So this entire issue is about Superman being threatened by someone who supposedly knows his identity. They said he has to leave the city for 2 weeks or he’ll tell everyone.
Can I just say it’s hilarious that the guy says 2 weeks like dude you have Superman’s civilian identity what are you doing?!
Superman keeps saving people in secret and Batman and Robin go to find out where Superman went.
Love that Lois and Perry here idk they seem concerned.
So Batman and Robin do find Superman and they talk about the guy with Superman’s identity. Then a flashback happens and Clark talks about this kid who probably works for that guy.
These are along side the previous posts pages.
So Clark is freaking out, but here’s where things get even more ridiculous.
IT WAS BRUCE CAUSE OF COURSE IT WAS
I literally yelled “I knew it!!!” Also Bruce’s reasoning for trying to get Superboy’s identity is so funny! Like he literally goes “I wanna be a detective so I’m gonna find out superboy’s identity, not to share, just to keep.”
The kid has a LEAD LINED NOTEBOOK. WHAT?!
And so Bruce gets his evidence but goes screw you to Linnis. Superman goes to save the day and everyone is happy! The end!
This was the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. It’s also one of my favorite comics. It’s so silly I love it.
Do people want to hear about the old world’s finest comics. Cause they’re hilarious and stupid and I love them.
(Idk why I ask I’m gonna do it anyways)
I have an Eastern Hercules Beetle named Terry. He fell on someone outside a restaurant and my dad saved him. He’s pretty cool.
Does it ever frustrate you when people argue about the moral implications of characters in serialized media (like comics and tv shows) when you yourself know that the reason characters will do things incredibly differently and make some completely out of character choices depending one what the writer wants to write.
Or not even moral implications, literally just any action or characterization.
And also those writer change so frequently that often the character will do something with one writer and then not do it with another writer.
Also these things have been existing so long that (especially with comics, like nearly a century) that times have changed and writing has also changed.
Just remember that these are characters that have been around for years and have been passed around by writers since their conception.
There is no hard canon with these things.
(Also a better argument would be about the industry issues and why the writers wrote what they did rather than arguing about fictional characters. Because a lot of this stuff is mostly industry issues that should be addressed because these are real people making these writing decisions and editorial changes.)
I got some classic comics today.
I’m so excited. I also have the second issue of Batman year 1 but they were a bit pricey so I only got 2.
Im super excited for the Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow because I’ve heard about it from overly sarcastic productions.
I’m very happy I found this cause it was in the trade in section, love that place cause they have discounts!!!
Let's take a moment to appreciate just how amazing the title cards were for Batman the Animated Series.
So metallo stabs Superman with red kryptonite
And then Robin stabs Metallo
God the actions in these scenes are beautiful.
I might go on a world’s finest tangent today.
(Is tangent the right word? Idk)
I just need to talk about how much I love this series.
Someone posted motivational Estinien to motivate them to make art and I felt compelled to make one as well. Here is my offering to my fellow procrastinating artists
I love how Bruce tells Duke to guard the Cave & Duke goes "Yes, sir. You got it. Not a single goddamm person is getting into this Cave." Like he takes it so seriously that when the GREEN LANTERN shows up, Duke doesn't think "Hm. He probably has a good reason for being here. Maybe I should ask him?"
No.
He DROPKICKS HIS ASS.
Ok so the Garrus pipeline is strong.
I wanted to romance him cause I thought he was cool so I decided to wait till me2 to romance anyone.
Me1 Garrus made me go hmmmm maybe…
And then Me2 Garrus made me so happy.
I’m on Me3 now I’m not ready for this. I picked him up from the moon!!! This game is gonna hurt me isn’t it. I’m already emotional exhausted.
Also Shepard has more confidence than I do so the pickup line had both Garrus and me blushing.
