I don't usually do portraits and many of my illustrations are composed of details too small to show their characters faces, so... I join #faceyourart with a few funny, happy meatball faces!

Happy lunar new year!! I wish you all a wonderful year of the wood sssssnake! Let’s hope this creature brings us good luck and new beginnings.

My version of this year's wooden snake is accompanied by kittens so that it doesn't feel lonely. I started a bit stuck with the composition of the snake, because I didn't want it to look like last year's dragon, at first all the compositions seemed a bit bland to me and finally I decided to put the cats as sweet companions (like the rabbits last year) and the frame around it.

If you look at the frame, I have drawn the different lunar phases and different typical elements of each season of the year. Can you find them all?🐍♥️

ESP || Aunque hace años que hice esta ilustración, sigue siendo una de mis ilustraciones preferidas, si no la que más. Es una ilustración muy sentimental, que siempre llevaré en el corazón, ya que es un retrato de un animalito con el que conviví varios años, una dragoncita con la cola cortada que nadie quería, además justamente hice esta ilustración justo después de que mi querido dragón “pasara a otra vida”. Este mes hace años que nos abandonó así que no hay mejor momento para recordarla! Seguro que habría sido muy feliz en una selva salvaje como ésta! ♥️🌻 ENG || Although I made this illustration years ago, it's still one of my favorite illustrations, if not the most. It's a very sentimental and emotional illustration, one which I will always carry in my heart, since it's a portrait of a little animal with whom I lived together for several years, a little dragon with a severed tail that nobody wanted, and furthermore I made this illustration right after my dear dragon "Pass to another life." This month it's the anniversary of her passing so there's no better time to remember her! Surely she would have been very happy in a lovely and wild jungle like this!♥️🌻

Se trata de una preciosa greyhound adoptada que es más feliz que una perdiz si la dejas subir a un sofá. Su nombre le va como anillo al dedo, se llama “Haizea”, viento en euskera. Qué bonito es poder dar una segunda vida a un animal en apuros. Si estáis pensando en compartir vuestra vida con un animalito no lo compréis, recordad que hay muchas asociaciones y protectoras como @sosgalgos @galgos112oficial @galgo.espanol.espana @galgosdelsol , que luchan por los derechos de los animales, donde podéis adoptar. Los animales no son un negocio, un objeto o un capricho que comprar y, cuando ya no nos satisface como querríamos, tirarlo o abandonarlo. ESP || Mi sueño desde siempre es tener un gato... Y muchas plantas! Esta ilustración es especial ya que hacía muchísimo tiempo que no hacía una ilustración toda en técnicas tradicionales! Hoy he desempolvado el gouache, las acuarelas y los lápices de colores y he celebrado el día del gato con una ilustración rápida hecha en menos de una hora... Espero que os guste!!😺

ESP || Este año parece que el tiempo se ha vuelto un poco loco, el cambio climático se nota más que nunca y aunque acabamos de entrar en el mes de marzo, ya hace semanas que hay días que parece que sea primavera! Ya se pueden ver abejorros revoleteando por las mañanas buscando las flores que han florecido pronto. Este invierno ha sido uno de los menos fríos desde hace años. Hay estudios que demuestran que muchas plantas, sobre todo los arboles frutales, han avanzado la floración, por ejemplo los albaricoqueros de Ribera d’Ebre que han avanzado la floración un mes, los melocotoneros de l’Ordal que se han avanzado entre 10 i 15 días o los aguacateros de Andalucía tres semanas. Todos estos cambios pueden tener repercusiones bastante graves en los ecosistemas ya que se puede dar el caso de perder las sincronización con los, muy necesitados y en peligro de desaparición, polinizadores. Aquí os dejo un pequeño detalle lleno de abejas y abejorros de una ilustración que hice el año pasado para el día de la abeja! In the morning you can see bumblebees flying and looking for some flowers that have bloomed early. This winter has been one of the hottest for years. Many studies show that a lot of plants, especially fruit trees, have advanced flowering, for example the apricot trees of Catalunya have advanced flowering one month, also in Catalunya, the peach trees, have advanced between 10 and 15 days and avocado trees in Andalucía have done the same by three weeks. All these changes can have quite serious repercussions on ecosystems since it may cause the lost of synchronization with pollinators which are in danger of extinction themselves. Here you can see a little close up, full of bees and bumblebees, of an illustration that I made last year for bee day! 

CAT || Aquest any sembla que el temps s'ha tornat una mica boig, el canvi climàtic es nota més que mai i encara que acabem d'entrar al mes de març, ja fa setmanes que hi ha dies que sembla que sigui primavera! Ja es poden veure borinots volant als matins buscant les flors que han florit aviat. Aquest hivern ha estat un dels menys freds des de fa anys. Hi ha estudis que demostren que moltes plantes, sobretot els arbres fruiters, han avançat la floració, per exemple els albercoquers de Ribera d'Ebre que han avançat la floració un mes, els presseguers de l'Ordal que s'han avançat entre 10 i 15 dies o els aguacaters d'Andalusia tres setmanes. Tots aquests canvis poden tenir repercussions bastant greus en els ecosistemes ja que es pot donar el cas de perdre les sincronització amb els, molt necessitats i en perill d'extinció, pol·linitzadors. Aquí us deixo un petit detall ple de abelletes, borinots i papallones d'una il·lustració que vaig fer l'any passat per al dia de l'abella!
