ES|| Es tiempo de helados!! 🍦☀️ Yo, como no puedo comérmelos, los dibujo bien cuquis con sus pestañas largas. A decir verdad, he hecho una pandilla entera de heladitos de colores que, a pesar del calor que hace, aguantan monísimos siempre con una sonrisa en la cara. La pandilla “Helados felices” está formada por: Cream, Choco-mint, Scoops, Sprinkles, RoseBerry y Wavy. Este de aquí es “Wavy” un helado de crema de vainilla con virutas de colores, dos barquillos y un cono de galleta con sabor vainilla decorada con corazoncitos. A pesar de su aspecto, Wavy tiene un carácter tranquilo y siempre está disponible a escuchar los problemas de los otros y aconsejarlos lo mejor que sus habilidades le permitan. Es ideal saborearlo para tomarse un respiro o en un momento de llorera incontrolada.🤍

EN|| It’s ice cream season!!🍦☀️ Since I can't eat them, I draw very cute ice creams with their long eyelashes. To tell you the truth, I’ve made a whole crew of colourful fun ice creams that, despite the heat, don’t melt, instead they hold up with a smile on their face. The “Happy Ice Cream” gang is made up of: Cream, Choco-mint, Scoops, Sprinkles, RoseBerry and Wavy. This one is “Wavy,” a heart decorated vanilla cone with a vanilla flavoured wavy ice cream, sprinkles and two biscuits. Despite his appearance, Wavy has a calm demeanour and is always available to listen to other people’s problems and advise them to the best of her abilities. It’s ideal to savour it while taking a break or in a moment of uncontrolled crying.🤍

SAVE THE BEES (2019)

Bees and other insects are among the main responsible for the pollination, a vital function for biodiversity and for our food (75% of the food we consume depends on pollination) and yet they are disappearing. 40% of invertebrate pollinators, in particular bees and butterflies, face extinction. An example is a North American native bumblebee, the Bombus affinis, which since the late 1990s has reduced its population by 87%. This dangerous and sad decline is due to several causes such as the loss and deterioration of their habitats, parasites and diseases, invasive plant and animal species, the impacts of climate change and the practices of industrialized agriculture, among which the use of pesticides stands out. Let's change our consumption habits! Together we must protect the world and save the bees!🐝

Las abejas entre otros insectos son unas de las principales encargadas de la polinización de las flores, una función vital para la biodiversidad terrestre y para nuestra alimentación, ya que un 75% de los alimentos que consumimos dependen de ello, y sin embargo están desapareciendo. Un 40% de los polinizadores invertebrados, en particular abejas y mariposas, se enfrentan a la extinción. Un ejemplo es el abejorro, nativo de Norteamerica, Bombus affinis que desde finales de los años 90 hasta ahora, ha reducido su población un 87%. Este peligroso y triste declive se debe a varias causas como la pérdida y deterioro de sus hábitats, las prácticas de la agricultura industrializada, como los monocultivos y el uso de plaguicidas, los parásitos y enfermedades, las especies vegetales y animales invasoras y los impactos del cambio climático. Cambiemos nuestros hábitos de consumo! Entre todos debemos proteger el mundo y salvar a las abejas! 🐝🌻

LES MANDONGUILLES - HISTÒRIES PLANTADES (finalista beca cómic carnet jove 2017)

ES|| La ilustración de este año se la dedico a mi madre y a todas esas raíces de lucha feminista! Aunque hayamos recorrido mucho camino aun nos queda muchísimo más por luchar! En otros tiempos cuando una mujer tenia opiniones, conocimientos, sueños, o cualquier otra aspiración o comportamiento fuera de la norma establecida podía acabar en la hoguera tachada de bruja, aunque hoy en día no tenemos hogueras muchas mujeres tienen que aguantar comentarios y comportamientos sexistas, peyorativos o violentos por estas mismas razones. Yo personalmente cuando pienso en brujas no pienso en esos seres malos de los cuentos sino en las curanderas que bailaban bajo la luna en los solsticios y recogían hierbas del campo para curar casi todos los males. A ellas también les dedico esta ilustración donde las llamas de la hoguera se han trasformado en una flor de hipérico, una flor medicinal muy unida a los solsticios. EN|| This year's illustration is dedicated to my mother and to all those feminist roots! Although we’ve come a long way, we still have so much more to fight! In other times when a woman had opinions, knowledge, dreams, or any other aspiration or behavior outside the established norm, she could end up at the stake labeled a witch, although today we don’t burn people, many women have to put up with sexist, violent or derogatory comments and behavior because of these same reasons. Personally, when I think of witches, instead of those evil beings on tales I visualize the healers who danced under the moon at the solstices and gathered herbs from the field to cure almost all ills. I also dedicate to them this illustration where the flames have been transformed into a St. John's wort flower, a medicinal flower closely linked to the solstices celebrations.

