Mohawk Mark

Pt. 2 Invincible Variants X Fem! Reader

“I can’t believe I lost all my files,” you murmured.

“That’s what you’re worried about?” He asked. “I thought not dying should be at the top of your list.”

You both were still outside the prison facility. You dusted off your clothes before standing up, turning away from him, and walking off.

“And where do you think you’re going?”

He was now in front of you, floating slightly off the ground. You stopped and responded simply.

“Far away from here.”

As you continued to move forward, he moved backwards, still in front of you as he spoke.

“Feel free to walk. But you won’t get far without shoes.”

You frowned. Why was he your voice of reason now?

As you took a step forward, this time he didn’t move, you bumping right into him. Irritation flashed on your face and he smiled.

“Calm down...” His arms wrapped around your waist as he leaned in close. “I’ll fly you home after I’m finished.”

“As if I’d trust you,” you told him. “I don’t know why you’re- Here- But I- Would you stop kissing me?!”

He laughed and pulled just a little bit away from your lips. He didn’t move his hands though.

“My bad. What were you saying?” He asked, feigning innocence. You wanted to rearrange that face of his.

“What I was trying to say was-”

“Hold that thought.”

In an instant he shot past you, flying back towards the prison. You spun around and squinted to get a better look, noticing electricity shooting through the air in the distance.

“Powerplex?” You whispered. He was one of your patients, so you were aware of his powers.

Both were too far away to know what was going on, but judging by the electricity shooting everywhere and his laughter, you assumed they were battling.

You sighed.

“Not my problem.”

Well maybe it was. It was safe to assume your car was destroyed.

You could attempt the walk back to your home, but you lived far away, and your legs would give out at any minute now.

And you were shoeless, no less.

The adrenaline had worn off, and you slumped behind a nearby tree, opting to rest instead. If you died here, then… oh well.

“Hopefully he doesn’t take too long…” you murmured.

~

“Ah shit. Where’d she go?”

He had got caught up in battle and completely lost sight of you.

“She couldn't have gotten far…” He murmured, surveying the area in the sky. “But knowing her, maybe she did walk home.”

He paused when he noticed a familiar body curled up in a grassy area. He flew over, landing next to the tree you were near.

“Hey, you alive?”

Your eyes peeled open.

“Unfortunately…” You murmured. Either that or you were in hell.

He then picked you up, before taking off into the sky.

“Alright, point in the direction where you live,” he said. When he didn’t get a response he looked down, noticing your eyes were closing again.

You weren’t responding. His eyes widened.

“Shit! Hey! Stay with me!”

He shook you, and your eyes snapped open. Confusion crossed your face until he spoke.

“Point to where you live.”

You remained quiet for a bit, before pointing to your left.

“30 miles…Or 48 km that way.”

He then sped off, and you closed your eyes. You didn’t know how long you were flying, but when he stopped, your eyes opened again. You gave him more directions, and that eventually led to your home.

Your back door was unlocked and he made his way inside, before gently setting you down on your couch. He crouched low to look you over. You took some time to collect yourself, before shooting him a glare.

“What..?” You said, annoyance in your voice. He groaned.

“Ugh, you had better be glad I like you. I don’t normally put up with this shit.”

You frowned at his words. He sighed before one of his hands reached out, resting on your head. His voice was now calm as he looked at you.

“...You okay?”

The frown left your face, your gaze softening.

“Yeah, just tired,” you murmured. “I would thank you for bringing me home, but you were the cause of all this.”

“I mean you could still thank me.”

You smiled before replying.

“No, I don’t think so.”

He raised an amused eyebrow before standing up.

“So…” He started. “Want me to keep you company or…”

You looked away, before looking back up at him.

“If you have nothing else better to do,” you said.

He then moved close to you, and out of surprise you moved back, unknowingly giving him space. He climbed onto your couch, before casually propping his head up with his hand. The two of you now faced each other and you frowned.

“When you said 'company', I thought you meant anywhere else in my home but here,” you flatly said. He smiled.

“I thought you didn’t like me,” he teased you. You rolled over to face away from him.

“I’ll hate you again once I get some rest.”

His arm wrapped around your waist as he pulled you closer, your back now firmly against his chest.

“I should keep you up all night then…” He whispered in your ear. You immediately slapped his arm, not bothering to turn around to face him. He laughed.  “Alright, alright… Worth a shot.”

Omni Mark

Pt. 2 Invincible Variants X Fem! Reader

You abruptly shut off the news, faced with a rude awakening.

Your savior wasn’t who you thought he was.

While he did rescue you, he wasn’t exactly good. That left you with too many questions.

“I need to clear my head…” you murmured, opting for some fresh air. As you opened the window to your bedroom, you paused, noticing something sitting neatly in your driveway.

It was your car.

You furrowed your brows before racing towards your front door. As you made your way outside you circled your vehicle, your thoughts racing.

Hadn’t you abandoned this car in the city? How did it get here?

“It’s dark out, you know.”

You froze in place, recognizing the voice. It was him. As you focused on your reflection in the car window, you also noticed his reflection as well. He was floating in the air behind you as he spoke.

“Staying inside is a safer option.”

You remained in place, your back facing him as you gripped your door handle.

“Would that keep me safe from you?” You asked him. As he maintained his calm expression, you looked down. “You shouldn’t be here… I don’t want to talk to you anymore.”

“...Are you sure?”

You sighed frustratingly. If he really was a bad guy, then why did he bother to save you? Why’d he bring your car home? Maybe you’ve got it all wrong?

“I’m not sure about anything,” you admitted.

You then made your way back to your house, before motioning him to come in. You locked the door behind you and closed all your curtains.

“I assume you know what’s happening now,” he stated.

“Yes, I know lots of Invincibles are attacking places all over the world,” you said. You looked away for a bit, before looking back at him, determination on your face. “But, I know you wouldn’t do that. You’re here to help out, right?”

He gave you a small smile.

