Sometimes you've gotta take received wisdom in tabletop RPG design and do the exact opposite on purpose, just to see what happens. I've got a vaguely superhero-adjacent RPG I'm working on right now that flips the whole "the player characters' actions should never result in an NPC's death unless that was their explicit intention" thing turnways and makes it literally impossible to engage in physical coercion of any kind toward another person without some non-zero likelihood of accidentally killing the target in the process, and let me tell you, it's resulted in some fun "okay, how are we going to do this" conversations.
As my groups resident DM this is way too relatable.

Was a DND character I was working on trying to determine color pallet Right just before the shit went down with the "Open license", Going to try and resurrect them for Pathfinder or other games. There a Dullest Dex fighter with a Charlatan background.

♡ About me: I was spawned and have lived my whole life in Kangaroo land (Aussie) I'm currently working full time as a nurse, my interests include: D&D, videogames, anime, movies/TV, [insert various degrees of nerd shit] if you hadn't noticed already I like to think myself to be a humorous individual, If I don't tell at least one joke a day I will probably die, but that doesn't mean I can't be serious! I once tried writing my own book when I was in highschool but after reading the first few chapters I picked it up, found a match and burnt it to cinders.

♡ Experience: a long time ago, in a galaxy pretty close by, I found something by the name of critical roll... so yeah much like most people I stumbled on a few podcasts and YouTube clips, I watched them for about a year before dipping my toes in myself, I have at this point played for 1 year and DMed several one-shots and short campaigns.
♡ What I like about TTRPG's: Simply put I love stories! I've adored them since I was young and borrowed every book I could in the library, played videogames for hours on end (one time I played a game so long the disc overheated and snapped), movies, tv, anime, cartoons, anything that can be absorbed and enjoyed I've tried to take part in it, and I find TTRPG's are the best place to make my own story. Roleplaying in character is sooooo much fun, talking to npcs and players get me swept away in the story, plus TTRPG's are a great place to make friends and socialise.
And now, the guilt trip
Today I DMed a game for a group of friends in person for the first time in years, and it was so stinking amazing! They were all newbies, but seemed to really enjoy it. I have been running public dnd games for the last few years now, which I absolutely love, but there’s something so special about playing a game with a group of close friends, and the trust and interaction in those games.
