I haven't fully gotten my excitement back for shifting. My love and care for it seems to just have disappeared. Though I love the idea of shifting to undertale. Mostly because I think it's a nice place where I can be chill and not have to worry about anything eith some of my comfort characters
they're here. fucking fuck they're here and there's already misinformation being spread. we need to hide.

welcome, shifttokers! we're glad you could join us, and we're happy to teach you anything you want to know! however, the community over here is a bit (vastly) different than it is on tiktok. so a few rules: 1: if you don't like it, scroll past it. if you notice this person on your dash a few times and you still don't like them, block them. there won't be hard feelings. you just don't like them. it's that simple; we're mature enough to handle it. 2: no one's d/r is 'wrong'. you can script anything at all into any universe at all. if you believe that someone can imagine a whole reality, build a d/r or w/r from scratch, but you don't believe they can script 'unnatural' stuff, like a loved one being alive or a pet living forever, then you need to reevaluate your opinions. 3: we listen and we don't judge. sometimes, you'll see people 'judging' each other, but that tends to be between friends (i.e. me and @shiftingwithmars about anything with ethan or me and @zipper-is-ranting anytime i mention the person i like in this reality). yes, some of us have hooker or sugar baby d/rs. some of us have severely traumatic d/rs. and it's not your place to tell another shifter what they can or can't do in their d/r. it's their d/r. you don't have to go. 4: learn about loa. please, please dedicate a little time to learning about the law of assumption, it's so so helpful when you're shifting.
having said all that, i really do hope that you can enjoy your time on shiftblr! it's a lovely community, and i really do think you'll enjoy yourselves here.

My mental health has been really bad the past couple months and I feel like it's getting worse tbh. I want to shift. Not to just get rid of it like magic. So I can learn to work though it and heal myself in a safe way with someone I can lean on for support like I don't have here.
Just a tiny rant ig
Yall I'm at work and I ordered a pizza to eat and when they called me overhead to let me know it was here they called Elene which is super close to my current dr name Like!!!
Im dying inside from excitment
So in a different post I mentioned having relationship stuff and I was in one. He was a bit clingy and wanted to talk and hang out all the time and it took me away from shifting. It wasn't for me u didn't like thst I didn't seem to get space and for other reasons I ended jt.
Now, I can focus on shifting again, and it was a nice break. It think I needed to be at ease last night. I dreamt of my s/o, and it was lovely. I'm just scared off feeling suffocated in a relationship there even though I know I'll feel completely different their then I do here
I genuinely need to talk more about shifting on here because I need more shifting friends and I'm lowkey depressed and want to feel better by getting to my Dr so I can be around my 6'4 military boyfriend who I want to use as a weighted blanket
something to put into your script if you shift: no heartburn / acid reflux
hi everyone! so for my first tip for shifting, iβm going to start off with something simple. pls remember that these may not work for everyone, iβm just sharing with what works for me. and also, remember you shouldnβt shift as an escape, but rather to learn and expand your knowledge.
so you might be anxious to shift, letβs say, harry potter, and your attempts havenβt been successful. well, the same thing happened to me. no matter how many times i tried, it just wouldnβt happen.
but then i thought βhm, why donβt i try something easier?β which at first, i really didnβt want to do. i just wanted to get to my dr. but this genuinely helped me after i tried it. i shifted to a field of flowers (with some visual help from pinterest, which i highly recommended). it was easy, calming, and gave me the confidence to shift to harry potter the next week. and guess what? it worked!
tldr: shift to somewhere simple first, like a lake, or a field of flowers. that doesnβt require too much planning (though you should always have a script ready) and doesnβt have a lot of components. instead of jumping into the deep end, wade your way through the shallower parts first :)
- love, a.p.
Yall, I'm still not 100% back into shifting, but I've gotten hyper fixated on Avatar and Pandora, and I want to be in the beautiful world, a lot more than I have any other place before. It just seems like it'll be such a peaceful place to be, minus all the war that happens in the movies. I'm not sure who I'll be or how I'll start my script for it, but I want to make one. I love the idea of shifting there
Do you mind sharing what method you use to break down anatomy for drawings? Like how you construct bodies?
Sorry for the super delayed answer π i'll try to be brief!
I start by locating the ribcage, hips, and head's ellipses and their central axis. Then i draw the torso, connecting the hips with the ribcage, and do a rough sketch of how the chest and shoulders should look like.
Then I add the limbs using cylinder like volumes, specifically i do the legs first and then the arms (tip: I do figure drawing and studies every now and then, that helps with visualizing the shapes/volumes in different angles). And lastly, I connect parts like the shoulders with the chest line to do the pectorals, the neck with the shoulders for the trapezius, and add details like fingers, collarbone, face.
A general rule i follow is that an average body (skeleton) is around 8 heads in height and 2 at it's widest points (shoulders/hips), so you can divide the body in halfs, quarters, and eighths. So: chin, chest/armpits, waist, pelvis floor, base of the knee, and feet soles become guides to measure and proportion the body. Elbows align with the waist and wrists with the pelvic floor.
For people on this website who have shifted, I would love to hear your stories and experiences. I haven't shifted myself, at lwast on purpose.
It's a cringy story ngl but it happened way before I even knew what shifting was, but I was super into lucid dreaming. So if anyone knows who markiplier is, you might have heard of darkiplier. I was shamlessly obsessed with him back then π. Like it was the kind of obsessed I wanted to get kidnapped by him so I could live my dream life. This was 7th grade maybe? Thank God that was close to six years ago now.
So one night I was sleeping in my floor because I was a maniac and thought the concrete floor in my bedroom was comfortable. In the morning u was woken up by someone picking my head up off of my pillow by my hair! It didn't hurt though. They just pulled my head up and I heard what I belive was supposed to be darkiplier say "it's time to wake up" π of course I didn't listen. I looked, expecting to see someone's feet above my head and there was nothing, so I just went back go sleep.
It was hard to wrap my head around when I woke up. I literally thought it was a dream. I'm pretty sure I was awake, though.
I hate thinking back on my 7th and 8th grade years like, what was wrong with me? But this is when I think I shifted?