“You know that isn’t true.”

You looked away, your eyes downcast before determination immediately showed back up again.

“Maybe it isn’t. But that doesn’t matter. At least not to me.” You then began to panic. “W-what am I saying?! Of course it matters. I just…”

He saved you. Hell, you had even kissed him. You couldn’t start second guessing now.

He watched you pace around your room as you considered your options.

“Regardless.” You stopped your rant when he spoke. “I’m only here for you. Hopefully this world hasn’t treated you poorly.”

He brushed his gloved hand across your cheek and you looked away. It was really difficult to hate him.

“Well, I work a dead-end job and despise my entire existence, does that count?” You asked. He smiled.

“If you want me to get rid of anyone, then just let me know.”

Your eyes widened. He said those words so easily. He would even kill for you?

…Well there was this one coworker…

“No, you shouldn’t be hurting people!” you told him, panic in your voice. Your dark thoughts had terrified you. “I wouldn’t want you to do that!”

He then cupped your face, you looking directly at your reflection in his goggles.

“It’s who I am, Y/n. This world could burn for all I care. All I need is you.”

As he embraced you, your heart was now racing. You couldn’t get out of this mess, you were sure he wouldn’t let you. You had loved him at first, but now… you were terrified of him.

“...Is something wrong?”

Your blood ran cold when he said those words. There wasn’t an ounce of question in his voice, it was more of a calm observation.

“I’m just tired…” you lied, trying to slow your racing pulse. Your eyes frantically darted around the room as you searched for something, anything, to get you out of this mess. You had let him into your home. You trusted him.

You… still trusted him.

All he ever did was love you. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad after all…

No Goggles Invincible

Pt. 2 Invincible Variants X Fem! Reader

“We’re gonna have so much fun!!”

He was flying through the air with you in his arms. His flight pattern ranged from spirals, to spins, to abrupt zigzags. Half of the time, your eyes had trouble determining your whereabouts. The other half was spent praying you wouldn’t die.

“Where should we go first?” He asked. You didn’t know if his question was directed at you or himself. “How about a nice park? Or a restaurant? Oh- Oh! Space is pretty nice! Want to go there?”

He then zoomed upward, the air beginning to thin at an alarming rate. You gasped as you slapped his arm as many times as you could, trying to gain his attention. Thankfully he hadn’t made it anywhere near space when he paused, tilting his head.

“What’s wrong?”

You then covered your throat with both your hands. Realization crossed his face before he lowered himself back down to a breathable atmosphere. You inhaled loudly before hanging your head low, trying to catch your breath. He watched you with concern.

“Ah shit, sorry about that. I’m so used to going up there,” he said. “Are you okay?”

You were not okay. You were doomed.

He was going to kill you at this rate. And by complete accident.

“Please… Just put me back on the ground…” you said. He nodded, before descending from the sky. The second he set you on the ground was the second you moved away from him, falling onto your knees.

“Sorry, this is all kind of new to me,” he said. “I should probably treat my girlfriend better-”

“I am not your girlfriend,” you snapped at him. He smiled.

“Aww, you don’t mean that. You’re just upset! You have every right to be!”

He was constantly hugging you. And kissing you. You immediately saw red.

“Don’t touch me!!” You yelled.

“Aww pumpkin-”

“Get away from me!!”

“But-”

“Let! Go of me!!!”

He then released you, and the sudden force of you pulling away caused you to fall backwards. As you landed, you cut the side of your cheek. You wiped the area before pulling yourself up, and screaming at the top of your lungs.

“I am not your girlfriend!! And I hate you!! I hate-”

The rest of the words got caught in your throat when you saw his expression. His smile, and usual optimism, was gone. It was now replaced with a quiet, yet cold stare.

“You don’t mean that, do you?” He asked you. Even his tone had changed. It was horrifying.

You didn’t know what he would do to you, but you knew what he was capable of. All of your anger had left you and you shamefully looked towards the ground instead. Maybe your death wouldn’t be accidental after all.

“N..No. I didn’t mean that,” you said. “I was just scared.”

You remained quiet, refusing to look up at him. You were then greeted with a hug, his usual cheerfulness once again back in place.

“Aww it’s okay sweetie!! I’m sorry for scaring you!!” He told you. You leaned into him, thankful that he was now back to his usual self.

Once he finished cuddling you, he pulled away to examine the cut on your cheek.

“Let’s get that fixed up, okay?”

“O-okay.”

It didn’t take long. He had easily broken into a nearby pharmacy and grabbed a handful of things. The two of you sat in the middle of the pharmacy, and he dabbed a cotton ball on your cheek. You hissed in pain, and he laughed.

“Does it hurt that much?” He asked you. You nodded. “You’re really fragile! And really cute~”

As he placed a comically large bandage on your cheek, you immediately thanked him. He smiled as he spoke.

“Mark.”

“What?” You said, furrowing your brows.

“My name! It’s Mark. Mark Grayson.”

…Huh. That name didn’t ring a bell.

“Okay then. Thanks, Mark,” you told him. He nodded.

“What’s your name?”

Well... there was no point in lying to him.

“It’s Y/n,” you told him. He lit up.

“Hi Y/n!!” Anddd he was cuddling you again. “Let’s stick together forever, okay?”

“...O-okay.”

He was… a handful. You quickly learned that playing along was better than outright refusing his advances.

You never wanted to see that side of him again.

Goggles Invincible

“Why would you want to go home dear? You have me.”

It was difficult to convince him of anything.

You were currently sitting in his lap, your eyes focused on anything else but him. Both of you were far away from all the turmoil now, and the grassy area you were currently in was quiet.

“I wanted to say goodbye to my family,” you said. “If you say you love me, then I should at least be able to make decisions.”

It was hard to gauge his emotions while goggles covered his eyes. He was currently smiling though.

“That’s a fair point... A relationship does require input from both parties.” His hand rested on the top of your head. “Unfortunately, I don’t like your family.”