ESP || Mi sueño desde siempre es tener un gato... Y muchas plantas! Esta ilustración es especial ya que hacía muchísimo tiempo que no hacía una ilustración toda en técnicas tradicionales! Hoy he desempolvado el gouache, las acuarelas y los lápices de colores y he celebrado el día del gato con una ilustración rápida hecha en menos de una hora... Espero que os guste!!😺

ENG|| My dream has always been to have a cat ... And many plants! This illustration is special since it has been a long time since I did an illustration all in traditional techniques! Today I dusted off the gouache, watercolors and colored pencils and celebrated the international day of the cat with a quick illustration done in less than an hour... I hope you like it !!😺

EN|| I’m so excited to share another one of the pieces that will be in @gallerynucleus Power In Numbers 7 collective exhibition alongside a ton of amazing artists! This time is a little snail loving her life surrounded by bees and pomegranades! In this close up you can see next to the illustration the color tests I did while I was painting. 🐌♥️ All the postcards are 5”x7” and made using gouache, watercolor, neocolors, polychromos and watercolor pencils. The show will debut in person only and is cash and carry, meaning once a piece is purchased the buyer takes it home with them rather than be on display the duration of the entire show. The earlier people come, the more they can see! Opening reception is September 3rd 5:00PM - 8:00PM in Alhambra, CA. You can find more information about the event in the gallery’s web. ES|| ¡Estoy súper emocionada de compartir otra de las piezas que estarán en la exposición colectiva “Power In Numbers 7” en @gallerynucleus junto a un montón de artistas más! ¡Esta vez se trata de un pequeño caracol que ama su vida rodeado de abejas y granadas! En este primer plano podéis ver junto a la ilustración las pruebas de color que hice mientras pintaba. 🐌♥️ Todas las postales hacen 5”x7” (12.7 x 17.78 cm) y están realizadas con gouache, acuarela, neocolores, polychromos y lápices acuarelables. El espectáculo debutará solo en persona y es “cash and carry”, lo que significa que una vez que alguien compra una pieza, el comprador se la lleva a casa en lugar de estar en la exhibición toda su duración. ¡Cuanto antes vayáis, más piezas podréis ver! CAT || Mai m'ha agradat massa com va la llegenda del caballer sant jordi… La meva llegenda de Sant Jordi particular és la de la dragona Jordina que va llegir tants llibres que es va quedar dormida en un camp de rosers! Va tenir somnis preciosos on viatjava a terres llunyanes, coneixia animals salvatgement suaus i tothom reciclava molt! La cultura és un generador de somnis on tot és pot fer realitat! Culturitzem-nos, la cultura ens farà forts com una dragona! Feliç Sant Jordi a totes i tots!! 📚🐉🌷

ESP || Mi leyenda de Sant Jordi es la de la dragona Jordina que leyó tantos libros que se quedó dormida en un campo de rosales! Tuvo sueños preciosos donde viajaba a tierras lejanas, conocía animales salvajemente suaves y todo el mundo reciclaba mucho! La cultura es un generador de sueños donde todo se puede hacer realidad! Culturizemonos, la cultura nos hará fuertes como una dragona! Feliz Sant Jordi/dia del libro a todas y todos!!📚🐉🌷

ENG || In Catalonia on April 23th we celebrate Sant Jordi, a day of roses and books! My legend of Sant Jordi is that of the dragon Jordina who read so many books that she fell asleep in a field of roses! She had beautiful dreams where she traveled to distant lands, she knew wildly soft animals and everyone recycled a lot! Culture is a generator of dreams where everything can come true! Culture will make us strong like a dragon! Happy Sant Jordi/ Day of the book to all! 📚🐉🌷
