An idea I have is that Inho wants to try and get close to Gihun so he disguises himself as human. It ends up working cuz Gihun definitely isn’t the smartest 😅

One of the things I love most about the Squid Game fandom is that we all collectively decided that In-ho ordered his guards not to injure Gi-hun upon his return.

We all watched that scene where In-ho shot his own guard and we went "Oh yeah, someone defied their orders, didn't they". This is hive mentality at its peak and I love that for us.

Gi-hun, while his other hand cuffed, looks into In-ho’s eyes, his other hand reaching the other man’s face “This isn’t you, In-ho, look at me!” Gi-hun says, batting his eyelashes that make In-ho stop the games.

Imagine if it was the Salesman that Inho tasked to try and distract Junho/keep him from investigating the games instead of the boat captain, and the Salesman does too good of a job (they hook up repeatedly and then proceeds to actually get into a relationship).

Inho, who's keeping tabs on his brother's social media accounts across all platforms, sees one day that Junho posts a photo of them together with the caption "one year anniversary with this weirdo ❤️" and flips the fuck out, because that was not the deal.

And that ironically is what gets Inho to finally show up in his full Frontman getup, kidnap Junho in that limo, and tell his baby bro very very seriously that he has to break up with his boyfriend because that man is a freak. Stranger danger.

(Salesman probably fake cries to Junho about how Inho threatened him and the Hwang bros get into a shouting match, and Junho gets to say the classic rebellious teenage girl line of "you don't get to tell me what to do, you're not my dad!" and Inho goes quiet and cries a little on the inside.)

Ways I notice Gi-hun has changed:

- rarely eats. we see him eating all the time before and during the games of season 1, but never saw him eating this season. he is noticeably skinnier

- his facial expressions and moods are only of sadness, distress, and anger. we only see him smile 3 times. no other emotion is seen on his face, unlike how he was before where he was very expressive. he still is, but the range of the emotions are so small.

-he doesn’t move around as much, like every ounce of energy is drained from him

-he has more of a smoking habit

-this man does absolutely no relaxing. you can tell how tense his body and mind is at all times

-he’s learned how to defend himself better

-he has no one, and i mean absolutely no one by his side in those three years between the games. he has jung bae for a little while, but he loses him too.

-there is no light in his eyes anymore

-he doesn’t talk as often as he used to, and when he does it’s pretty monotone compared to how he used to talk

Basically the games sucked every drop of light out of this man and we will never get the old gi hun back. I mourn this loss every day.
