but seeing how all major targ team black members were massacred by the end of the war (Rhaenyra, Rhaenys, Daemon, the strong Boys, Nettles who just vanishes, and all their dragons dead) you have to be kinda delusional to look at all that devastation and go:

The whole point of this conflict is to showcase how destructive and useless these type of wars are, but apparently all the blacks care about is the fact that the kid who sat the iron throne at the end of it was Nyra's son.

My hot take on the AOTNR project: A huge portion of the "tHiS iS sOoO dIsReSpEcTfUl tO tHe AuThOR" commenters actually don't care about it at all, and instead they either:

a) feel insecure that their canon ship may be somehow threatened by this doujinshi,

b) liked the original ending, but hate to be disagreed with (or need to be validated) and feel threatened by the amount of people who could potentially sway to the fanmade one (...or even simply start to see some plotholes/illogicalities in the original one).

Obviously, not everyone is like that, but I swear - for some, it's just so painfully obvious that their stance on the project stems from some weird insecurity issues...just get a grip. It's a fanfiction, and, despite the absurd claims some people make, nobody is forcing it on you. There are 93737282928272 other fan-made projects, be it stories, comics or animations online, it's really not that deep. You don't have to look it up, read it or interact with its fans. You don't have to flaunt how you didn't read it (obviously!) but saw the screenshots and thought it was terrible. You don't have to mock the people who enjoyed it or the team who worked on it. You're not cool, neither some knight in shining armor. You just look ridiculous, if not even desperate.

Now, I'm a huge advocate for polite discussion and constructive criticism. If you read the work and see any issues with it, it's okay to talk about it or simply voice your opinion in a civil way. However, if you do it the way stated above, then that's kind of pitiful and maybe you should rethink why are you so insecure about a piece of fiction...🤷

I honestly can't even imagine what must have gone through Criston's mind after Rhaenyra rejected him. Like, the dude had risked everything for her! Viserys would have 100% tortured and killed him for "ruining" his daughter, and she just didn't give a shit.

I think that's one of the biggest representation of Rhaenyra's immaturity and recklessness. The girl believes she can dump others without consequences for her or them after getting what she wanted out of the relationship. She really is a spoiled brat and I blame it all on her deadbeat dad. 'Cause Viserys only knows two types of parenting:

Completely ignore your kids because you didn't have them with your first wife.

Or put them on a pedestal, say they can do no wrong, always cover up for their mistakes so they never suffer the consequences of their actions and side with them even when they're clearly in the wrong.
