I went into the kitchen in a last ditch effort to help, and that’s when I saw it — a cracked pipe above the hydrator. There was a spanner carelessly tossed on the prep counter, so I grabbed it and leapt on top of the cooling chamber to be able to reach. It was fixed in seconds. And I knew in my heart from that day forward that I would always take a stand when courage was needed.
