He’s such a nerd and I love him for it

It's so fucking funny to me what direction they went with Tsubasa, in a good way, it's like, okay he's a flightless bird who wants to achieve his impossible dream to fly that fell through a riff in space-time and landed in the city, like, okay, sure.

And he seems overall pretty shy and anxious and that makes sense. His dream was considered silly and impossible by everyone around him and he's 12 it adds up.

But everything about him is just, so amusing to me. Like his first reaction when he saw Sora was to Jump Out Of The Window While Still Human. He looked at a giant storm in which he could die and thought that was the perfect weather for flying.

He's been staying on Earth for a whole year to research AERODYNAMICS! He has a MAKESHIFT RESEARCH LAB! THIS KID ALMOST DIED, WENT TO ANOTHER WORLD, AND INSTEAD OF GOING BACK HE THOUGHT: "Wait...this world can give the Scientific Knowledge Necessary to Achieve My Dreams!" And took an impromptu research trip.

HE SAW A GIANT UFO DESTROYING THE CITY AND WENT: How is that flying, that is not aerodynamically possible?!"

I hope every time a ranborg starts flying he runs the numbers in his head. Presumably he can fly in his Cure From and I hope he questions that too. I'm so excited for when he (probably) goes to school. Cause this is just, lovely characterization,

(I hope that he told his parents where he is...like I assume so but yknow)

Looks like we got another Precure birthday! This time, let's take a nose dive into the world of Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure and soar in the sky with the little bird who's always doing his best! Everyone, say happy birthday to Tsubasa Yuungai aka Cure Wing from Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure~!

Like Sora Harewataru, Tsubasa Yuunagi originates from Skyland, a fictional city within the Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure universe. Tsubasa specifically hails from the Puni Bird Tribe and is actually a bird himself! He's actually been studying aerodynamics in the human world so he can learn how to fly better and has been hiding in the background for a while! That was until the infant princess named Ellee-chan ran into a bit of trouble, which worried Tsubasa so he went in to save her! That was when he was caught by Sora and had to spill the beans about what he was doing here....when the enemies attempt to kidnap Ellee-chan, Tsubasa's desperate attempts to save her awaken his power, allowing him to transform into Cure Wing!

Personality wise, Tsubasa is a hard working kid with a heart of gold! He's always doing his best to look out for his friends and deeply cares about them! Despite this, Tsubasa wants to become a cool adult and learn how to fly, so he's always studying aerodynamics and attempting to become a cool and reliable adult in his own way! Although he struggles to express his feelings and doesn't like to be treated like a kid, Tsubasa does his best to become a reliable knight to protect Princess Ellee and always trusts his friends!

Tsubasa is voiced by Ayumu Murase who's very fluent in English! He's known for voicing Venti from Genshin Impact, Don Murasame from Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, Setanta from Fate/Grand Order, Cecil from Rune Factory 5, Yuugo Kamishiro from Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and it's DLC Hacker's Memory, Sayo Samonji from Touken Ranbu, young Shotarou Hidari from Fuuto Tantei: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull, Yeon Hajun from Paradox Live, Tori Himemiya from Ensamble Stars, and so much more!

OUR FIRST BOY CURE THAT'S PART OF THE MAIN TEAM HELL YEAH HERE WE GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! I LOVE TSUBASA SO MUCH-! The entire cast of Hirogaru is crazy (lovingly) so thankfully, Tsubasa is one of the "sane" members (if you wanna say that cause I do uwu). He's a really good boy who's always doing his best for the people around him and we ALL love him for it!! HE'S SUCH A CUTIE TOO LIEKMDSKJ NSAUIDFG I WANNA PINCH HIS CHEEKS AND EMBARASS HIM LOOK AT HIM AND HIS BIRD FORM IS SO FAT AND CHONKY AND SAIOFHFG UDIGVH FD I LOVE IT IT'S SO CUTE OIWSNHFUAISHDNGIJ

Tsubasa Yuunagi + Platonic Gender-Neutral Reader

Today was just another quiet day within Nijigaoka Yoko's household.

Birds are singing, flowers are blooming.

On days like this, Yuunagi Tsubasa would take a break and peacefully read some books out on the porch of Yoko's household. With a glass of water in hand, Tsubasa flipped through the pages of the book, absorbing as much information as he could into his mind while the spring sun rays shimmered throughout the sky. The cool breeze blew against his skin as Tsubasa took a deep breath, leaning back into his chair and closing his eyes. "Ah..." He muttered. "This feels nice..."

"Aaaand boom~!"

Tsubasa opened his eyes, glancing to a corner as he spotted you, throwing some bright orange fabric into the air, then immediately crash down. As he gently closed the book, Tsubasa placed the book onto the table and dashed towards you. "(Y/N)!"

You gasped as you caught the orange fabric back into your hands. "Hey Tsubasa! What's up?"

Tsubasa tilted his head in confusion. "What are you doing...?"

"I'm helping Ageha-san plan a fun event for the kids!" You explained with a bright smile. "Sooo....I made some kites!" You held up the bright orange fabric to him, displaying it in all of its glory. To his embarrassment...the kite looked EXACTLY like his bird form, yet modified to be a kite.

"Is that..." Tsubasa muttered, hoping he was dreaming.

"Yep, it's you~!" You playfully stuck your tongue out. "I thought it'd be cute, you know~? But I can't get it to fly properly...I thought I made it right..."

Tsubasa gently took the kite into his hands. "Well...the wind isn't supposed to get stronger till this evening..."

"Crap..." You muttered. "This was the first kite I made too and it looks like crap..."

Tsubasa softly chuckled as he analyzed the seams, gently running his fingers across the hastily made stitches onto the paper and fabric. "Well...would you like to remake it? I can help if you'd like."

Your eyes shimmered like the burning sun. "Then be my model so I can make it better~!"

"...huh?!"

But offtopic, if these Precure boys met the Secret Trio, I think they can be good friendz.

And then again,

Not even going to ask how the frig those two caught up so fast, like a whole town or two over?

Come on girls, really now... (even the movie hints this is something Satoru wanted, its just salt on the wound at this point on how bad they messed his character up come second half. You could have added them in after the movie had come out.)

Although disappointing these three didn't get a single scene of interaction outside of this. Come on Toei, you're getting a little collection going here, your Magical Boys need a scene, a moment to!

Because your not suggesting, the boys couldn't get together and have a sub boss, to open a way for the girls to go to the main boss of a movie? Just saying, we are missing out. The boys get to shine, with out taking away from the girls.

And that's it, Daifuku doesn't utter an other word after wards, so movie wise, you don't know his status. Can he still talk? Can he still turn human? Was that it, just a one turn deal? All you see is Satoru holding bunny Daifuku, Daifuku isn't even in the group animal shot at the end when Tsubasa reveals himself and Tsubasa is the only one in human form through out the credits?

Come on Toei, what is Daifuku's status? Is there a chance he could cameo again in another movie down the road? Would Satoru and Daifuku be included with the Wonderful team as far as movie universe goes?(They are technically canon in the show to and Daifuku could talk at the end of that at least ???)
