WIP game: coffee shop au, please!

(All of these look really interesting! 👀)

I'm not completely happy with the execution, but the basic Idea is a Coffee Shop AU (duh), probably no Powers, where Clint, Maya Lopez, Bucky and probably others work in a Café that specializes in accessibility. It's close to the University and Foggy has been going there for a while. He recommended it to Matt mostly because he's trying to set him up with Clint and that's where the story starts right now.

Like I said, I'm not happy with it yet and I still have to figure out the logistics and accommodations a Café like that would need.

But anyway, here's the first few paragraphs:

On a cold morning in early December, Clint was standing behind the counter of Double Shot Coffee. The typical morning crowd was already mostly gone, and Clint finally had a moment to drink his own coffee and chat with his coworker. Bucky had taken over the morning shift for Maya, and since their schedules usually didn’t line up, they had a lot to catch up on. While complaining about a professor who wouldn’t stop bugging him, Bucky stopped mid-sentence and signed "Bell." Clint looked over to the door and saw a young man enter. He was wearing a warm winter coat and dark-tinged glasses. At first, Clint was confused about the sunglasses on a cloudy day until he noticed the white cane the man was holding in his gloved right hand. He frowned and turned to complain to Bucky, but the latter was on his way to one of the tables to help a customer. Clint didn’t have a choice but to take the new guy's order himself. It wasn’t that he had a problem with blind people, because he really didn’t. The thing was just that he really didn’t want to talk today. He took a long sip of his coffee, preparing to talk to the guy. As usual, he didn’t wear his hearing aids; the café specialised in accessibility, after all, so he didn’t need them most of the time. The only times when he regretted being so uncomfortable just talking to his customers were situations like right now, when he had blind customers and no one was around to deal with them but him.

WIP Warrior

This is my first time playing this, yay!

Every vote = I'll add 200 words to the corresponding fic🥰 There's a bit of a mix here, mostly new WIPs with a few older ones / ongoing series' as well.

Since my own Jonathan is so much OOC he is basically an OC himself, I gotta ask: Do you have any vampire/immortal OCs (or if you don't, who of your OC's would turn into one for whatever reason, be it survival, power, accident etc 👀)

I have a lot of Immortal OCs! Valus, Judge, Cedric, Mako, Cicero, and my Horror monster duo can live forever.

I did, once, have a vampire OC. I haven't been using him, but he exists. His name is Aramastus. He was an older man, lots of tattoos, definitely a dilf. But I stopped playing DnD so he stopped getting used. I only have 1 Pic of him and its a commission. I bought it from Aperns on Artists and Clients :)

HOLY COW I MEANT TO POST THIS MONTHS AGO This is art for @42donotpanic's fic Seeing the Darkness - Hearing the Silence! We were paired together for the Marvel Rare Pair Big Bang and I completely forgot to post the art after... so at this point it's just fan art for this incredible story!! It's not my proudest piece, this story deserves something a lot better, but I hope it still captures a bit of the concept! (please go read the fic, I love everything that 42 writes with these characters, they are utterly fantastic and know the characters so well!!)

Writing Reflection

After I got back into writing fic this year it was something I really enjoyed all throughout this year. I discovered a bunch of fun challenges and servers, met many lovely people (sadly all online) and learned a lot. I have hyperfocused a lot, especially in the summer and I collected a boatload of prompts I would like to fill in the coming year.

I have a lot of fics already planned for the next year. There will be a lot of feels, fluff and angst/whump alike and I hope I can keep the run I had this year going.

A big thank you to everyone who supported me along the way, be it with ducking/spaghettiing fic ideas, sprinting with me, participating in challenges, commenting, sharing or even just reading and liking my fics. You folks mean the world to me and I love every single one of you. Take care and remember, as long as you do what you love you get a good grade in fandom <3

Happy 2024 Fic Challenge!

@jandjsalmon and I are here with the new fic reading challenge for 2024! Heck yeah! Jandy did most of the work this year, I'll be honest, and the new challenge looks great!

For the uninitiated, basically there's a bunch of tasks to complete as you read fanfiction over the year. For example, read x number of authors, read a new ship, read a fic with x in the title, etc.! It can be a fun way to challenge yourself, or to help you read more, or to discover new things you might never have tried!

But here, without further ado...
