It may be too late to show it, but-
Ever since Barnaby’s plush arrived I can’t get them out of my head. At first this was just a redraw of a drawing by @/teachyouhowtodothesponge cuz I like the way she draws Barnaby, but I ended up changing it a bit in the middle of drawing.
I like to hold my niece in a headlock when I walk and talk with her because she’s too slow to keep up. I thought It’d be funny if Barnaby held Wally the same way <3 OH! and just so we’re clear ↴

Maybe a hot take, but can we chill out? People are going so far to push and claim and scream about how bad we are, how the fandom is "ending up like every other fandom" How everything is taken so far and exaggerated? There have been attempts on NSFW art yeah, and we handle it. Even when the creator has said we shouldn't have to, not even go after those people, to just have our own fun and enjoy our home.
I'm not saying just let those things happen, of course it shouldn't happen but how we let it taint us. How we yell that clown will stop doing this, that we'll drive them away and it's our own fault when by everything that's been given and written there has been no claim of that? That when the creator says that they'll see this through, how much they love us and it goes ignored? For what? To blame each other that we're so terrible they'll leave? What did we even do? All I see is everyone telling each other how bad this is when we've been just fine, full of beautiful, creative, lovely darlings that found this home for ourselves.
It makes me sad to see us see ourselves that way, to even remotely say we're just as awful as things that have lasted years when we've barely just begun. It's saddening to see people claim such drastic things that clown was in danger and had been doxxed or worse. Taking clowns message of stress and using it and twisting it to use as a weapon against each other, it's disheartening.
Clown wouldn't give up for a few bad eggs and yelling at each other won't help either.
I feel like this comes from a fear we all have, a fear of things getting so big that it does end up bad, a fear that there will be terrible people here, that this place will crumble just like all our other dearly beloved creations who we left because that home couldn't feel like home anymore. So at first sight of trouble we panic, we scream, we try so hard to push everything out that could hurt us we miss the point.
We suffer from that loss and so we fill it, this perfect home, a sanctuary, it gave that to us again and I understand that, I've felt that, but doing this to each other doesn't help. Let's make this house a home, let's just let each other know we're the absolute most, that we're all just little darlings meeting eachother and experiencing this world together. We're safe, and we don't need to jump that gun so fast anymore.
I can't say when I would add more to the comic but you all are just the most so take some doodles

Platonic child!reader ≈` *

"Barnaby?"
"Yea, kid?" His heavy accent runs thick as he looks at the much smaller puppet from his spot on balancing on a ball.
"Why do you do what you do?" The small child puppet asks softly, looking down while kicking the felt grass which surrounded their shoes.
"Don't you get.. bored?" They asked in an even softer tone, almost like they were scared to hurt the large dogs feelings.
"'Course not, kid!" The large dog exclaims, jumping off the ball haphazardly, niether him nor the child puppet questioning and it just.. rolls down the hill. Out of sight, out of reach.
"Why d'ya ask?" He put his large, blue paws on his uncovered hips, his body easily towering over the smaller puppet.
"I guess I just can't imagine doing the same thing.. forever." The child reveals, solemly looking off as the sunshine covered ball rolls down the grassy hill. They lived in a practical paradise. An artificial one.
"Barnaby?"
"Yea, kid?"
"I'm bored."
Wow….Ok…When I woke up, I did NOT expect my post to get as much attention and love as it’s gotten, especially not in such a short amount of time! I haven’t been active online in a while, but since I found Welcome Home and it gave me some inspiration to draw and post, it makes me so happy to see people like what I made :> thank you guys for all the likes and the reblogs! I thought I might as well try and post all the doodles and the drawing of just Wally without the background or other edits (even though this is my fourth attempt at posting it here)
