Btw, I find it extremely ironic how Gi-hun became the scapegoat of the fandom, who blames him for literally anything instead of blaming the system.
Just like in real life people blame and fight each other instead of fighting the system that makes our lives shitty.
I guess it's because it's easier.
one thing i find interesting abt in-ho is how he says "i sincerely hoped you'd live a good life (after winning the games)" (paraphrasing) to gi-hun, but like. in-ho didn't do that himself after winning the games. outside of being the frontman, he lives in a small shitty apartment, isolates himself from his family, etc. much like how gi-hun lives in the abandoned love-hotel, isolates himself from his friends and family, etc. they're so alike in so many ways. i think that in-ho had probably hoped that gi-hun could live the happy life that he wasn't able to, but also probably wasn't surprised when gi-hun didn't move on much like how he didn't move on himself.
WAHHHHH IM GONNA BE SICK STOP
Reminder that this was how Junho looked when he found out the frontman was his brother.
And this was how Inho looked after he shot his little brother.
Now, imagine their reunion in season 3.
My headcanon is that this is the moment in-ho started taking an interest in gi-hun:
Because it was such an unusual thing to do. An unusually kind thing to do. In a moment where you couldn't really blame anyone for pairing up with someone they thought would help them survive (most people would prioritize their own lives in this moment, it's completely natural), gi-hun instead chose to extend his hand to the elderly man he had befriended because he couldn't bear to see him left alone without a partner. Even if it meant gi-hun himself would be at a severe disadvantage for the next game.
I like to think this is the moment that made in-ho pause and realize there is something different about gi-hun.
