I'm gonna crash out!
Time to go read stories about my favorite old men having a breakdown so I don't
(It helps trust)
Today's the crème brûlée
That followed the turkey day
Yall who follow my page remember when I posted like 10 times in a 24hr span because I was in a car for 24 hours straight right
So I was talking with my friends and we're talking about screen time for some reason so I show them my whopping 18 hours from that road trip (the rest of the week was <4 hr each day btw) and this kid chimes in with "you should really get your screen time under control"
I say "usually my screen time is much lower, I was just in a car for 24 hours straight."
He says "well yea but you should still get it under control"
I say once again "right but I was in that car for a full day with little else to do"
And he says once again "yea but you should still get that under control"
At that point it's becoming a back and forth that'll never end so I ignore him but like dude
It annoyed me quite a lot actually

This took longer than I wanted it to take. The dialogue feels a bit clunky, but between a severe flare-up of my chronic hand issues and big changes in my personal life, I've decided it is not worth despairing over.
I hope this was worth the wait, either way. <3

Was at the paper store because my sister wanted a jelly cat and in line to buy the thing I was singing my sister my dance song because I wasn't sure if she'd know the song by name (it was honey honey from mamma mia- our parents aren't fans so I've only seen it once and I'm not sure she's seen it at all) and the cashier looked up and asked if I was a singer because "sounds like it" and I'll be riding that high for the next week thank you random cashier🙏
Once in seventh grade Spanish I was struggling on a test. I couldn't remember the Spanish translation for "pencil sharpener". I looked around the room in desperation. Directly behind me was a pencil sharpener, labeled with the Spanish translation. I thought about it for a moment and simply wrote down "I do not remember."
We got our tests back a week later and my teacher marked that question correct. I went to her desk and told her she messed up the grades, i obviously got that one wrong.
She told me she gave me the points because I was honest. I knew she knew the answer was right behind me. She knew I knew she knew.
Ever since then honesty has deadass been the best policy for me
(Came to mind because I couldn't remember how to smth on a math test today and I just wrote "I cannot remember how to do this problem." Honesty hasn't gotten me any points since seventh grade but never hurts to try?)
