closer to university
conflict with your parents
being asked to leave by your parents.
It’s common to be a little unsure when you make a decision like leaving home. You may choose to move, but find that you face problems you didn’t anticipate, such as:
Unreadiness – you may find you are not quite ready to handle all the responsibilities.
Money worries – bills including rent, utilities like gas and electricity and the cost of groceries may catch you by surprise, especially if you are used to your parents providing for everything. Debt may become an issue.
Flatmate problems – issues such as paying bills on time, sharing housework equally, friends who never pay board, but stay anyway, and lifestyle incompatibilities (such as a non-drug-user flatting with a drug user) may result in hostilities and arguments.
Think about how your parents may be feeling and talk with them if they are worried about you. Most parents want their children to be happy and independent, but they might be concerned about a lot of different things. For example:
They may worry that you are not ready.
They may be sad because they will miss you.
They may think you shouldn’t leave home until you are married or have bought a house.
They may be concerned about the people you have chosen to live with.
Reassure your parents that you will keep in touch and visit regularly. Try to leave on a positive note. Hopefully, they are happy about your plans and support your decision.
Tips include:
Don’t make a rash decision – consider the situation carefully. Are you ready to live independently? Do you make enough money to support yourself? Are you moving out for the right reasons?
Draw up a realistic budget – don’t forget to include ‘hidden’ expenses such as the property’s security deposit or bond (usually four weeks’ rent), connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Communicate – avoid misunderstandings, hostilities and arguments by talking openly and respectfully about your concerns with flatmates and parents. Make sure you’re open to their point of view too – getting along is a two-way street.
Keep in touch – talk to your parents about regular home visits: for example, having Sunday night dinner together every week.
Work out acceptable behaviour – if your parents don’t like your flatmate(s), find out why. It is usually the behaviour rather than the person that causes offence (for example, swearing or smoking). Out of respect for your parents, ask your flatmate(s) to be on their best behaviour when your parents visit and do the same for them.
Ask for help – if things are becoming difficult, don’t be too proud to ask your parents for help. They have a lot of life experience.
Not everyone who leaves home can return home or ask their parents for help in times of trouble. If you have been thrown out of home or left home to escape abuse or conflict, you may be too young or unprepared to cope.
If you are a fostered child, you will have to leave the state-care system when you turn 18, but you may not be ready to make the sudden transition to independence.
If you need support, help is available from a range of community and government organisations. Assistance includes emergency accommodation and food vouchers. If you can’t call your parents or foster parents, call one of the associations below for information, advice and assistance.

Relationships Australia Tel. 1300 364 277
Centrelink Crisis or Special Help Tel. 13 28 50

Try to solve any problems before you leave home. Don’t leave because of a fight or other family difficulty if you can possibly avoid it.
Draw up a realistic budget that includes ‘hidden’ expenses, such as bond, connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Remember that you can get help from a range of community and government organizations.

