theatre acting the crucible Mercy Lewis I'm joking a little but also not I love your headcanons for Mercy as a feral gremlin child :) fun fact this post has been in my drafts for two years now! we had just gone off book in 2020 when rehearsals got cancelled because pandemic but now we are back and almost to show week!! in a weird way it's been kind of nice getting to live with Mercy in my head for way longer than I would with a regular show I've had a lot of thoughts about her‚ from her affections for Abby (not entirely platonic) to her place in th power structure f her society it will feel so good to finally do this show though. it's been unfinished business for a while! but yeah. on the one hand Mercy is kind of terrible but on the other hand I kind of love her really‚ all she wants to do is dance naked in the woods. and also Abby remind me to post my playlist for her some time love our feral gremlin child who also does some murder 'a marvellous cruel plot to murder' as Danforth says I'm half-tempted to write fanfic of what happens after Abby and I/Mercy rob her uncle and run away together who knows how that will go though. the other night the actress who plays Abby and I were joking around an I don't even remember what I said but she threatened to throw me off the boat before we reached the Caribbean so. it might not go so well for Mercy in the end after all. lol but personally I like to think they get their happily ever after :) you know‚ after all the murder anyways yes‚ excellent headcanon
