think the great thing about house md is that the characters really are just like that, not even exaggerated. house does not shut up about sleeping with wilson even though he claims they’re just bros, foreman complains about medical malpractice while stealing bone marrow and switching thirteens’s placebo, cameron marries a dying man and then sleeps with chase after she’s been on meth. then they sleep together again because they’re bored of watching their patients sleep patterns. chase is a blonde australian catholic, he’s one of the best surgeons in the hospital, he also kills a dictator. wilson is just some guy who’s been arrested before. he loves monster trucks, he’s had three failed marriages, he’ll give out his organs and blood at any given moment. something so wrong with them all but i love them very much.

What do you think narrator would do if he actually interacted with Visibly Queer people? Like a drag queen or something.

Visibility is an interesting question. I mean, I don't think he'd feel the same seeing a butch lesbian as he would a feminine gay man, or a guy in drag. I mean, most gay guys often just sort of don't notice lesbians, so I'd imagine he's the same. It's not like his office job would lend to many opportunities to see one roaming around. And now this may be Controversial but the narrator is a judgemental little fuck and I don't think he'd like drag actually. I think it'd hit his hate boner for performances and gauche consumption (regardless of blah blah blah).

Otoh if he walked by a gay bar and saw some dudes lined up fit to cruise I think he would be so infinitely sad and desperate and jealous it'd be off the charts. He wants the freedom to court male attention confidently and without shame and to see some guy doing that would make him such a jealous little worm. I don't think he'd be honest with himself at all about it so he'd just be insomnia staring at them and feeling bowel clenching rage for no particular reason as far as he's concerned. I don't think he'd be thinking in an overtly homophobic way/isn't outright hating on gay dudes for being gay it's more he'd just think its coincidence and it's not his fault the guys he wants to rip limb from limb a la angel face are all gay dudes who do numbers at the bath houses.

I love the fight club Tumblr fandom I love that it is only about five people who post I love that I recognise their URLs even tho I haven't talked to them I love having parasocial attachments to all of them I love that there are only about three new things posted a day i love how intelligent all the fans are and i love how talented the fans are I love that all the fanfics have 500 hits but a so many comments and so many kudos and bookmarks goodnight i love you i will see you in my dreams sweet girls inside my phone