Here are today’s fanworks! Please leave a comment and kudos for the authors and artists. They’ve worked very hard to bring you a ton of great works. Authors/artists will be revealed September 3rd!
Additional Tags: Six of Crows AU, Adopted Sibling Relationship, Moral Dilemmas, Kidnapping, Copious Amounts of Guilt, Grisha Jason, Severe bouts of Self-Doubt, Captivity, Angst, Death of unnamed background characters
Summary: Jason is more than Dick could’ve ever asked for in a little brother, and he’s willing to do a hell of a lot to keep him safe and happy. Maybe too much.
Six of Crows AU.
Additional Tags: Tooth-Rotting Fluff, Wedding Fluff, Idiots in Love, That’s it that’s the plot
Summary: Dick can’t help the simultaneous inhale and exhale when he sees Jason coming down the aisle. The cut of his white tux makes a gorgeous figure against the backdrop of blue and red they chose for the decor. A nightmare for their wedding planner, but somehow, someway it worked for them. Dick can feel his heart flutter in his chest.
He didn’t know how to feel about Jason wearing white. When the man first brought it up he agreed without question.
Now staring at his handsome, statuesque fiance he wishes he thought about it more.
Additional Tags: Fluff and humor
Summary: After a (presumably daring) rescue, Dick cooks dinner and games are played.
Additional Tags: Slice of Life, Canon-Typical Violence
Summary: Sixteen-year-old Jason Todd knows there’s opportunity, and then there’s Opportunity, and he’s never been the one to miss a chance to help him survive on the streets of Gotham.
Additional Tags: Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Lady Shiva is Jason’s Mother, Jealousy, Resentment, Unresolved Sexual Tension, Canon-Typical Violence, Denial, Crushes
Summary: Jason should have known better than to go picking unnecessary fights with heroes. Especially ones like Nightwing. Now that his mother has offered Dick Grayson training in exchange for defeating her son, all he can do is seethe at the injustice of it all, as well as hope for the opportunity to set the record straight again. An endeavor that would be much easier if Dick didn’t insist on being so perfect all the time.
Additional Tags: Alternate Universe - Alternate Universe - Creatures & Monster, sSoul Bond, Identity Reveal, Mild Hurt/Comfort, Minor Violence
Summary: A huge storm is raging over Blüdhaven.
Nightwing is missing.
Jason volunteers to walk into the storm, lies on his tongue and a second heartbeat in his chest.
What he discovers could change everything but is it enough to find Dick and stop the storm?
Additional Tags: Dick Grayson is Ric Grayson, Canon-Typical Violence, Amnesia, Clubbing, Fighting Kink, Blow Jobs, Consensual Sex, Dubiously Consensual Blow Jobs
Summary: The latest rumor is that Nightwing had been taken down by a lucky contractor. Jason didn’t believe it at first.
Additional Tags: Fanart, House Husband AU, Jason Todd is Not Red Hood, Civilian Jason Todd, Dick Grayson is Not Nightwing, Civilian Dick Grayson, for a given value of civilian, JayDick Summer Exchange, nose kisses, y’all nose kisses are cute too, it isn’t just forehead kisses, Married Life, Married Couple, Police Officer Dick Grayson, oops forgot to add that tag
Summary: Dick Grayson of the Bludhaven Police Department comes home to find his lovely husband cooking dinner.
Jason greets him with a kiss.
i really like looking at google image searches for “firemen rescuing cats” or something because you get super cute pictures like
AND THEN THERE’S THIS ONE
Ok who was gonna tell me The 7th Loop was getting an anime because I had no idea like WHAT!?!?!?!?!
hypocrite count: 3
sleep count: 0
Jung Heewon: I sleep with a knife under my pillow.

Additional Tags: Post-Game(s), Developing Relationship, Angst, Implied - Friends with Benefits
Summary: Ever since Knightfall, Dick has felt like the floor is on the ceiling and everything he’s holding onto is slipping through his fingers. But tonight Penguin has decided to throw a party in Gotham, and Dick is furious and looking for a good time.
Additional Tags: Alternate Universe - Thieves, Con Artists, Casual Sex, Orgasm Delay/Denial, Hand Jobs, Oral Sex, Anal Sex, Complicated Relationships, Plot What Plot/Porn Without Plot
Summary: Moments later, Dick has made his way through the crowd and is hanging off Jason’s shoulder, whispering into Jason’s ear, his breath tickling the short hairs at the nape of Jason’s neck. “If you’re here for good old Kathy’s trinkets,” he purrs, “then, ohh, Little Wing, I’m afraid I beat you to the punch on that one.”
Dick butts into one of Jason’s meticulously planned scores and gets “punished” appropriately.
Additional Tags: Fluff, Humor, Weddings, Groomzilla, Wedding Planning, Wedding Night, Kissing, JayDick Summer Exchange
Summary: “I ordered white lilies, not pink! How do you think my fiance will feel when he walks out here for his big day and sees these monstrosities instead of his favorite Easter lilies? Are you trying to ruin our whole wedding with your incompetence?”
The florist looks like he might piss himself. Dick rushes over before things get any more out of hand.
-
It turns out Jason is a bit uptight about making everything perfect for his and Dick’s big day. It’s up to Dick to prevent his fiance from having an aneurysm, and from possibly murdering a florist…

Summary: “My biggest mistake was coming back. That made me human. That made me not perfect. That hurt his rep, ruined the pretty little tale he’d conjured in his head. His little pedestal he’d build for self-flagellation after patrol. Don’t you see Dickie? The whole family loved me as a corpse. They didn’t love me when I came back filling graves with criminals. Even you…”
Jason gives a self-depreciating laugh, hugging himself and looking down.
“Even you.”
A Good Soldier but not A Good Son.