That was his way of saying that he’d kill your family on the spot. You remained quiet as he continued to speak.

“Have anything else in mind?”

What else could you think of? A frown was on your face as you finally mustered up the courage to look at him.

“I’d really wish you’d go die in a hole somewhere,” you stated. His smile had widened at that response.

“How cute. If I died, then who would take care of you, hm?”

“I am capable of handling myself.”

“I highly doubt that.” Before you could protest, his hand tugged gently at your shirt. You froze at the sudden contact. “Your clothes are covered in ash. A change in outfit would be nice, don’t you think?”

You looked away, before nodding in agreement. Your eyes were now hopeful as you spoke.

“I can go home and change-”

“No, there’s a small store nearby,” he said. Well that completely killed off your hope. “We’ll go there.”

“...Alright.”

He then lifted you into his arms before taking off into the skies. The silence was eating at you, but you refused to speak.

“Aren’t you curious about how I look?” He asked you. The thought had never crossed your mind until now. You furrowed your brows, but nodded.

He then paused his flight in midair, before pulling off the mask, the goggles leaving with it. You couldn’t stop your surprised expression.

He was… pretty good looking. Too bad his personality completely ruined that fact. He gave you a small smile.

“So, am I your type?”

You frowned.

“Unfortunately, homicidal people are not my type.”

He chuckled before pulling his mask and goggles back into place.

“I’m more of a sadist, actually,” he told you. “You know, you were much more open to me killing people in my world. I guess this version of you is more…soft.”

“I don’t know the me from your world,” you stated. “I would never approve of killing.”

“Hm…”

He landed in front of the small store, before setting you down. You noticed the store was dimly lit inside, and you tried the door.

“It’s closed,” you murmured.

His hand then burst through the front window, shattering it into pieces.

“Not anymore.”

The thought of breaking and entering didn’t sit well with you, but you needed clothes. You made your way inside, him standing right behind you. At least you wouldn’t have to worry about-

“Can I…help you?”

A new voice made you freeze in place. A worker was looking directly at the two of you, clothes in hand. She seemed to have been restocking.

“I’ll pay for the window! And the clothes!” You exclaimed, your tone panicked. “We won’t hurt you, I promise!”

“Speak for yourself…” He murmured, just loud enough for the worker to hear. She froze at his words, before responding.

“You triggered a silent alarm when you broke the glass. The police are on their way.”

“I see.” In an instant he was now standing behind the worker, resting a hand on her shoulder. He calmly spoke to you. “Y/n… Would you like me to kill this person?”

“No,” you hissed. “Let’s just get the clothes and leave.”

“That option is boring,” he stated. “How about this? Either I kill this worker right now. Or… I kill whoever shows up to the alarm.”

Your eyes widened at his words.

“Of course if you pick the second option then we’ll have to wait,” he mused.

“I won’t let you do that!” You exclaimed.

“You know you can't stop me.”

“Then… t-then I won’t choose!”

“That’s fine… I’ll just kill her. And whoever shows up.”

His hand gripped the worker's shoulder much more tightly as she yelled out in pain.

“Stop!!” you pleaded. He smiled at you, before loosening his grip.

“Make your decision, sweetheart.”

Your heart was once again racing. As your eyes shifted over to the worker, she spoke to you, the look of pure desperation in her eyes.

“Please... I have a family…”

The wailing sirens were now outside the small building. As two officers entered the store, you shut your eyes, his words ringing in your head.

~

You exited the building, clothes in hand, and a thousand yard stare on your face. He casually flicked the blood off his right hand as he spoke.

“Well, that was fun,” he said. His now clean hand then rested on the top of your head, before he leaned in, kissing the area gently. “Look on the bright side… At least you didn’t have to pay for the clothes.”

“Oh stop acting like a child. I only broke your arm.”

His words were humiliating.

You attempted to catch your breath, your back against the cold ground. He was sitting on top of you, casually continuing the one-sided conversation.

“Though I’ll admit, you were tougher than I expected,” he said.

As he pulled himself off you, you internally calmed, thankful that this nightmare was over. You then dragged yourself up into a sitting position, clutching your broken arm. When you noticed that he was smiling at your misfortune, you gritted your teeth.

“What’s the matter?” The words had left your mouth before you could even stop yourself. “Too afraid to kill me?”

The smile immediately left his face. In an instant he was once again over you, his hand harshly gripping your throat.

“Let’s get one thing straight,” he said. “I let you live because you’re the only thing that’s intriguing on this planet.”

You could barely speak now, your throat burning as you gasped for air. He was not letting up. You clawed at his glove with your one good arm. He watched your expression for a bit, before releasing his hold on you. As you choked for air, he frowned, your words ringing in his head.

Why couldn’t he just kill you?

He wanted to bash your head in. It wouldn’t be difficult. But something in the back of his mind wouldn’t let him.

“…”

He then crouched down, one of his gloved hands resting on your good arm. You froze in place at the sudden contact.

“Stop being difficult,” he told you. “You know you can't beat me.”

He then pulled you up. Your eyes remained focused on the ground as you gritted your teeth. He was right, it was hopeless.

“I know that,” you murmured. "But I can’t… I can’t let you do what you want.”

He grew silent. This was all a game to him. But to you it was… something else.

Your eyes widened when you felt his gloved hand rest gently against your face. And your heartbeat sped as he wiped away a stray tear that had slipped down your cheek. A mix of surprise and confusion was on your face, your eyes still trained on the ground.

“You shouldn’t be so quick to throw your life away,” he warned you. One of his fingers tilted your head up, and he looked you over. You frowned.

“Why… aren’t you killing me?” You asked him. He leaned in, whispering in your ear.

“Do you want me to?”

You looked away, considering his words. As you did that he grabbed your broken arm and harshly shifted it, causing you to scream out at the sudden pain. He then immediately let go, and you clutched your arm, a throbbing pain now aching the area.

