My man Jimmy is putting together a zine called Bits & Multiples of 8 for video game fan art from the original Nintendo system to Nintendo 64 (Sega + Playstation included), and he's just put out a call for submissions on his blog! The cover features characters from tons of games (see if you can name them all) and will make a lovely 4-color screen print on a lovely zine full of lovely work. Check it out! It'll be rad.
cotton candy magic wand pin! I made a super-limited set of these hard enamel pins that will be available at SPX on 9/19!
For Valentines Day I give you a galactic prince reclining on a nebula. Space flowers are perfect for pondering the timeless "She loves me, she loves me not. She loves me, she loves me not..."
Not a question, but... beautiful work, keep it up!
thanks very much! I shall!
Hey, I'm a sophomore at MICA and I'll hopefully be taking your digital illustration class next semester. I thought your name sounded familiar and when I looked you up I saw that I've already been following you on tumblr, which was a really weird small-world moment. I just wanted to say hi, I love your work, and that I hope I can get into your class before it fills up!
Thanks! I hope you can too, but I think it HAS filled up already (my gosh!).
We’re snowed-in here in Baltimore, and it’s making me miss warmer weather, green things, flora...
So here is a beer label I designed and illustrated for Union Craft Brewing’s special spring-time saison that they crafted exclusively for Atomic Books in Hampden. A wonderful pairing of comics “for mutated minds” and a light, fruity ale.
I've always wanted to illustrate beer and wine labels and this was a really fun way to dip my toe in. I hope I get the chance to do more!
hey is damn fine coffee available to buy on the internets? co-workers all over the place be askin where they can get their hands on it !!!
Oh man! Excellent!
So here's the status on Damn Fine Coffee!: Right now, I'm sorting and mailing out the books already spoken for from my Kickstarter campaign. Once those are set aside, I'll be putting the books online to sell. I should have something around 150 available (a more accurate quantity pending), and they'll be $10 before shipping. So check back soon! I'll be posting again with an update and link to buy the books in the next few days. Thanks!
"I'll shove that bat up your ass and turn you into a popsicle."
The Warriors. is. my. favorite. movie. of. all. time.
This is my tshirt design for another Pizza Party Printing movie night at the Ottobar here in Baltimore. On Sunday, April 28th, they'll be presenting the best movie of all time, The Warriors, along with another best movie of all time, The Road Warrior so you'd best soldier over to this one. Admission (and pizza) is free as always, and BASEBALL TEES of my design as well as regular tees of Jimmy Giegerich's utterly rad Road Warrior shirt will be on sale. SO...
Come out to playy-ayyy!
Happy Inception Day, Roy Batty
"Pest Control", my piece for the LADY KNIGHTS // WOMEN WARRIORS zine by Abby Boeh, Roxie Vizcarra, and Julia Scott coming out at MoCCA this April. No three-eyed tusk-mawed pest is a match for this bitchin babe exterminator.
She's also the star of an upcoming comic I hope to have all ready for SPX this year. That's the plan anyhow! We'll see...In any case, she's a little too rad for me to ignore.
New illo for BUST appearing in the current Aug/Sept issue on stands now. This one's about the trend of so-far pretty vanilla Disney-grown actresses starring in "bad girl" movies like Spring Breakers and The Bling Ring. Thanks to AD Lan Turong.
