Additional Rains expected in 3 days. DS 2/12/17 7:00 pm PST. 8:00 pm. Chico Fairgrounds Full. Do not go there. I didn’t get the name of the church to be diverted to. See following posts. New10. Sacramento’s channel 3 News has news reports on this. Butte county residents call 211 for information. DS 2/12/17 Evacuation Orders lifted in Oroville Dam area. Residents pack for home. The damage to the Oroville Dam Spillway is DANGEROUS. 185,000 cubic feet/s of Feather River water is coming into Lake Oroville and only 41,000 CFS is going out. The emergency 2nd Spillway may have to be used before morning, to avoid dam overflow. We need that water, and Oroville, including the dam.

David Schaedler 2/9/17 7:10 pm PST.

The 10th - the dam is 96.7% full, 5’ from the top. The broken spillway does not carry water along it all the way, the water is diverted outward about ½ way down. DS 2/10/17 Late 2/10/17 The dam is now 98.8% full. With so much rainwater entering, the damaged spillway can only remove much less than that. The rains have ceased today, but forecasts indicate more. Sleep

Some clue on sleeping, if you have troubles it’s that you may not be doing one of the following.

1. Have a dark room and comfortable bed.

2. No screens an hour before bedtime.

3. No smoking, alcohol or energy drinks 4 hours before bedtime.

4. No exercises 4 hours before bedtime.

5. No coffee 6 hours before bed.

6. No radio or TV in the bedroom.

These are basic rules for sleeping well. Enjoy!

Robot roaches

Microsoft once announced that it noticed a user had found that roaches stopped when he used his remote, but they continued moving after some time, probably becoming used to the remote signal. This portends someone designing “cockroach controllers” that remotely run the little creatures around.

Imagine sales ads: “Tell your roaches, ‘you’re in our sights’” with our new controller. Let them know who’s boss.

How about Hasbro toys: “Let your kids get rid of any bugs! Squash them flat while you watch!”

Or jazzing out your girlfriend - get one to run by her feet when you feel ‘in a manly mood’ to do something for her.

Boring bugs could become the new fad! And where would the chemical companies be then? What better use?

It seems to be a few days before Spring and we in the West have enjoyed a week of fine 70° weather. It appears that in the East, snow and high wind is the going theme, as it it white out there. Snow up to 18" has appeared in New York as an example. The map for Northeast America has shown this weekend may be completely socked in. Previous warnings, "Stay off the streets" have been given and apparently been effective. We are all due for that Spring, mentioned.

Why not Washington, Oregon or California? More Sun, later. In that case, include any free space state. Spread out the time the Sun is shining, Maybe even in each time zone.

Elon Musk: We Can Power America by Covering Small Corner of Utah With Solar
Elon Musk said that the U.S. could meet its electricity needs just by covering a small corner of Utah or Nevada with solar panels

We have the technology, our governments just need to stop listening to the fossil fuel lobby. However, as long as the fossil fuel companies keep giving them money, that’s rather unlikely.