“Well would you look at that? You can scream,” he said. “I’ve never put a limb back in place, but I’m sure you’ll figure out the rest.”

Your eyes just looked at him, before you realized what he meant.

You had feeling in your arm again. He had put it back in place. You were completely silent now, unable to process what was happening.

“Be sure to keep me more entertained the next time we meet,” He said. As he leaned in, you froze, before you felt his lips brush against your forehead. “I intend to make you scream more. One way or another.”

“Fuck you,” you said.

He smiled this time, not bothering to respond. He then took off straight up into the sky, before pausing for a split second, and shooting off to the right. Once he had left your field of vision you collapsed to the ground, clutching your arm.

You couldn’t believe you had survived that.

Your eyes then searched the ground below, looking for something you had lost during the battle. After some time you found your earpiece, and you hastily put it back into your ear.

“Please pick up, please…” you whispered. “Cecil? Cecil!?”

“Y/n?” His voice, and the slight static, caused you to sigh in relief. “Are you alright?”

“I encountered one of the Invincible variants. I… couldn’t beat him.” Tears spilled down your cheek now, but you maintained a calm tone as you clutched your arm.

“Jesus, Y/n. You’re alive, that’s all that matters,” Cecil said to you. “Should I send help?”

“No,” you quickly replied. “I don’t know if he’s still in the area. I’d rather be the only casualty if he is.”

“Are you injured?”

“It’s nothing too serious,” you lied. “I just need some time to recover. Don’t send anyone.”

“...Alright kid, take as much time as you need.”

The line went dead, and you pulled the earpiece out your ear before forcing yourself to stand.

“Next time…” You whispered, wiping away your tears. “I’ll be ready next time.”

~

Posting this on April 1st is wild lol. This took longer than usual to write, but I liked how all the stories turned out.

I only intended for this to have two parts. So I have no idea what I am going to write after this.

Sinister Mark

Invincible Variants X Fem! Reader Pt.1

“Oh, you’re pretty tough.”

He was terrifying.

You made the horrible mistake of attempting to trade blows with this variant clad in yellow and black. You were strong, but nowhere near his level. A single hit to your gut gave you visions of the afterlife.

It took all your strength to stay conscious.

You fell harshly to the ground, and within an instant he was on top of you.

You tried to fight him off, but his hands pinned your arms to your sides.

Blood trickled down your forehead as you breathed heavily, your eyes staring back into his black goggles.

“I’m going to kill you,” he said, almost too casually. “Scream if you want, it’ll be music to my ears.”

You couldn’t beat him, but you could endure.

Your body relaxed, your eyes unwavering. He raised a brow.

“Not going to plead for your pathetic life?”

“There’s no point,” you said. Those words felt like daggers to your throat. “Either way I die.”

His gaze flickered up to the cut on your head, noticing the wound was closing ever so slowly. A healing factor?

He then looked back at you and lifted a hand, before harshly jabbing it into your side, just below your ribcage. His fingers opened your skin easily. You gritted your teeth at the newfound pain, him examining the bloody tips of his fingers and your newly opened wound.

Was he going to torture you? Why couldn’t he just rip your head off and be done?

Every fiber of your being wanted to scream out. But you couldn’t give him the satisfaction.

He noticed that your body was already attempting to close the wound, and you shut your eyes to collect yourself. You didn’t know how long they were shut, but once you opened your eyes you were still under his gaze. A smile graced his features.

He… waited for you to collect yourself?

He then leaned in, and for the first time you were afraid of him. His tongue dragged against your forehead, licking off the blood there. His chest was dangerously close to yours, and you could feel the warmth emanating from his body.

Strange. You were certain he was a cold blooded monster.

“I don’t recall ever seeing you in my world,” he said. You felt a hand on your neck and your blood went cold. The pressure was terrifying, but he wasn’t choking you. He tilted your head up. “...Then again, I lost track after killing so many.”

His lips then locked with yours. As you tried to resist he squeezed your neck, causing you to gasp. He then shoved his tongue into your mouth, the metallic aftertaste of your blood leaving you queasy.

In the heat of the moment, you noticed that he now only had one of your arms pinned down.

You needed to stop this.

A punch was hurled at him and he easily caught it, pulling away from your lips. A cold smile graced his features.

“Feisty~” His hand rested on your shoulder and you felt something crack. You immediately lost feeling in your arm, it plopping back down to the ground beside you.

Oh God. Oh God.

Your head shifted to look at your arm. Thankfully, thankfully it was still attached.

“Now should I do your other arm?” He mused. “Or will you be good for me?”

No Goggles Invincible

Invincible Variants X Fem! Reader Pt.1

“This is so much fun!!”

This variant was wild. You didn’t even know you had even encountered him. All you saw was a destructive blur.

Tremors caused you to lose your footing and you fell flat on your face, colliding onto a nearby rock. As you pulled yourself up, you heard a distant cheerful voice and noticed something, no, someone approaching fast.

You threw your hands out in front of you, fear now overtaking your splitting headache. Your last line of defense were your words.

“Stop!!!”

That seemed to have worked because whatever was approaching suddenly halted, you feeling a strong rush of wind in the process. The force was enough to knock you over yet again, but this time someone had caught your hand, preventing your fall.

“Stop? Why?” A voice asked.

It took some time for your vision to clear, but once it did you came face to face with a person clad in blue and yellow. He was smiling at you, and a look of curiosity was in his eyes.

“Invincible…?” You asked. But he was missing his goggles. “Is that you?”

“Yep! That’s me!” He happily said. You had a terrible headache, but was glad a hero was here to help.

“I think someone’s attacking this place,” you told him. Since he was still holding your hand, you squeezed his. Concern was in your voice as you spoke to him. “Stay safe out there okay? I’d hate to see you get hurt.”

His smile widened.

“Aww! My heart! Don’t worry about me, cutie! I’m-”

[TITLE CARD]

You laughed, enjoying his enthusiasm.

