I see this question all the time.
“Whats the point of labels? Microlabels just make things more complicated.”
“There’s no need for more then a few labels. Just use one or two labels.”
And there are a few big reasons why people use microlabels, or may use many labels. I can speak from personal experience, as I use 24 labels for my orientation!
1. Microlabels let people be specific.
Not all people care about being specific, or a simple labels like gay or bi is specific enough for them. But sometimes hetero, bi, gay, pan or omni are not specific enough.
Someone may have also have split attraction. They may be heterosexual, panromantic and andro-aesthetic. They may be conformable with just being called panromantic, but some people may not feel comfortable with that label, or don’t feel represented in just that one label.
Labels are a type of expression and representation. Someone may not feel like the word “bisexual” represents their full attraction. They may feel like their sexuality is fluid, flux, free, spiritual, etc. and that is not “traditionally represented in the word bisexual. They may feel like the word bisexual is restricting, may give people a false idea about them if they use bisexual.
Some people feel comfort in having one label and like not being specific (or feel like one label is specific enough), but some people fine comfort in microlabels.
This is the same for gender labels. “Transman” may not feel personal enough, or may lead people to make ideas about them, disregarding the spiritual, fluid, flux, free, feminine, etc. part of their identity as a man. That’s why some may use labels like boyflux, deaboy, magiboy, etc. When one says, “I’m a man” people are usually lead to believe that they are masculine, binary, stable (not fluid/flux/fluix), and that cuts out the deep, personal, etc. part of their identity that doesn’t naturally come with the idea of being a man.
2. Someone may fit multiple labels.
Many people find a few labels they fit and are comfortable with that one label.
But some people may feel like they fit both pansexual and bisexual. Or they may be genderfluid, but don’t feel comfortable with genderfluid, and would rather describe themselves as female, demigender, novigender and agender all at the same time.
Someone may also still be questioning themselves. They may be questioning between agender, demigender and dryagender, and feel comfortable with using all of those terms.
3. It makes people more comfortable.
The soul purpose of labels is to make people more comfortable with themselves and to represent themselves.
Whether its “I’m a lesbian transwoman” or “I’m a gynosexual idemromantic pangender boyflux person.”
You should use whatever labels you fit, and however many you want.
If anyone tries to stop you from using “micro Tumblr labels”, ignore them and just remember that those labels are for you, and you use them for you.
They do not effect anyone else.
They are tools for you to feel more at home in your body and mind.
TW: MEANSPO
i saw a meanspo post a little while ago that talked about how all that delicious, tempting food will inevitably become disgusting, greasy, yellow fat.
now i can’t look at the food i crave without seeing lumpy piles of oily fat.
i wanted to make a similar post to motivate myself.
pizza! a classic. warm, cheesy, comforting, and greasy. so greasy. that isn’t just pizza.
it’s fat. grease and cheese and bread makes yellow bubbles under your skin that swell until you’re back where you started.
ice cream tacos? i’ve never had one, but they look delicious. just look at all that sugar and chocolate and all those carbs. carbs.
carbs that soak into you and puff up your tummy, your thighs, your double chin, everything you’ve worked so hard to get rid of.
donuts! my weakness. a million flavors of crispy, soft, sweet.
just one of these babies has more calories than i typically eat in a day.
do you want pizza?
do you want an ice cream taco?
do you want a donut?
is this what you want?
that isn’t food. it’s fat.
nasty, gelatinous fat.
is this what you want?
because that’s what you’re eating every time you gorge on a high-calorie treat.
it’s never worth it.
it’s never worth sacrificing weeks of hard work for a moment or two of pleasure.
nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.
Barry Lee Loukaitis and “Rage”
Barry Loukaitis was 14 years old when he went to school carrying 2 pistols and a high powered rifle and shot his algebra teacher and 2 classmates to death on February 2nd 1996. Out of the crimes came large controversy and speculation as to what motive Loukaitis could have had. The dysfunction of his family, bullying he allegedly experienced at school, and his admitted mood swings were a few that commonly came up. Additionally, Loukaitis’ association with certain films and books were taken into consideration, most notably “Rage” by Stephen King, as Loukaitis referenced the book during his attack quoting “This sure beats the hell out of algebra, doesn’t it?” before shooting. He later admitted that he tried to model his life after the protagonist in the book, who had shot his two teachers and held his algebra class hostage.
Hey guys c:
I thought I’d share my recipe for spaghetti in tomato sauce with you which I’m absolutely in love with. I can finally enjoy some spaghetti without regretti (I’m sorry).
I hope you enjoy it as well!
It makes one serving and it’s only 98 calories in total!
Ingredients
200g shirataki noodles (you can get those in Asian supermarkets) ~19 kcal
5g garlic ~7 kcal
70g onion ~20 kcal
200g diced tomatoes ~50 kcal
some seasoning (I added salt, pepper, chili, frozen basil & parsley) ~2 kcal
Instruction
Rinse your shirataki noodles and put them into a non-stick frying pan. Don’t add anything else yet, we want to dry the noodles a bit to get rid of their rubber-ish texture.
In the meantime you can dice the onions and mince the garlic.
When the noodles start to shrink, you can add the garlic and the onions. Stir it from time to time and be careful to not burn them!
I usually take half of the tomatoes and blend them with an immersion blender so the sauce will be a bit creamier. I then mix the diced tomatoes and the blended ones together and add the seasoning.
When the onions start to turn a bit yellow/brown-ish you can add the sauce.
Let it cook for about 4 minutes and you’re done!
I hope you guys enjoy the recipe as well! I also made a 100 calorie stir-fry recipe.

Growing up fat, you get made fun of for everything you do, even basic shit like eating and laughing and breathing are funny when you do it because youre fat! And its so hard to not carry that with you as you get older, like I’m still embarassed to eat or dance in front of people or smile in pictures and its ridiculous and I hate it and I wish I was treated with more humanity
