The Season One Dynamic Is So Important To Me Because You Watch The First Episode And You’re Like “they’re

Somtimes I think about how Scully and Mulder could’ve just stopped talking. Because the thing that connects them is work. They are more than coworkers, they are true friends and have all the kinds of chemistry but they are connected through work. It’s their excuse. Both of them are so deep in self denial about their feelings but they have an excuse to keep seeing each other “because of work”. They totally just could’ve stopped after the x files was shut down the first time and theres a world where that might’ve happened- and I know your saying that the quest for the truth and their bond keeps them together and you’re right BUT theres a world where it doesn’t. They could’ve been each other’s one that got away. That makes me sad to think about.

I haven’t been able to bring myself to finish the txfs but after maybe six years i did finish btvs so obviously i had to find something knew (old) to watch. That would be Bones, and here is a non-conclusive list if the reactions my friends have been sent since i started it and watched 15 episodes this week:

“*booth covers bone’s face* “Do not look at Dr. Brennan!” (Why is like this- why do i like it?)”

“The way booth opens the door for bones, closes it, and then runs around the car i’m weak (bare minimum)”

“He went home with her cuz the mobs after her and she needs to be protected (which she doesn’t want to be) and he knows if she stays at the lab (where the security is really tight) she’ll work instead of sleep aww oh he got blown up”

“Guy to booth: you look like crap

Booth: a little more hospital pudding and ill be fine. Stick. With. Her. (Bones)

Guy: if thats what you want

Bones: is anyone going to ask what i want

Booth: no.

There are several times i text a quote followed by “*angry booth noises*”

“I love the running gag abt her gun and ‘he was trying to light me on fire’”

MINE IS ALSO MULDER BEING COLOR BLIND CUZ IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE

what minor "canon" thing in txf do you just choose to ignore entirely? not big stuff like william's parentage or the divorce arc etc, but something that doesn't rly affect the overall plot. mine is that i refuse to believe that mulder is red/green colorblind