“I’m well aware,” you said. He was now beaming. He let go of your hand and floated around you in circles, a smile never leaving his face.

As you wiped the small trickle of blood from your nose, he then stopped behind you, before speaking.

“But I’m actually not the Invincible you know,” he said. You froze at his words, confusion setting in.

“You’re…not?”

“Nope! Do you see all this destruction across the city? That was all me! And oh, it was so much fun!!”

Your heart dropped at the newfound knowledge.

“You did this…” you whispered.

“That’s right!”

He hoisted you into the air and spun you around, vertigo now added onto your headache. He continued to speak.

“And it was awesome! The screams, the destruction, Oh ho! I enjoyed every second of it!”

…How could someone be so sadistic? Why was he telling you this?

Only one morbid reason came to mind.

“Oh God,” you said. “You’re going to kill me, aren’t you?”

“I mean, I definitely considered it!” He admitted. The fear on your face made his smile widen in response. “...But, you’re so sweet. I’d much rather not.”

He then pressed a kiss against your cheek and you froze, hearing the “Mwah!” sound from him as he pulled away.

“I’ll just make you my girlfriend instead, okay? How’s that sound?”

Sounded like a nightmare. You were panicking now.

“What’s your name?” He asked you.

“Let me go!” You exclaimed. He laughed.

“That’s a weird name-”

“No! I said let me go!!”

“Oh, okay! You’re the boss!”

He then dropped you, the sudden fall causing you to scream. You had completely forgotten you were hundreds of feet in the air. He watched your descent in good humor, before frowning.

“Why isn’t she flying?” He asked. It immediately dawned on him. “Oh shit, she can’t fly.”

He then flew down and caught you, laughing at your terrified expression. You were mere moments away from death.

“Why’d you tell me to let go when you don’t have powers?” He asked, still laughing at you. “I thought you did! You’re hilarious~”

You were at a loss for words. As you tried to calm yourself, he smooched your face, only adding to your fear.

“Don’t worry!” He assured you. “I’ll be sure to hold onto you much tighter from now on!”

Goggles Invincible

“Let. Me. Go.”

This variant was condescending. Mostly towards others, but occasionally towards you. He had grabbed you in the midst of the turmoil and taken you into the sky. He now just casually floated in the air, with you in his arms.

“Now why would I do that?” He asked you. “I worked so hard to find you. It would be nice if you reciprocated my feelings.”

Buildings burned in the background, and it was all his doing. You couldn’t even push him away, his grip was too strong.

“You can’t expect me to love you. I don’t even know you,” you said.

“But I know you, Y/n.” He brushed through your hair, removing some stray rubble. “And I know that you’ll love me. Eventually.”

You were sure you never met him before, but somehow he knew you by name?

He then abruptly turned, holding you closer as a stray bullet hit his back. He looked down, and you craned your neck, seeing a few police officers in the distance, guns outstretched.

“Surrender! Now!!”

He sighed, before returning to the ground, setting you down gently. You barely blinked and he had already closed the gap, violently slicing through every person that opposed him.

You watched in horror as he held one last person by their throat, lifting them off the ground. Blood seeped from that officer’s mouth as they gasped for air.

“You almost shot my girlfriend,” he told the officer. His voice was calm, but his tone was terrifying. “Maybe I should sever your spine for that.”

He squeezed their throat harder.

“Or just rip you in two-”

“Don’t!!”

He paused, turning to you, the officer still in his vice grip.

“Please,” you pleaded. “Don’t hurt them.”

You looked at him with so much desperation in your eyes. He smiled, thoroughly enjoying your expression.

“You don’t want me to hurt them, sweetheart? Well, unfortunately I already have-”

“Anymore.” You quickly corrected yourself. “Don’t hurt them anymore. Please…”

The silence that followed was deafening. You could hear your heart violently beating in your chest, awaiting his response.

He then turned his attention back to the officer.

“Consider yourself lucky.”

He released the officer from his hold, much to your surprise (and relief). The now freed officer collapsed to the ground and gasped for air.

You had saved that officer, but unfortunately not the others. It was a horrifying realization.

“Shh, it’s okay…”

As he hovered towards you, you instinctively took a step back, before his hands reached out to grab you. He held you in place, leaning in so only you could hear.

“I did that for you, Y/n. Can’t you see how much I love you? …And I think I deserve a reward, don’t you?”

Your startled look was adorable to him. He leaned in, pushing his lips against yours.

He was gentle. And you had to reciprocate, or he’d kill that last officer, you just knew he would.

So you swallowed your fear and pushed your lips against his. He smiled into the kiss before capturing your lips again, holding you as close as humanly possible this time.

Once you both pulled apart you were breathless, and a knowing smile was on his face.

“See? I told you you’ll love me.”

Mohawk Invincible

Invincible Variants X Fem! Reader Pt.1

This variant was maniacal. The second the prison was attacked you cursed under your breath, gathering your files in hand before making your way down the now crumbling hallways.

You were the head nurse of the psychiatric ward in this prison, and to say you were desensitized to all situations was an understatement.

“I quit,” you grumbled, hearing the sounds of what seemed to be mass destruction outside. “Once I file these reports, I’m getting a new job-”

You stopped when someone slammed through the roof of the prison right in front of you and into the hallway, landing harshly in a pile of cinder blocks.

That person then quickly pulled himself up, wiping the blood from his nose.

“Fuck,” he spat. He was wearing black and blue, and had a mohawk.

Judging by how he looked more pissed than hurt, you decided your best course of action was to remain silent.

He then crouched low, you assuming he was going to take off, but he paused midway when he saw something in his peripheral vision.

You stood there, clad in high heels, a ruffled blouse, and a pencil skirt. Notes were in one hand, and your other hand was on your hip. Although you were frowning, his eyes lit up, his attention now solely on you.

“Hey baby~” Those words rolled off his tongue too smoothly. “How’d you end up in a hellhole like this? I’d be breaking in just to see you.”

