Saw The Dark Crystal in theaters tonight for the 40th anniversary. I can easily say without a doubt in my mind that if I had been a movie-goer in the 80s when it came out I would still love it just as much as I do now.
Seeing it in theaters was just so fucking COOL! And there were a decent amount of people there as well (about twenty), which made it even better.
If you ever get a chance to see your favorite movies in a theater, do it. You will not regret it; I am legitimately the happiest I've been in a while. The amount of euphoria I felt throughout the showing is something that everybody deserves to experience.
Random Unaffiliated Headcanon #1:
There are a handful of doctors and health care professionals who've figured out Batman's identity because at one point or another Bruce Wayne showed up in the middle of a seminar or took an online course they taught.
Just watched Krull for the first time. That shit was great. I totally need the DVD now.
So on my Instagram explore page there's this account called oldhollywoodconfessions, and since I had never really looked at it much, I decided to take a quick dive and see what it was about.
From the name I was expecting the basic appreciation/criticism towards old actors and actresses, which is seen in these images here:
But most of these confessions on the page are more along the lines of this:
There's a lot of James Dean-related ones.
And then, lo and behold, I discovered the more... Sexually-charged confessions.
And that's how I found this absolute gem of an image:
Simple. Straight to the point. Flawless. This is how you deliver a confession folks.
God damn it who's cutting the onions?

Interrupting your regularly-scheduled Star Wars posts to give you a The Dark Crystal post.
I showed a preview of this to some of my friends and one of them described me as a “horocrux who feeds of other’s suffering,” which i think was a compliment. I guess I just like sad-posting.
After TDCAOR was cancelled, I assume it will be a few years before we get some kind of spin off explaining what happens to our beloved Gelfling protagonists. This was an idea of mine for how the story may end. I personally believe that Deet and Rian are Jen’s parents, and the reason Jen was able to fix the Crystal was that he inherited his mother’s ability to banish the Darkening.
Fuck it. Double-Nana away!
Two years?! I’m in!
GO SEE GODZILLA MINUS ONE! GO SEE GODZILLA MINUS ONE! GO SEE GODZILLA MINUS ONE!
Rough colors for a quick sketch of Destoroyah. I’m a lifelong tokusatsu fan, but this might be the first time I’ve actually posted about kaiju here.
Y’all know what day it is. Honestly even if nothing is announced for the franchise’s anniversary I’m just happy that there’s so many people who even know about it to begin with. That being said, I’m never giving up hope.
Reblogging because I just went for Round 2 at my local theater and the movie's still fan-fucking-tastic
GO SEE GODZILLA MINUS ONE! GO SEE GODZILLA MINUS ONE! GO SEE GODZILLA MINUS ONE!
Not the greatest thing in the world but I’m steadily getting better with digital drawing. Here’s a small thing I did for The Dark Crystal, showcasing the Skeksis’ morning ritual where the nasty vulture-lizards rejuvenate themselves so they can continue to talk smack to each other.
I have no idea what I'm doing. Enjoy my strangeness.
