Forest’s fruits summer || Verano de frutas del bosque || Estiu de fruites del bosc (2019)

Aunque ya estamos en otoño pensando en murciélagos, calabazas y mantas calentitas os traigo otra ilustración de la serie de refrescos veraniegos: el refresco antioxidante de frutos de bosque, cerezas y menta! Si pudiera me comería estás frutas del bosque todo el año, y qué mejor que mezclar-las con unicornios! Tengo que confesar que quizás una de las cosas que más me gusta del verano es la variedad de frutas de temporada que hay, las cerezas son unas de mis preferidas! (aunque quizás sean una fruta más de primavera...) Esta serie de ilustraciones la empecé en plena ola de calor pero como os conté en el post anterior he estado muy liada con un proyecto sobre libros (que espero poder enseñar prontito) y tuve que dejar los cócteles fiesteros un poco apartados ... pero me gusta demasiado dibujar mis albondiguillas y sus brazos extremadamente largos así que la serie continuará aunque sea acompañada del nórdico y una deliciosa infusión... 🍓🍒☕

Although it's autumn and we're already thinking about bats, pumpkins and warm blankets I bring you another illustration of the summer soda series. I could eat these fruits of the forest all year long, and what better to mix them with unicorns! I have to confess that perhaps one of the things I like the most about summer is the variety of seasonal fruits that offers, cherries are one of my favorites! (although they may be more of the spring season...) I started this series of illustrations in the middle of the summer heatwave but as I told you in the previous post I've been very occupied with a project about books (which I hope you can see soon) and I had to set aside partying cocktails ... but I love to draw my little meatballs and their extremely long arms too much so the series will continue even if I have to draw new cocktel sodas accompanied by my duvet and a delicious warm infusion ...🍓🍒☕

ESP|| No sé si soy yo o el tiempo esta un poco loco, un día voy en tirantes i pantalones cortos y el otro voy más abrigada que este dinosaurio! Diría que ya podemos guardar las bufandas en el armario hasta el año que viene pero no lo tengo tan claro… ❄️☀️🌜 Os gusta este personajillo? Lleva escondido des de principios de año, a diferencia de mi, ella ve que nieva y no piensa en hibernación, si no que coge su patinete y sale a intentar ser mas veloz que el viento! Pequeño esbozo realizado en @procreate inspirado a partes iguales en el emoticono de Whatsapp que me encanta y me tenia obsesionada hasta que descubrí los stickers de Telegram, en Piecito de “En busca del valle encantado” (una memoria lejana de mi infancia) y en @animalsmechanic 🦕 ENG|| I don't know if it's me or the weather is a bit crazy, one day I'm wearing tank tops and shorts and the other I'm wearing more scarves, coats, sweaters,… than this dinosaur! I would say that we can keep the scarves in the closet until next year, but I'm not so sure anymore... ❄️☀️🌜 Do you like this character? She has been hiding since the beginning of the year, unlike me, she sees that it’s snowing and she doesn’t think about hibernation instead she takes her longboard and goes out to try to be faster than the wind! ES|| Ya quedan poquitos días para Sant Jordi, la fiesta del libro y la rosa, esos días en los que las calles de Barcelona se llenan de historias, de paginas y de vida. Siempre me ha gustado imaginar que los días de después son como en esta ilustración, todo de gente con sus libros nuevos, regalados o prestados leyendo en cada rincón posible, entrando y saliendo de esos mundos invisibles contenidos en unas cuantas paginas de papel. Esta ilustración ya tiene unos cuantos años pero aún no había visto la luz. Forma parte de ese tipo de trabajos que haces y parece que no van a acabar nunca. En este caso, entre covid y las peripecias de la vida, quedó en el aire, con un futuro incierto… Quizás algún día acabe publicada en el formato para el que estuvo pensada, pero, mientras tanto, podéis disfrutar de este trocito y imaginaros de que trata cada uno de los libros que están leyendo los personajes! Espero que disfrutéis estos días de pascua y, por que no, que leáis muchos libros mientras os tomáis un ratito de relax. ☀️ EN|| There’re only a few days left for Sant Jordi, the festival of the book and the rose, those days when the streets of Barcelona are filled with stories, pages and life. I’ve always liked to imagine the days after this festival like in this illustration, with all the people with their new books, reading in every possible corner, entering and leaving those invisible worlds contained in a few pages of paper. This illustration is already a few years old but it hadn't seen the light of day yet. It’s part of that type of work you do and it seems that it’ll never end. In this case, between covid and the vicissitudes of life, it was left up in the air, with an uncertain future... Perhaps one day it’ll end up published in the format for which it was intended, but in the meantime, you can enjoy this close up and imagine what kind of books every character is reading! I hope you enjoy these Easter days and, why not, you read many books while you take a little while to relax.☀️