“I’m assuming you’re the cause of all this chaos?” You asked him. He made his way over to you, a smile on his face.

“Yea, you’d be right.”

Just your luck to meet the person behind all this. Fire was slowly beginning to spread, and your way out was now obscured by smoke.

“You know…” he said. “I thought this world sucked, but you just might change my mind.”

He seemed completely unfazed by the now raging fire farther down the corridor. You on the other hand had internally panicked, your way out now engulfed in flames.

“Can’t change anything if I’m dead. I don’t suppose you’ll get me out of here?” You asked him. He laughed.

“I mean I could get you out, but I’d want something in return.”

“I see. I’m on my own then,” you said.

You then spun around and raced off, heading back the way you came. Much to your surprise, a few seconds later, he flew right beside you, continuing the conversation.

“You’re going to fucking die at this pace,” he casually said, his tone somewhat amused. Although annoying, he was right. Your high heels were slowing you down significantly. So you pulled them off and ditched them. “Aw, that was my third favorite thing about you.”

Third? "What’s the first thing?”

“Your ass."

Classic.

You stopped when faced with a wall of fire, your new route now also engulfed in flames.

You were trapped.

Sweat dripped down your face as you took a cautious step away from the fire, your back bumping right into his chest. His arms then wrapped around your waist, keeping you still as he leaned in over your shoulder.

“So, are you gonna die here? Or do you want my help?” He taunted you. You were already feeling lightheaded, it wouldn’t be long now.

You kept quiet for a bit, your body becoming heavy.

“...Guess I’ll…” you choked out. “Just die…”

Your legs then gave out, and everything went black.

~

As you regained consciousness, you noticed two things. The first was that you were laying on your back, a ways away from the prison. The second was that someone had pulled their lips away from your lips, their body on top of yours.

“Oh shit, that actually worked-”

“Get! OFF ME!”

You pushed as hard as you could, the person pulling back a bit. It was him. You coughed as you spoke.

“The hell’s wrong with you?! Kissing me while I was unconscious!?”

“I was RESUSCITATING you!” he yelled. “What the hell is wrong with you? You’d rather die than ask for help?!”

“I don’t want your help!”

You tried to move away from him, but his arms locked you in place.

“Oh no you don’t! I saved you, so you owe me.”

“I didn’t want-”

His lips were on yours again, and since you couldn’t push him away, you bit his bottom lip as hard as you could.

Sadly for you, it seemed to have no effect.

He laughed into the kiss, before pain then seared through your lip.

“AH! What the hell?!” You exclaimed, blood now dripping from your top lip. He rolled his eyes.

“You started it.”

Omni Invincible

Invincible Variants X Fem! Reader Pt.1

“...”

This variant was calm.

Of all the people he could encounter, of the billions of people on Earth, he had to spot your variant.

He knew you quite personally in his world, so seeing a different version of you here was jarring to say the least.

He didn’t believe in fate, but this… the probability of seeing you here, at this exact moment? That alone made him question himself.

So he remained silent, and just watched you from the sky.

Amidst the chaos, your car had refused to start. You turned the key as many times as you could, the engine whirring for a few seconds, before coming to a complete halt.

“Well, there goes my escape plan,” you sighed.

You then exited the car, shutting the door behind you. People were screaming and running past you, trying to get as far away from the destruction as possible.

“Guess that’s my next course of action,” you mused. You locked your doors, and paused, staring at your reflection in the car window.

He frowned.

You should really be focused on getting away from the turmoil, but you were taking time to sort out your thoughts instead?

You never really had survival instincts.

“If I die here, then so be it,” you murmured.

You then ran, moving away from the middle of the street, opting to stick more to the sidelines. You had gotten a ways away from the destruction until you heard explosions, noticing a building in the distance was crumbling. Your head whipped to the left, thankful you weren’t in that area.

In your rush, you failed to notice that you were heading towards a large sinkhole where the ground had crumbled.

He furrowed his brows, arms crossed.

He shouldn’t interfere.

You got dangerously close to the edge, more focused on the destruction behind you and not the impending doom directly in front of you.

He shouldn’t interfere.

You then fell over the edge. A gasp of surprise escaped your lips, quickly followed by an ear-piercing scream.

He was forced to act.

Your screaming stopped when you realized you were no longer falling. Relief washed over you in waves, before confusion followed, your eyes looking up to meet your savior. He was clad in red and white. You recognized that outfit.

Omni Man?

Wait no, it wasn’t him… who is this?

“Hey.” Was all he said, his expression neutral as he looked down at you. You could see your reflection in his goggles. “You should be more careful.”

You didn’t care who it was. He saved you, and that’s all that mattered.

Tears spilled from your eyes as you thanked him profusely, causing him to frown.

“I thought I was ready to die,” you said in between tears. “But I’m terrified of meeting my end.”

Those words…

It was the exact words his version of you said before she died.

It was… unpleasant to hear them again.

He didn’t say anything, and you noticed that you were both ascending. Now out of the large sinkhole, you were greeted with the gentle breeze from the world above. You assumed he was going to set you down here, but instead he veered to the right, leading you far away from the destruction.

The once large city was now a speck in your peripheral vision.

He landed in an open field of flowers, before setting you down.

“I need to go back,” he told you. As he turned away from you, you nodded in agreement.

“I understand. You have to help more people, right? And stop the bad guys!”

“. . .”

“Just be safe out there, okay?” you said.

While he was faced away from you, you noticed how darkly stained his cape was towards the bottom.

What was that?

Before you could examine any further, he had turned to face you, a small smile on his face. He offered a hand, and you happily accepted, intertwining your hands with his.

When certain words left his lips, you were taken aback.

“You… want to kiss me?” you whispered, disbelief in your voice. A nod from him confirmed you heard him correctly. “O…o-kay.”

He then leaned in, his lips pressing gently against yours. You returned the gesture, the two of you sharing a kiss. He was so sweet, so gentle. That set your heart ablaze.

You didn’t know who he was, but you knew you loved him.

As he pulled away you quickly leaned again for a quick peck, kissing his cheek.

“Thanks for that, you should go now. People need you,” you said. Your eyes held so much adoration for him. He then ascended into the air, pausing to say something else.

“I’ll check in on you later, Y/n.”

And with that, he was gone.

Your heart was still pounding from the kiss. But as you calmed, you furrowed your brows, letting your thoughts sink in.

“...How did he know my name?”

Listen I LOVED Another Chance At Love, But I Need It Darker. Like WAY Darker. Pretty Please?

Warnings: graphic description of violence and death, forced relationship, manipulation, yandere trope, cannibalistic tendencies, not proofread

"Emperor..."

The sound of your voice was the only thing able to dring through to Mark during his homicidal fury, eyes lighting up in almost manic joy as he shifts his attention away from the mangled carcasses in front of him. His torture had them succumb to their injures minutes ago, and yet that didn't stop him from contunuing to vent his anger on their lifeless bodies.

Their excruciating deaths should serve as warning example of what awaits whoever dares trying to take you away from him.

Not even two hours had passed since those rebels abducted you, hoping that taking you hostage would serve as means of negotiation - though some of them argued about whether or not punish him for his crimes by making you suffer.

Even if they intended to kill you, that brief interaction with 'normal' people was a welcomned diversion from your lonely existence in the Emperor's golden cage.

Of course there was no reasoning with this man - if anything, their actions had only further fueled the hatred and aversion he felt for those 'inferior creatures'.

From the very start you knew that their hopeless ambitions would cause dire consequences even for the uninvolved, but were unable to convince them of abandoning their efforts. You claimed that you were insignificant to the Emperor, merely a disposable plaything he would kill himself eventually. It was only half a lie...

...but after all this time of being succumbed to his madness, you stopped fearing your death, yearned for it even.

Invincible kept telling himself the same damn thing, trying to convince himself that his little infatuation of his was nothing more than a feeble fascination he would soon overcome.

However, the moment he realized you had disappeared from his chambers, he saw red.

Because the opposite was the case: You were the last thing that kept his mind somewhat intact, the only person to bring forth the last remnant of humanity he wasn't even aware he possessed until he met you.

Without you, he'd burn it all down.

"Y/N!" he cheered, not a hint of having gone berserk earlier left in his tone. He let the corpse of the latest enemy he busied himself with drop onto the floor, and you winced at the disgusting sound of bloodied flesh hitting concrete. Your stomach turned, not due to the horrific slaughter unfolding in front of you, but because all you were able to feel right now was relief that you weren't on the receiving end of his wrath.

That doesn't mean you're safe just yet. Your punishment may just have been postponed due to his relief to see you unharmed, and his delusions making him belief you returned to him out of your own volition.

But the truth is you had simply given in to your fate long ago.

"You okay, doll?" Yes, a doll. A toy. That's all you are. Victim to his whims, used and tossed away...or broken. Whatever happens first. "Those savages didn't hurt you, right?"

Your eyes were glued on one of the enemies that was still - barely - breathing, his limbs twisted in unnatural positions and writhing in unbearable agony.

"Hello?" Mark cannot stand your attention to be on anyone else than him - your hero and savior, after all - trying to make you snap out of it by flicking his fingers in front of your face. "Look. At. Me." His voice remained smooth as honey as he spoke, but there was a subtle threat to the deliverance of his line.

He was a wolf in sheep's clothing, nothing more but a monster that adapted a human performance in order to lull people into a false sense of security.

You knew him better than that, learned to read every shift of tone, microexpression or movement of his. It's an act of self-preservation that helped to redirect his erratic nature before it could hit you.

But this...was just too much to be worrying about yourself.

"Please..." you choke on your own sobs, rooted on spot in the middle of carnage. "Put him out of his misery."

Your saddened, almost disappointed expression hit his chest harder than any punch of his father ever could. He wasn't able to feel guilt for his actions, not really, but that doesn't mean he's completely callous - as much as he wants to be.

Mark's emotions are just different than most: Dulled, incomprehensible, easily overshadowed by the Viltrumite propaganda that was drilled into his brain through inhumane methods.

And right now, he feels...damn, he can't even put it into words.

But he can show you.

His mouth is pressed into a thin line, and you can almost feel him roll his eyes behind the black goggles as he wryly scoffs "You're such a killjoy."

Nonetheless, he presses his boot on the poor fella's skull, and you hear an audible crack before it scatters into a million pieces of bone and brain matter. He takes a second to admire his handiwork, at least having the decency to wipe his hands clean on his cape before approaching you. "The things I wouldn't do for you, amirite?"

You stand there motionless, hugging yourself as you watch the crimson pulp, a sole tear escaping your eyes despite your best efforts to present yourself like he expects.

"Ah, c'mon. Don't be a crybaby. You've seen me do worse." A condescending smile decorates his face as he towers in front of you, petting your hair in a both warning and appreciating manner. "Aaaaand...?"

"...and I love you either way" you wrung out the empty, repeated words he wanted to hear, and instantly Mark grabs the back of your neck, pulling you in for a searing kiss. His canines sink deep into your bottom lip, a sensual sigh escaping his throat as he savoured the taste.

"Why do you care about those lowlives anyways?" Your breath hitches when he strokes your cheek in a mockery of tenderness, always anticipating pain. "Be-because I'm one of them."

Silence.

You fucked up.

Why do you always provoke him, you both think in unison. It would be so much easier if you'd just go against your true feelings and continue acting like a doting partner.

Well, sometimes the heart speaks it's truth faster than the reason can catch up on.

Mark clicks his tongue in contempt, his palm still lingering on your neck becoming painful as his fingernails dug into the skin. He hates being remembered of this blemish that is your relationship...