BALLENAS DE PLÁSTICO || PLASTIC WHALES || BALENES DE PLÀSTIC (2019)

ESP || Este pasado 8 de Junio fue el día mundial de los océanos y la semana del boicot al plástico, un gesto necesario que se tendría que llevar a nuestro día a día, reducir el consumo de plástico. Una semana al año no es suficiente para la salud del planeta tierra y sobretodo para salvar la vida marina. Cada año hasta 12 millones de toneladas de basura, llegan a los océanos y mares donde los plásticos representan entre un  60% i un 80% de los residuos marinos. Todos estos plásticos perjudican seriamente la salud de los ecosistemas acuáticos y la supervivencia de las especies que los pueblan. Particularmente perjudiciales son los microplasticos (fragmentos inferiores a 5mm) que se pueden generar a partir de la rotura de trozos grandes de plásticos, como los generados con el desgaste de las camisetas, o haber sido fabricados directamente así, como en el caso de las microesferas presentes en productos de higiene y limpieza (exfoliantes, pasta de dientes, etc.), ya que al ser ingeridos por los animales marinos provocan bloqueos gastrointestinales y alternaciones en sus patrones de reproducción y alimentación. Además hay estudios que evidencian que estos microplasticos se van transfiriendo a lo largo de la cadena alimentaria. Entre un 21% y un 54% de estas partículas en el mundo se encuentran en la cuenca del mar Mediterráneo. Por otro lado, los macroplasticos (fragmentos mayores de 25mm) como bolsas de plástico, redes de pesca, botellas, etc. También impactan la vida marina incluyendo los mamíferos marines, las aves marinas y la fauna sésil (corales), ya que son causantes de enredos, asfixia, estrangulación y malnutrición. Es destacable que, aproximadamente, un 17% de las especies que ingieren o se enredan con desechos marinos aparecen en la lista roja de especies amenazadas de la unión internacional para la conservación de la naturaleza. ENG || This past June 8 was the #worldoceansday and it has been all about reducing plastic consumption, a necessary gesture that should be taken to our day to day. One week a year is not enough for the health of the planet earth and above all to save marine life. Every year up to 12 million tons of garbage reach the oceans and seas. Plastics represent between 60% and 80% of marine waste. All these plastics seriously damage the health of aquatic ecosystems and the survival of the species that inhabit them. The microplastics are fragments of plastic smaller than 5mm that can be generated from the breakage of large pieces of plastics or manufactured directly like this, as in the case of microspheres present in hygiene and cleaning products (exfoliants, toothpaste, etc.). this type of plastics are particularly harmful since when ingested by marine animals it causes gastrointestinal blockages and alternations in their reproduction and feeding patterns. In addition there are studies that show that these microplastics are being transferred along the food chain. Between 21% and 54% of these particles in the world are found in the Mediterranean Sea. Furthermore macroplastics (fragments larger than 25mm) such as plastic bags, fishing nets, bottles, etc. also impact marine life including marine mammals, seabirds and sessile fauna (corals), as they cause entanglement, suffocation, strangulation and malnutrition. It’s noteworthy that, approximately, 17% of the species that ingest or become entangled with marine waste appear on the red list of endangered species of the international union for the conservation of nature. ESP || Si no cuidamos nuestro planeta quien lo hará? Siempre he sido una enamorada de la naturaleza por este motivo ha sido un placer aportar mi granito de arena para intentar concienciar sobre el importante problema que generan los plásticos sobretodo cuando acaban en el mar destrozando todo el ecosistema marino. Evitemos los plásticos de un solo uso para tener un océano limpio y lleno de vida, un pequeño gesto puede hacer mucho! 🐋💙 

ENG || If we don't take care of our planet who will do it? I have always loved nature for this reason it has been a pleasure to try to raise awareness about the important problem that plastics generate, especially when they end up at sea destroying the entire marine ecosystem. Let's avoid single-use plastics to have a clean and full of life ocean. A small gesture can do a lot! 🐋💙

ES || Han vuelto los pajaritos a mi balcón! De momento ni rastro del mirlo que venia siempre pero sí que han vuelto los demás adorables pajaritos. Me podría pasar horas viéndolos correr por la barandilla y los troncos de las plantas! Vosotros también necesitáis bufandas calentitas como este pajarito, para salir a la calle estos días de fresquito? ❄️ EN || The birds who used to visit me in my balcony are back! At the moment there’s no sign of the blackbird that always came by but the other adorable little birds have returned. I could spend hours watching them run up the railing and the plants! Do you also need warm scarves to go out on these cool days like this little blackbird? ❄️