...that he's in love with someone that's so beneath him, that he can never be the man you could truly, genuinely want let alone deserve, and especially knowing that your life will be over in a fraction of his own.

"Sweetheart" he spat, voice laced with honeyed venom that made your skin crawl. "You just don't see the bigger picture yet." But he'll make you see...just like he made you see that you were made for each other.

He forcefully takes ahold of your chin, eyes boring into yours and you could clearly see the storm raging beneath. "You are not like them. Not at all. Because I chose you, elevated you to be more than the pathetic worm you were destined to be-"

Blood was rushing so loudly in your ears, you didn't even notice reinforcements arrive and opening fire until Mark had to release his grasp on you. The bullets hitting his back aren't enough to do so much as tickling him, but it was you he worried about.

A manic grin splits across his face as he swung an arm around you to shield you with his body, while at the same time disarming the small group with an effortless strike.

Weird.

You were sure he'd kill all of them instantly.

He dwells in people's misery, but not at your extent, and currently you were close enough to get into harm's way. And he never misses, so why are there survi-

No.

"Don't-" But Mark silenced you with a glare as he grabbed the two survivors by the throat, lifting them up with ease. His cogitous hum turned into a demented cackle, as if a metaphorical lightbulb had just lit up in his head.

So he spared them intentionally.

"You probably thought you survived up until now because you're special or some bullshit..." his pressure on their windpipes increases, taunting them with his hauntingly calm voice, "But you were simply not worth killing. It was way more fun seeing you writhe, hiding in the dirt and knowing theres nothing you can do to stop me. But this..." He points over his shoulder to where your trembling self has to observe all of this. "That crossed a line. I don't like others touching what's mine."

Eventually, Mark turns around to face you again, his facial features encouraging, innocent even. "Choose" he orders, exhilarated with this new game he invented for his entertainment.

This is no new situation, really. Yet it never fails to break apart your soul, taking something from it that you can never regain.

Usually he makes you wittness him committ atrocious deeds, just to make you tell him rehearsed affirmations of your love afterwards. He wants you to see him at his worst and stay either way as if you had any choice at all.

This time however, it wasn't enough. Never is.

He wanted to actively involve you.

"Y/N, darlin'..." the Viltrumite chants lovingly, quite amused as he watched the rebels helplessly claw at his arm, struggling against his sheer tremendous power. "I said choose. Who dies, the man or the woman?"

You softly cling onto his back, tug and punch weakly at the fabric of his cape as you bury yourself against his unrelenting muscle. "I-I can't...please do-on't make me..."

"Do. It." he urges, an irritated crease forming on his forehead. "Or I'll kill them both."

All your pleading and crying is to no avail, and soon it's drowned out by those people's choking and gasping, echoing against the walls of their destroyed hideout.

Ultimatively one of the two manages to signalize you his dying wish, glancing frantically over to his female companion before his eyes roll far back into his skull, close to passing out. Sadly, you understood immediately.

"The man!" you scream at the top of your lungs, shortly before life left their eyes completely...

...just for Invincible to bury his hands into both of their abdomen, balling a fist inside them before pulling out their intestines. He licks his lips as their blood splatters across his face, grimacing at the foul taste. Yours is so much better.

Oh, how much he wishes it was you instead. He wants to eviscerate you, nestle in your chest cavity right next to your heart.

"Why..." You fall to your knees, defeated whimmers soon turning into angered yells. "WhywhywhywhyWHY?!"

Aw, it's so cute when you're upset. It's gotten harder to lure a reaction like this out of you recently.

"A gift" he explains, shooting you an unapologetic look as he caged you in between his arms. "I know you too well. You would've blamed yourself for the choice either way, but like this you don't have to." That probably makes sense in his disturbed sense of logic. A sign of his wicked sense of affection.

He should do this more often.

It always bothered him that you were so...good. It made you incompatible.

But Mark...he slowly but steadily molded you. Soon you'd be perfect.

"You're the fucking best!" He exclaims, as if he wanted to shout it across the world, to let everyone know that just how amazing you are and that and you're his.

"Deep down you're just as fucked up as I am" Mark then chants, clearly pleased with himself. He boops your nose, leaving a blood red fingerprint. "And I just helped you realize that. Embrace it."

You refuse to respond to that, not wanting to give him the satisfaction. And yet the worst thing is that deep down, he might be onto something.

Of course you had no other choice. Of course you played along to survive. And even if you didn't comply, he'd have methods to make you...

...but in the end he didn't even have to try. You were just so damn tired of it all, grew indifferent to a degree that frightened you.

Maybe you weren't all that different after all. Not anymore at least.

"Let's go home." Mark curls you into his arms as gently as he was capable of, securely keeping you in place as he rose into the sky. The air was filled with dust and smoke, a perfect excuse for the tears dwelling beneath your lids, shall he ever acknowledge them.

You close your eyes, trying to dissociate and shun out the heartbreaking reality and yet their screams were haunting you even after you had been too far away to hear.

Subconsciously, you cuddle up against Mark, hearing an almost shy chuckle rumble in his chest. You tried to warm yourself in his embrace, however the coldness you felt was far from physical.

"You've been through a lot" you hear him whisper, an unusual concern present in the way he speaks. "I'm sorry for not protecting you better." It's the first time he apologizes, and it's not even because of his own actions.

"I don't know what I'd do without you, seriously..." Much to your surprise his voice cracks in genuine anguish at the mere thought of losing you, but he's quick to put up the confident front again. "Don't worry, next time I won't be this merciful with anyone that dares trying."

Your head falls in defeat and you lean your ear against his sternum, allowing the tears to run free while you listen to the drum of his heartbeat. It was constantly slow and surreal calm, beating erratic only in the few occasions that you were not with him.

"Shh...don't cry. I'm here, I got you." Mark's lips grace your cheeks, savouring the salt of your tears as he kisses them away. "I love you...and I won't let anyone take you from me ever again."

His gentleness is almost harder to bear than his cruelty.
